William Crawford don’t they mostly do Liberty Walk type stuff? That’s ok for a rally car or a track car. For a street car like a Tesla or Ferrari it just looks like you don’t know how to do proper body work. Like it was an after thought. To me at least.

Yeah on the tesla racing channel all they can do is strip the interior add lightweight wheels and tyres and ludicrous plus. That's it.. so no real mechanical/electrical improvements.
reducing weight of rotational mass is the best way to reduce weight. I guess they have improved even more the performance and the range of this car. So If your wallet can handle it, it is worth it 100%
Those are just visual upgrades. A few carbon fiber bits can't help you lower the car's weight. This is a heavy car and the percentage taken down is way too small. If you want to increase performance you need to gut it out completely.

That was just released a few weeks ago which is a step above the original Summon that’s literally been out. That’s the beauty of Tesla though, your car constantly gets better and better over time via Over The Air Updates. 😅
@@amongusmeegoose Nah Shmee has never used a Tesla Long Term which is something he should try out. Just use it for a full Week and realize how good it is. It's not something you can experience in a Test drive. You have to live with it for a while.

I wish that they would add an opening in the front bumper, if for no other reason than to look like a normal car... it'd also be cool to see a totally different body on a similar platform... turn it into a 2 door coupe or convertible...
The only thing holding me back in buying a Tesla is no exhaust popping and crackles noise that takes the fun out of the driving experience. And the pain of charging the car daily is a big inconvenience.
Awesome video! I have enjoyed first, discovering your channel, and then, watching probably 70 or so videos so far. Tim is an amazing person. He does a fantastic job of presenting new information in a maximally fascinating fashion. He has a tremendous, unique skill. With my head full of all of the most amazing exotic cars, all of their advanced computer driven technologies and features, I have started to think, surprisingly, in the opposite direction. My Toyota FJ Cruiser has simple, probably deliberately crude controls. There are no mode settings (oops, off road settings... I forgot), no infotainment system, no obvious way to change the state of a microprocessor used to control transmission or ignition. It is old school. I swear the interior is designed to be cleaned with doors all wide open with a garden hose. I'm dreaming that car companies will offer a new 'opposite' car in their lineup that has no technology... just old fashioned gauges, normal buttons and steering column stalk controls, no obvious computer settings, with a regular radio (AM/FM/CD/XM) in the center and that's it. No turbo, naturally aspirated, (yes to fuel injection obviously) and ideally with perhaps old fashioned access to the engine. In my new dream I can buy a brand new old-fashioned car. The car can be made out of metal, hopefully without too much obvious plastic cheapening the look of the front and rear and interior. This basic car hopefully would cost less. Wouldn't you guys like a basic car as a choice in the future? [You drive it to work, etc... It's basic transportation. It's simple.] Cheers!
Race day for Tesla's at a track day would involve lots of drivers sat waiting for their cars , and batteries to cool down, so they can drive fast again.

I test drove the Model S P100D last year and I was blown away. My current goal is an Audi RS7 but the Tesla is pulling me in slowly and the summons feature is making it worse
The Skyline from the 80s is a DR30 with the FJ20t engine. Would be great Shmee if occasionally You checked out old school cars like that one. Another great vid though Tim. Living the dream!

Not bad, not bad at all. My only hang up is the dash and HDD. I've always liked the accessibility and convenience of a busy dash. If it doesn't look like something akin to a fighter jet, I'm not feeling it.
close, early 70's Bronco. the white arch over the rear wheel and the large chrome side molding are Ford design cues. i only know cause i was just in Nor-Cal a few months back and saw somebody else with one.
If I was Schmee, one of these would be my daily/around town ride. Tons of cargo space, too, so it technically qualifies as an amazing grand tourer as well.
I do love Tesla. Well, actually only the the Model S I would like to have as a daily driver. Honestly all the bodykits do not float my boat. I think this tuning thing is for kids who just start to own cars and make them really special. I think a pair of nice rims and lowering the car does a fine job for most cars. The Tesla Model S doesn't even need to be more lower. I can so appreciate what Elon Musk is trying to do with Tesla and all the gadgets and tech would do it for me. Still the one thing that is nice in this video is the interior overhaul. I mostly buy second hand and now I have twice re-did the interieur and it doesn't have to me that expensive. So when you actually but new and buy 120.000 dollar car...go to a tuner and get that interior done the way you like it. Tuners are artists in their own right...
I was expecting cars disconnected from the company itself, since Tesla may punish modders, and the drivetrain modified for more power. Custom motor-controllers, custom cooling system, a super-capacitor pack wired in parallel with the battery pack...but a lighter body kit and better suspension is nice. So is a more luxurious interior as long as the interior isn't heavier than stock.
all jokes aside does anyone realize how crazy it is that one man owns a car company, a freaking space exploration corporation and is reinventing quick transportation itself ?
As others have said, the Plaid model coming next summer would be the one to have Unplugged modify. It'll likely have a new improved battery. Ask them about it. You're used to reserving and planning for a car that won't be available for awhile. Tesla is currently testing at the Ring.
That does look amazing to be completely honest. Would be really cool to get some more coverage on one of those S-Apex models... maybe you will have to get one ;)
