U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Monday vowed the U.S. would take "all necessary actions" to defend its troops after a deadly drone attack in Jordan by Iran-backed militants, even as President Joe Biden's administration stressed it was not seeking a war with Iran.

Read a news article this morning that the EU is sending ships to help protect shipping lanes. It does make me wonder if the US will wait until these assets are in place first for their retaliation strike. We will see soon enough I suppose.

Potentially. Could be that the US has signaled they’re committing their forces to fighting the Houthis, etc on their doorsteps and the EU is moving in to protect shipping since it’s mostly their trade anyway

People in every westernized are going to struggle even more if the United States doesn’t do something about this though. If you think America going to war over oil as bad, imagine America and all the other countries allied with us going to war because you made our shipping so expensive that is impacting our citizens. There are a lot of people who are about to die over this. The West is willing to literally starve entire countries if they don’t fall in line. Is that bad? Yeah. But that what will happen. If it gets bad enough, United States will just use tactical nuclear weapons on their enemies and if you think China and Russia are gonna launch all their nukes and destroy the world over the United States, using tactical nukes, and Iran, after all of, this is going on, you have something else coming . This truly escalates to a huge war it’s gonna be bad for everybody, but it’s gonna be worse for the people, and I ran and their allies that it is for the United States and their allies. I can promise you that.
