"you just need to let go of the things you think you need" hit me pretty hard.. Both me and my boyfriend were in tears by the end even though none of us wanted to admit it. I feel we need a whole other film about the son as that was what really got everyone in the cinema, its like he was the main star of the film
"since I've been in the open, there's less to be afraid of." I traveled by bicycle and this statement couldn't be more true. You move about without walls and locks. Unguarded, you are vulnerable to the world, daring it to open itself up to you. It produces a certain fearlessness and faith. Looking forward to watching this one.
Saw this film today, I don’t think I’ve ever cried this much at a film in a long time It was simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time and I loved every minute of it
I hope they do the book justice, it’s a beautiful story that makes me well up just thinking of it. But yet again, anything Jim Broadbent does is usually spot on. I look forward to seeing it.
This reminds me of the movie "The Straight Story",about a gentleman that crossed Iowa and Wisconsin on a riding lawnmower, true story, excellent movie. My name is Bicycle Bob and I approved this message.
Just came home from the cinema. Go watch this movie. It is excellent. Very emotional, one of those movies, that will have some sort of impact on the viewers life. Wonderful acting. Jim Broadbent touches every emotion along the way. I haven’t read the book and therefore of course cant tell if the movie will disappoint people who have, but I Think you will love it
Fanbloodytastic acting, production.. Such a powerful heartbreaking story. I loved it but my God I cried.. no.. I sobbed my heart out 😢😭😭💔 Not for anyone who needs uplifting.. But a fantastic, believable, moving performance. 👏
Life writes a bitter version of fiction -- in Poland in 2017 husband was visiting her wife in a hospital once a week. The twist is -- because public transportation in Poland is dismantled, every trip was on foot. In best cases it lasted 3-4 hours (with help of passing by drivers), in worst -- 10 hours.
Some years ago I read a book with the same title. Rachel Joyce was the author. And it left me stunned. Brilliant book. This is the film version. It's very good, but the book is even better. To me. The book has even more...energy. But the film is definitely worth watching. Jim Broadbent and Penelope Wilton gave quite a brilliant performance, especially Jim. Warmly recomendet to watch.
Beautiful movie . I just left the cinema and i enjoyed this a lot . I live in Germany and this was a mystery movie where the audience didn't know which Film they'll get . I was hoping for another movie and was disappointed the first 10 minutes but as i said in the beginning of this comment , i enjoyed it . Beautifully acted, the story is compelling, it has some very emotional moments. Loved it
Ok. Watched it. Was freaking beautiful. Had me a Nuyorican Brooklyn born and raised in The Bronx all mushy n shit, wtf!. Best movie of the year for sure.
