I stopped going to Disney after I went to universal last year. The hotel prices are incredible and you get so much for the price! I even became an annual Pass holder for universal. 😊
The Lightning Thief is such a vibey choice for a hotel stay. Pure switch off chill. Why I can identify that book from the half a second it appeared on the screen is a story for another day.
We have two trips booked for endless summer in the family suites. With our pass holder rates, they are $98/night for September and $109 for December! 🎉🎉 Super excited about these awesome hotels and Universal Studio!
We just spent 8 nights at Dockside in March and loved it! Rooms are clean and comfy, it’s quiet, food is great and transportation is convenient. What more could you ask for? We’ve also stayed at 3 other universal resorts and always have a great time. 💙🌎
I was just thinking weeks ago that it would be perfect if you did a review for this hotel! I am taking my family to Volcano Bay to celebrate my daughter's birthday and this popped up! Thank you so much! Great vlog as always!😍🎉
The Endless Summer hotels are great if you're on a budget. We stayed in a suite at Surfside last year (it's smaller and quieter than Dockside) and we're planning to return in 2024.
So I’m checking the prices of disney and universal and saw that I guess that endless summer has two different, but same prices hotels, so thanks for this video!
We spend 3 days in the hotel!! Total dream come true, room service was amazing, great view, yes there is Walgreens across the street and even a Dennis, free shuttle to universal studios, I have starting saving up again to take the whole family again to the hotel and the parks.
Thanks Quincy!!! We stayed in February with our two kids in the suite and we absolutely loved it, There are some things I discovered You can’t charge to your room at this hotel unless you pre-add money to the room. You can use cash or pre charge your card and text to ask for your remaining balance. We discovered this when I asked if we could pay cash for our charges at checkout and were told then. So we loaded cash and whatever was left at checkout was released to the card we gave at check in. Mobile checkin is not automatic, it’s random, only some people get the email for mobile. We have seen that sanitizer every single video yet there was none in our room (small problems lol) There is a walgreens very close by you can walk to and get snacks and certain groceries for your fridge.
We stayed here in December 2021, and it was perfect for me, my daughter, and my adult son. I let my adult son have the extra bedroom. It was a fun mom and Kids getaway for an amazing price. The hooks under the TV were extra nice for bags, purses, etc.
Stayed her in 2021 on a last minute switch from an airbnb, and it was so nice. I absolutely plan on staying there again for our next trip. Only one bath was the only minor issue. It is so large that even though there was a lack of drawers and closet space, there was so much space, it really wasn't a big deal.
We love staying here! Transportation to the parks and city walk are so convenient , the buses run every 10min! The rooms are perfect for family especially the 2br suites. On site Starbucks! The pool os a vibe and the dj does games with kids/family pool side. The sanded area is also a plus for kids. We will be there in July!
Hi Quincy, this hotel is so nice and cozy. I would definitely stay there. But of course, I'm here for the bed science. No other Disney vlogger does this. Just wondering, was there ever a hotel amenity that was a pleasant surprise, that made you say "wow, this is cool"? 😊
I am staying at Surfside during my trip in February. I also got a suite. Very much looking forward to it since it will be my first trip to both Universal and Disney
I stayed there last year. My friend and I picked for 3 days and had the Harry Potter package. We loved it there. We also lucked out and our room was ready when we got there at 11AM. We ended up hanging by one of the pools and then headed over to City Walk for dinner.
as much as i love universal, i couldnt stay there more than 3 days i feel. thats where disney beats them, theres just so much more to do. i can stay at disney for more than a week
Just booked for end of June 24 I was quite surprised at the price overall. I have noticed since this vlog was made Disneys “value” resorts have come down in price. All the All-Star Disney resorts came out a couple of hundred £s cheaper than this resort at the time of booking last week, definitely a forced reaction by Disney to compete with Universals ethos in providing value for money.
I stayed there twice last year. I found no cons (but the food). My tip related to the elevators is that there are more 4 just go through the corridor. People often go to the main four and the others get no lines. The parks that are not near are Disney parks. I like to eat at Cabanas Bay so I get two buses to go there every day to have dinner. Transportation is very much efficient.
Personally, I had three bad experiences during my trips to Universal. As well as staying at one of their hotels. For me, I'd love this for the value you get. Unfortunately, Disney would be my main reason for the vacation. So without a rental car or a ride share that can take my family to Disney (which would be near impossible because we'd need space for two ECVs.) The price and access really do entice but I don't know how it would be possible for my family. Otherwise, I'd be for it. The hotel does look really nice. You always do such a nice job with these videos. I love watching them. Although I am a bit of a Quincy fan-girl. I'd love to see the other Universal hotels.
Thanks for the thorough review! We are going to be there next month. Which pool do you recommend for a 4 year old? And is there a resort fee? Do you think we should bring ear plugs? Thank you!
Yeah, Universal is better than Disney . I've never been to Florida and even I know that. I want to thank you for agreeing. My question to you is this: What took you so long to spend so much time and $ on Disney in order to figure that out? Again: Thanks for posting!
You have no idea how tempted I am to book to stay here in 2025, especially with all this uncertainty regarding Disney's price increases. I love Disney, I really do, but I'm just concerned about the possibility of being priced out by them. Universal, on the other hand, they seem to have a better balance with their prices
As much as this room is enough for 4-6 people, I hate that there is no privacy, when washing up at the bathroom sink. If you are, with another couple, I wouldn't want my backside sticking our while washing my face or brushing my teeth. Disney hotels are the same, although some have curtains that you can pull across the sink area for more privacy. Just my pet peeve.
