Plot Twist: Near the end of the game's story Paimon will go like: "You fool Traveler! It is I you've been looking for all this time!" and Traveler be like: ".... . . . I know."

Going by this theory, Phanes probably tampered the irminsul before saving Teyvat because she knows if her enemies are aware of her weakened state, she'll be very vulnerable. If controlling anyone's fate in Teyvat means controlling the data in the irminsul, then she probably wrote her own data so anyone around her wouldn't question her peculiar existence as "Paimon" even though her entire design gives it away.

Another suspicious thing: in that scene which nahida explains that she can reverse growth to obtain power, the traveler wasn't there. Only paimon was. The thing is hoyoverse didn't really need to get rid of the traveler there, but they did. Maybe to foreshadow that paimon is associated with what Nahida said

This is by far one of the coolest references that Hoyoverse has ever done, Just by this amount of research from a novel and Albert Einstein's work alone makes this whole story much more sense, They sure know how to make good stories, But the same time we already knew that Paimon might have something to do with the Heavenly Principles, by seeing those who make Paimon taller in fanart, pretty much predicts on what she'll be later in the story.

If this theory is true then that means we will probably have to fight against the Tsaritsa after all in order to avoid her using the Gnoses that can be used to reconstruct the laws of Teyvat and destroy Heavenly Principles, which would naturally kill Paimon as its remains

Edit: I just finished Archon quest rn and the heavenly principles was ABNORMALLY quiet after the whole thing, like the rules of the seven was literally broken and they didn't say anything. Plus Focalor doesn't actually know if the heavenly principles is alive or not, she and Neuvillette only assumed they successfully deceived them, perhaps due to their silence but in reality they could actually be dead old comment: I haven't done Fontaine Archon Quest yet, but based on the discussions going around, It seems like Focalor believe that she 'deceived' the Heavenly Principles, and returned authority to Neuvillette. And with the Abyss Whale invading Teyvat the Heavenly Principles should DEFINITELY wake up, since Abyss and forbidden knowledge is such a huge threat to them, plus they just lost one of their Archons + Gnosis. Yet they are still asleep, which is abnormal, it just suggest they are indeed 'dead' ( lost their original form and became Paimon ) in that case Focalor lowkey clowned herself since she didn't deceive anyone since there's no Heavenly Principles in the first place. Which is another example of Heavenly Principles influencing the affairs of Teyvat despite being dead just like Rebecca. (again these could be incorrect since I didn't do the Archon Quest yet)

Since it would make sense of how Celestia hasnt detected or took action as to what's happening over there in Fontaine during the Prophesized Event.

I have a question that most people seem to not focus on. What happened to the 4 shades of Phanes. - Istaroth disappeared for some reason but we constantly see instances of her power around Teyvat (e.g. Raiden's 2nd story quest) - The rest of the 4 shades have no information whatsoever - In the manga, when Vanessa asks Venti about Celestia, he flashbacks to seeing 3 figures

Also, the "strings" that go to the heavens reminds me a lot of what we find in domains. I love this game and its lore.

To be honest I'm very concerned for paimon, for quite a while now they have been hinting at them separating us from, in so many quests from sumeru and onward. even in Fontain they were hinting at the traveler possibly dying or leaving or being separated from paimon ;((

7:35 another example of this is Changsheng, Baizhu’s snake. She said she was once a very powerful and mighty being, something similar to an Adeptus, but she doesn’t remember what happened and now she’s weaker and smaller and has lost the majority of her memories and original powers

We already knew that Paimon is the "Genshin," the progenitor god, and definitely the Kiana of this game. Just look at the icon of Genshin; it's her. We'll definitely see some insane reveals and gut-punching heartbreaks later down the line. And I'm not ready for it yet.

Honestly Paimon being the remains of the Primordial One wouldn't be a big stretch. Think about it; she has wings and a crown and has the same otherworldly design as the Traveler and the Sustainer, yet Nahida stated that Paimon was from this world... It explains why she can move when time is frozen without being Istaroth or a Descender, it explains why she contains fragmented knowledge about the nations but has no real identity or memories, being reduced to a floating lifeform that exists for the joy of food and travel (much like Guoba). It's honestly less of a stretch than I thought. I still wanna know what happened to the Shades and which "war of vengeance" Neuvilette is talking about. He mentions that the Primordial One was wounded in a "war of vengeance" which is the reason why the gnoses and visions were created, and implying that this "war of vengeance" happened before the Archon War. That leaves us with two possible wars; the first war against the dragons and the war between the Primordial One and the Second Who Came. Since the unified primordial civilisation had direct contact with the Primordial One and the Shades before the arrival of the Second Throne, it's most likely that the "war of vengeance" is the war against the Second Throne which ruined the primordial civilisation and made the Shades disappear, but why does Neuvilette call it a war of vengeance if it's between two gods that came from outside Teyvat? Is he implying that the Primordial One and the other Descenders are some sort of race, and the Second Throne wanted vengeance for something? Remember, the twins' arrival in Teyvat was described by "the heavens responded" to a summoning. Are all the Descenders part of some weird race of gods from outside Teyvat? Even with Neuvilette's reveal, everything before the Archon War is so confusing, especially when it comes to the Descenders.

i honestly wouldn't be surprised of Hoyo killed Paimon off in the end of the Traveller's journey. because everyone can agree that even though she has an annoying voice, she's really loveable as our travel companion. especially with her talking about all this sentimental stuff in the fortress of Meropeide, it's like they're setting us up for the heartbreaking destruction of Paimon..

That line in traveler's voiceline "But the world will burn no more for you shall ascend" reminds me of Teyvat travail trailer where Dainsleif said "Defeat me, command me to step aside... The THREADS OF ALL FATE WILL BE YOURS TO REVEAWE" That's what he meant by that. And if you really think about it, Neuvillette in his last ascension voiceline has "I became a fully fledged dragon" and he actually did in the game. Now imagine the same but for the Traveler.

It's been quite a strong indirect hint that the Heavenly Principles are dead/gone ever since at least Enkanomiya. Even if you look at Celestia, it appears to have signs of wear and tear. We haven't met any Celestial agents ever since the beginning of the game. One thing bugs me though - if the Heavenly Principles are restored, wouldn't they be evil? Isn't that Paimon?

4.2 had some of the biggest lore drops: gnosises are 3rd descender remains, Surtalogi, the random letter confirming reincarnation is canon, whale description basically confirming the theory that Teyvat is enclosed from other planets...

Im glad u clarified in the beginning that sustainer of Heavenly Principles and only Heavenly Principles r not the same thing. Ive seen so many people saying that whenever they mentioned heavenly principles in quests they say its the unknown god we see in the beginning of the game

What a great conclusion. I know the novel Rebecca and also watched the musical and the original movie several times. But you gave me another idea. I don't think Paimon will vanish at the end, but the unknown god. I truly believe, that Paimon will claim the throne again, but be, same as Neuvielette, not hostile against the world she learned to love, while traveling with us. I think she will accept and understand why Rex Lapis and Focalors did what they did. Or maybe she even destroys her own throne in the heavens like Focalors did, and starts to travel with us to another world. Leaving this world behind, and give it to the humans and dragons.

I actually like the idea for this story to be not about US, but about our ‘companion’. Would be nice the plot to turn out to be the story of Paimon’s journey back to the throne, while we as travellers just provide her assistance to go back safely. In the end we have to choose between our sibling and Paimon, which seems to be a tough decision as we are closely emotionally connected to our companion. Btw, Paimon tends to often repeat that she’s afraid us to leave her be on her own… And also the words of Enjou strike once again, if Paimon is ‘the traitor’.

There is just one thing about Rukkadevhata...She might never have turned into a child form, but was actually born at that moment. She might be like Nahida, a branch plucked from Irminsul by the current god in order to erase them and cleanse things. But noone remembers the first god, because Irminsul was rewritten to say it was Rukka all along, and then it was rewritten again to say it was Nahida all along!

This also probably means that the "sustainer" is the tyrant enforcing things without her leader, making dumb brutal decisions like an automaton. The other thing we learnt recently is that when the traveller rescued paimon in the water she was being sucked towards a whirlpool. This implies something knew where she was and was trying to drown her. The other parts of neuvilette's lore bomb are massive also (you need friendship 6 and finish act 5 to see them) It talks about how the heavenly principles with the help of somebody turned the remains of the 3rd descender into the gnosis that held that fragment of the authority of the dragon sovereigns. Here's a crazy theory. What if the dragon king is the original usurper, one who changed the elemental lords into the dragons and pushed the world away from it's original form. Then simply declared the primordial one to be the usurper when the world was already usurped from the primordial one. We know the dragon king perished maybe he was the 3rd descender that the gnosis were made of. It also says the heavenly principles had help from someone to make the gnosis, maybe one of the hexenzirkel? Alice certainly cares about the welfare of teyvat and has powers of a high order. We know gold is on the same power level as "foul" : skirk's master, and gold is an ally of alice so likely of the same power level. Nasizzenkruetz who is also still around with close to the power of a descender has now been "cured" of his insanity by the power of reason in the sword. Anyway interesting times.

Paimon using up all her power is plausible, because ripping eight Divine Nails out of Celestia, and then throwing them at many places in Teyvat with the intention to cleanse it of the power of The Abyss, would definitely take a lot of power. Then The Sinner, which I am guessing is the one Skirk called "The Foul," could have betrayed Paimon, throwing her weakened form into the ocean. This would explain why The Sinner is bound by chains, because The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles would punish him for betrayal. This could also explain who exactly The Sinner is. Who? The Shade of Death, because what being is powerful enough to overtake the position of The Heavenly Principles, other than a Shade? Also, The Shade of Time is Istaroth, the God of Time. The Shade of Space is The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles. And the Shade of Life would then be The Heavenly Principles themselves. But wait, why would doing all those things with the Divine Nails take so much power? Because Celestia, the place where they were ripped out of, could be made from the body of a being more powerful than The Shades. The Primordial One, Phanes. Another one of Wei's theories affirms Paimon being The Heavenly Principles, and the Shade of Life. It's the theory saying that Paimon is a creation from Celestia. Why? It fits in two ways. First, the theme of contradictions within Genshin Impact, because the God of Life, the Shade of Life, being an artificial lifeform is completely contradictory to itself. The second, is because what could be better at overseeing an entire world, in the role of The Heavenly Principles, other than an artificial lifeform designed to keep watch using the Eyes of Gods, i.e., Visions. Also, her being a creation of Celestia, kinda affirms Celestia being built out of The Primordial One, if we incorporate it into this theory. Also, please, do not try to fact check me, because I have no sources for this theory.

After the 4.2 i heard a theory that the traritsa is collecting the gnoses to revive the 3rd decender but what if she is ”reviving” the heavenly principles🤔🤔

If Neuvillette knew that Celestia is dead, he wouldn't let Focalors sacrifice herself, because her plan was to deceive the Heavenly Principles. And I need to emphasize his voiceline is open even before the 4.2 story quest, so it cannot be thrown off like "he simply remembered when it was too late". I guess he's referring to someone else in mind.

This makes sense because I thought that voiceline from Neuc is a little weird. At first I thought it was referring to the state of affairs in Fontaine, but he wouldn't have said that before knowing Focalors' scheme, and wouldn't have said that after her death because she would no longer be manipulating events. That voiceline just doesn't work if its trying to reference Fontaine, so it makes sense it would be referencing something else. So does Neuv know about Paimon then?

I thought this is already a known theory by everyone, that Paimon could be Phanes/Primordial One/Celestia/Heavenly Principles. I'm surprised that a lot of people has not put two and two together considering how many foreshadowing the dialogues have been and even the choice in her character design. Or perhaps Paimon could be the reincarnation of Phanes and she's guiding the traveler to the ascension of their godhood.

Maybe yes Paimon is indeed Heavenly Principles, but she just got totally bored with her existence, responsibilities and power all the time, so she transformed into Paimon and explores the world she created, protects or controls.That may also be why she doesn't react to anything, because she wants to provoke some action in the world and witness a "what if" so to speak.

Well, all this surely aligns with the whole deal about Genshin meaning "Original God". Also, isn't there another game made by Hoyo or something way back in the beginning that had the equivalent of Celestia as well and when the protag gets there they find out the place is completely empty? As in, the gods have all gone/abandoned everyone.
