Back in 1970 i met a Swedish girl who was on holiday in London.We had two wonderful weeks in swinging London..She went back to Sweden and we wrote to each other and she decided to come to London and live together.After a few months i said we are going overland to India driving in a VW are you up for it yes was the answer.The trip took 6 months and i ending back in Stockholm completely broke.I started working in a bakery starting at 5 in the morning.Once we saved enough money to fly back to the UK.52 years later we are still together 2 sons and 6 grandchildren.We live in a small village in Kent.I grow my own vegetables and drive a 1991 240 Volvo Estate with 263.000 miles.Still a bit of a hippy at my mature age.

I met my boyfriend over 10 years ago on a random bike ride. I was riding to the beach around 9pm and he was riding with a group of friends the opposite direction. One of his friends complimented my bike, which started up a quick conversation with an invite back to his house for a game of Foosball. He happened to live in my neighborhood so I agreed to a game since meeting new friends seemed way more fun than solo ride to the beach. Probably a crazy idea at the time but they all seemed really kind. Anyway, he and I ended up spending every day together after that initial meeting and now have 2 beautiful children together. Life is great ... good thing I took that chance meeting a stranger that is now my partner for life. 😊

Love your story! Here in Pennsylvania USA we call that section in this case a “passenger car” 🚂 the front is called the “locomotive” and the back is the “caboose” A cargo car with no seats can ship goods/supplies across the country 😃 Love your videos!! 🌲 🏡 ☕️

Your story is so relatable and heartwarming. My fiancee and I started our journey somewhat similarly. She was doing her Ph.D. in Germany at the time, and I was 2500km away in Macedonia. But we'd known each other for years but didn't really get to know each other until we had our first date. And then after Covid hit, we didn't see each other for 5 months. Long story short, we realized after barely half a year that we were meant to be together. I love your videos and you are always so kind, you deserve all the attention.

Watching this video for the 5th time... My Husband and I were so very happy for you guys. We are so glad you both have gotten together for love, life, support. Live your dreams... never question the definition of why you sought this lifestyle out! We pray for you guys with winter here... always stay strong and try to you both. It is a life line to the life you are living. I gave up everything, leaving friends and family to be with the man of my dreams and soul mare. I do not regret it.. I’ve been trying to survive aggressive breast cancer... took chemo and then decided to to alternative treatment. All is going well. Recent bloodwork came back with zero tumor markers... I believe the body has a way to heal it’s self. You both have been so great about healthy living and recipes. We are blessed with you both we look everyday for new videos. Please don’t stop... it keeps me going through the cancer fight. God Bless you all. It is such a rare thing to see so beautiful, clear, honest & amazing souls like you two are, guys! You are people of their principle as I am and I think it is an amazing example for all of us and also the future generations! You are so brave to follow your hearts and dreams and the Universe awarded you to meet each other and share your experience with us. I had a log cabin, and the interlocking logs with a proper seal are amazing natural insulation, you really on ly need to insulate the roof, as the logs themselves are all you need. Both my grandparents emigrated to America from Finland, and where I reside in the United States in the state of Vermont is so very much like where you live. Here in Vermont, I have a camp with 10 acres of woods which is only 25 miles away from my home, so I can relate to how it feels to be close to nature.

I love how you trusted your guts Kalle and Christin, and I think society usually teaches us in movies how stupid women get caught by crazy brutal men in the forest but be don't get taught how we are usually smart enough to trust our gut intelligence and understand what a friend, good boyfriend or partner for life feels like. And same for Kalle who also took the risk to offer his home, address etc. to an "online-friend/date". So one super beautiful example how important it is to not follow what we see in movies or get taught by out parents but listen to our own feelings and needs! love your story and your honesty and openness and the faith to believe in the good of life

Your story is beautiful and I smiled the whole way through because I really understood. My husband called me on a Wednesday after being given my number by my ex brother in law. We arranged to meet on Thursday and spent the whole day talking. He called me on Friday to ask me to marry him and we married on Saturday. We've been together over 25 years. Sometimes you just know something feels right in every nerve in your body. Love changes everything! 💙

I have the same concerns that both of you had about moving to remote countryside life (and survive, cause my reality is city, but my heart is in your lifestyle) and also find a partner/husband with the same goals. Thank you for sharing your story, is very helpful and made me realize that I am Christine in that story... I had a serious relationship in distance with a person with different culture and country of mine, I had video call twice per day, every day, I did several questions (as Kalle shared from the web) to get know him, turned out we fell in love too... it really works (spend time + questions)... I loved this story, although it made me sad. I mean, im so happy for you. but it helps me to realize how alone I am, and that I will probably continue like this. I think im a good person, i love photography, i also have a crazy Husky; but im not an attractive man and It's hard for me to find a girl who loves me. Yes, I had quite a few girlfriends but nothing worked and, from like 3 years to this time, im not really on the "chase the girl to impress her" game. What im saying is that finding someone that likes you and share your tastes is not that easy for some of us. Congrats on that. I loved the video, you both seem to be really nice persons.

But last year we moved from Oslo to a tiny little island called Nøtterøy. We have the forest, the sea and the wind. The children have started to grow up and now I will finally start on my dream. My wife passed away years ago and I became a single father raising our five children. They are grown now and on their own. I’m very much like you two in that I would love to have a cabin on a piece of land away from the city. I’ve been a carpenter all my life and have built houses, furniture, toys and even art from wood, but I haven’t built a house or furniture or art for myself. I really would like to build this kind of life and home with a woman who is beautiful inside and out as Christine is and who would also have the same mind as me about living in the country and having gardens and animals, etc. Not sure if I should begin it by myself in hopes that I will meet someone later, because I really want a woman who, though she may be pretty, that she will want to cut lumber and hammer nails and get her hands dirty as we work together to build the foundation, the walls and roof of our cabin. This video gives me hope that this dream can happen. Thanks for sharing part of your lives with us.
