The best way to apologize to the internet and in the celebrity world is by showing you are changed, no need to say it directly, just act upon your mistakes slowly and you will see your career come back up. This happens even in Hollywood
This. Apology videos are so ineffective because they're almost always disingenuous. The only decent apology video I've seen was PewDiePie's and that's because he didn't dance around the situation and place blame on everyone else or bullshit his way through the apology.
@Egg T He's a very genuine person, you can tell. He just says that he was an idiot and made a mistake, everyone else scripts these either really dramatic or really disingenuous videos.
@@cables7897 that's a different thing. Logan embraced the backlash, not ignored it. He also ACTIVELY tried to better himself instead of making giveaways to make himself look like the good guy.
Logan Paul is like the anakin sky walker arc. He started off as a good guy, then he turns to the dark side, and then he comes back and finally redeems himself. Greatest RU-vid Arc in history
@@portergarza6946 what do you mean? he did he was minding his own business doing short comedy skits that the people enjoyed, then everything changed in 2017 after starting the vlogs
Logan genuinely pulled the biggest 180 on his career back in 2017, then reversed it and pulled another 180 just under a year later. EDIT: And he's done it again. Not the redemption part, but you get the idea.
Been following Logan through it all, definitely can see the changed and actually really like the guy. I’d assume most of his haters nowadays haven’t watched his recent content
Exactly. To add to that, there’s nothing wrong with being a childish adult, you just need to be a mature one too, and know how far is too far. I think he’s either very close to that or has achieved that at this point. His podcast is pretty decent now all things considered.
The reason Logan Paul was able to make a comeback because he made an actual mistake while not thinking and he genuinely regretted his actions because he knew they were wrong, not because other people were mean to him. Other RU-vidrs that make this kind of mistake don't change, they just make excuses and try to change the subject.
Exactly 💗 unlike those youtubers who go ahead and be racist, get called out, apologize (in the typical youtuber apology ofc), then act like they changed after a day then try to bury what happened…
Thats why i like him now sure i don’t love him or his content but he’s just neat cause he actually matured and learned from his mistakes which is why hes loved so much
im happy there are people who realize. I honestly accepted his first apology and didn't see it as fake and then it wasn't long before he took steps to understand why what he did was wrong
@@julianj9830 Technically this is his 3rd fall because his first was Vine, his second is Japan Forest and the third is now if you counting the Vine fallout thing, so maybe add another "rise and fall" haha.
The first podcast that he did with the 'True Geordie' helped his reputation quite a lot because it was the first time someone genuinely gave him an opportunity to explain himself rather than talk down to him
I think a lot of it had to do with his training for boxing. Such a good outlet for emotions and all that excess energy he has. Plus that tough schedule pushes you to be better in every way.
"You either die a villain or live long enough to see yourself become a hero" Edit: yes i understand that this isn't the original quote, thats part of the joke 2022 edit: aged poorly 💀 💀💀
Well this definitely needs a follow-up To be fair to Sunnyv2, Logan was relatively under the radar when it came to bad press. At least compared to his brother. And then of course he decided to scam millions one day. That's not some 'lapse of judgement'. That was actual malicious intent.
Great video about an awesome story. I'm one of the people that went from hating this guy to nothing but respecting him for his hustle and honestly great RU-vid content over the past year.
@@manfromnoxani4814 No, he and his brother are not the next gen of boxing. That would be reserved for actual boxers, i.e. Davis, Haney, Inoue, etc. I'll give credit where credit is due though. Their marketing skills are fuckin brilliant. They may be the future of large scale publicity stunts that generate an insane amount of revenue.
@@heru8059 boxing is not just fighting skills. 50% is fighting skills and 50% is marketing, for example Floyd, he is worse boxer than Manny but just because of his marketing skills he is 4 times richer than Manny. And Jake has boxing skills, he won against Woodley who was nightmare in welterweight as a striker.
@@heru8059 + his chin and fight IG is very good, that shot from Tyron was fatal, and he managed to keep calm. And he uses his body and reach for more points which shows he has high IG in boxing.
To be fair, his original "apology" wasnt all that bad, its that he did something SO horrible that no matter how good his apology would be, it would have never been enough. The only way he could be "better" is to show he is better, and he did. He changed, and genuinely made himself loveable again
KSI literally saved his career and humbled him. But props to Logan too, he worked on himself, didn't let that loss let him down but worked his way up and matured on that journey. And their latest podcast is one of the best Podcast ever uploaded on RU-vid now.
@@whydoiexist2180 not really lmao. He just grew out of it but he is more of a mature frat boy now. He is around mature-ish frat boys too. Heck he is even friends with lana rhodes and she is in his house.
My respect for Logan is high. Nobody has been such a dark hole with no escape and manage to get out of that hole. Most youtubers could not handle that kind pressure and hate. Fouseytube is a prime example

Honestly from hating your enemy KSI, to becoming best friend with him. That has so much respect already and he has become so much more humble than all the other people. Is something you would be proud to tell people to look up as.
Despite the meme it was: Logan Paul's apology was atleast real. After the event, he did eventually become a good person. It helped him see that people wouldn't put up with anything.
@@emiliagreyford4714 He is still a good person, you dont need to donate to be a good person. He can donate ofc but not everyone has the will like someone like mrbeast.
Ngl I can see he has definitely changed. The incident of Japan really did open his eyes. Now I went from hating the guy to respecting him. If that isn't character development then I don't know what it is.
Now, a year later, his podcast is still going strong and he signed with the WWE. Perfect career move in my opinion, he found a niche that fits. Professional boxing wasn't quite right for him, it was too serious of a sport for his brand and persona. He actually was a wrestler in high school if I recall correctly. Pro wrestling is perfect for him because it allows him to keep the hype and his persona part of his brand.
@@Idek_anymoreYT you have a fortnite pfp so yeah I'd doubt you would even hear about him scamming millions from his vulnerable fans such as you. Even if you did you prob wouldn't care but u needa realize Logan is a shit stain
I still remember the day the vlog came out. I had been subscribed to Logan for maybe 6 months at that point and had been watching his vlogs daily. I was a freshmen in high school so his loud, obnoxious behavior, although I could tell that, was proper for me at the time. I remember coming home from school and seeing he had uploaded a video. I had been watching the video thinking everything was fine and he was just being his loud self. I thought it was odd for him and his friends to go into that particular forest (given its reputation), but kept watching. Either he or one of his friends pointed out the body of someone who had ended their life. That’s when everything came crashing down. They were talking about seeing the body and then… showed the man (may he Rest In Peace). At that exact moment, I paused the video, unsubscribed, closed RU-vid, and just sat in my room soaking in what I just saw. I was 14 at the time. I was confused and sad and questioning how anyone would think that could be okay. I will probably remember the shock and reality shift I experienced from that day for a long time. I’m sure non of you care, but I thought I would share my point of view.
it's crazy how this could've been me. but for some reason i had seen the notification of the upload but decided i would watch it later. when i did eventually go see it it was taken down.
@@destinycarreon1810 same. Im a teen now but then i was barely 11 i think when the vid dropped and at that time i was with family for new years and i always wathed his vlogs as soon as they came out but since i was playing i decided i would watch it some other time. The fact that i wasnt english and still a kid i would have thought the vid was nothing crazy however only a year later did i rlly found out what happened and damn what a dissapointment
I was 14 and my cousin was 13, we both searched for and found the video and watched it together, said it was messed up, and went back to playing fortnite. Lol.
Seeing that kind of thing at such a young age can be traumatic. Especially if the kid that saw it struggles with those kinds of issues, only to find their idol making fun of it
Im currently 28 years old, and Its interesting to see the generational difference between younger kids and kid back in my day. Around that age kids in school used to share morbid videos through bluetooth, and many websites were sought after for their IRL crude accidents and whatnot.
@@alucardtepes8402 i mean you gotta admit he acts better, idk about away from the camera but even skimming through his video (i dont even watch the guy) it's not as bad
I feel like there is this naturally tendency to think someone will always be the same and they can’t grow, but it genuinely warms my heart to see him change for the better and take pride in that.
That’s really what happened to him. He got older, and during his 20s at that. You mature a lot at this point in your life. Some faster than others. Maybe he was just a late bloomer in that aspect. The part where he said I’m just gonna become what everyone is saying I am. Meaning controversial. He was still trying to find his identity, and when he made that mistake In Tokyo he started to mature from there. I think it was a wake up call for him for sure.
His character development is really interesting and it shows that even the scummiest people in the world still have a chance to change themselves for the better. I really enjoyed this content.
He was a Engineering Major so even though he was immature he's a pretty smart dude. He learned from his mistakes and adapts. I'll have to watch his channel more.
Logan has always learned something from every mistake ever since Japan, and even tho part of his energetic ego remained, he knew when to actually stop and not take it too far. He really has matured
He’s definitely grown up a lot. He still does things but not like he used to. His flat earth troll was genuinely funny in parts too so I don’t mind him anymore. The flat earthers were so desperate for a celeb in the mainstream they took him hook, line and sinker. It was great.
Well… this video aged REALLY badly lol. Dudes crypto-scamming people left & right out of thousands of dollars, while making controversial remarks on people’s personal beliefs. Way to ruin a “redemption arc”. 😂
If I was a commentator, I wouldn't even risk reviewing him like that lol. Even if the change was major. I mean dude filmed a dead body. I wouldn't really go as far as to trust a genuine redemption arc from anyone who had done stuff like that. Same goes for anyone who scams their own fans by promoting their own site. That isn't usually something that can be taken lightly. Im honestly surprised how quick people are to forgive
@@stellamariefanboy.6768 There has been a HUGE wave of new users since the forest video. Yeah, many forgave, but he's also attracted new users that are oblivious to his antics.
He also gained loads of noteriety when during a podcast episode he defended Harry Style's decision to photograph in a dress unlike his fellow podcasters.
I get the vibe that Logan went to therapy during the dark period, got on medication that helped him, and just didn't archive his journey like other tubers do. Whether because he feels ashamed of it or saw how archiving your journey turns your entire channel into that journey, it worked to make him a better person
So Logan is like No man's sky in gaming. People where so excited about the game having promised so much stuff to do, then totally dropped people's hope upon release but ended up redeeming it after the team behind it continued to make progress and update
People have to work for the second chance. Not given it, like how people aren't obligated to forgive someone. Apologies without changed behavior is just manipulation. *cough* Jaystation.

As someone who has had experience with suicide, I absolutely hated him after the suicide forest video, just the thought of him brought up so much emotion. But it think Logan is a proof that people can change for the better, and I think he’s genuinely a decent person. He was very naive and fell into the trap of fame and would do anything for it. Not like what he did should be forgotten but I sure have a lot more respect for him.
@@worthybutter2004 I just can't believe someone who seriously considered suicide or has dealt with someone else in his/her life going through that or even actually committing it to be capable of forgiving Logan's actions, i just can't.
It’s almost when you act like a mature, normally functioning human adult you’re not seen as an asshole regardless of what your past says. Something his brother has yet to figure out which absolutely blows for all of us Edit: This aged HORRIBLY. Logan is a literal scammer but still somehow a better person than his brother lmao

@@MiiQ2 why? He didn't commit a crime. Yes. it was insensitive. but not a crime. The whole point of that vlog was to spread suicide awareness, but the method was wrong.
His podcast really did change my opinion. He comes off as a someone genuine. He’s treated so many episodes as him being a secondary member, where the guest is front and center and he’s just there to help guide a conversation if need be. Basically, a really good host. It’s a perfect example of showing people you’ve changed rather than just saying. It’s like he realized people are going to hate him regardless, and he’s accepted that and doesn’t blame people, but for the people who’ve been willing to give him a chance he’s become a shining example of how to redeem one’s self.
I remember watching the daily vlogs in 6th grade and watching the forest video and watching his reputation fall. As I grew up and matured throughout highschool, he grew up too and I think that's what really brought me back into being a fan, which is a great thing. I feel like a lot of the young audience that was a fan grew up and matured with him, which helped the growth of his reputation.
I do appreciate Logan’s effort to turn his life around and try to redirect his career. Even if he only redeemed his career reputation to a certain extent, the effort and things he’s done to redeem it are deserving of respect.
The fact that he redeemed some is awesome by it self. Imagine being one of the most hated youtuber but still getting ur shit togheter. Its fucking amazing man
I actually think Logan is a really important story, so often do people learn literally jack shit from their mistakes and continue to be garbage people, Logan showed that you can change though and that it is possible to come back from rock bottom. Of course he was still a moron before, but he realized that and made some big changes to become a better person, respect.
@B.J that's why I agree its overstretched. Not even top 10 most likely youtuber to get cancelled. Now its david dobrik that's youtuber of the year to get cancelled. Reduced to his 3rd channel called views.
I’m so glad you made this, I for one have thought of this for a while now. It’s so impressive to see someone with that much influence be able to turn themselves around. I truly like him and really like his content in the message he puts out now.
I must say this was a comeback I never expected, nor did I think it'd be okay with it. But I actually am, and I genuinely enjoy his content now. It's always cool to see someone make the effort to improve.
Not a saint level but not gonna lie, he's becomes better than his past self. And then some people that were worst than him start showing up in every social media.
There was a time, I liked those two, when I was a young boy back in 2016. It’s almost hilarious to see how he’s turned himself around, he’s an example that people CAN change, he did some really bad things, but he pulled himself back in such a way that is really respectable and is something that many can look up to. He became an adult and grew up, along with his fans.
something recently which huugely helped his reputation recently was being on a sidemen video ran by KSI the person who was basically the figurehead of calling Logan out, which symbolically means Logan is now acceptable to everyone if even the person who didn't like him most in the world accepts him
