I think another main reason is that fan favorites like remote and puffball were EXPECTED to get a lot of votes so voters didn’t want to vote for characters that they thought were already going to be safe. It would be a waste of a vote kind of.

@@Hat-zoit’s not even a maybe. It IS happening. The votes in the comments are the biggest gaps between the bottom two in the entirety of tpot so far, and it really hurts to see this happen as Bomby is my favorite and has been for 8 years
i could write whole paragraphs on how saws elimination was unfair and undeserved, and the fact that she is only reduced to an eight screaming machine by the writers and fans pisses me off too, shes been my fav for 4 years
she could have been third or fourth safe, right behind pin & coiny but the fact that everyone on team8s started to get botted to oblivion was super unfair too, without bots it was easily gaty or barf bag getting out (also add the fact that saw was third safe for most of the voting until the voting war happened) and the worst part is that saw has a very bad reputation thanks to youtubers reducing her to an eight saying machine (and sams writing NOT being great at the moment). we could have easily gotten an arc with her getting the fumes out but obviously i doubt that will happen, and the fact that she will hardly do a rejoin (thanks to coiny, remote, fries, lightning and teardrop being obstacles) is super unfair too
To expand on the topic, the main 3 reasons to get eliminated are as follows: 1. Unpopularity - If a character isn’t popular then it will affect their votes, nobody will really vote for them to stay and they won’t really get a chance. Examples: Pie, Cloudy, Naily, Eggy, Clock, Cake 2. Lack of Relevance - A character is mainly either not part of a storyline that other members of their team are a part of, or they just aren’t given any screentime, they basically become background characters. Examples: Foldy, Naily, Cake 3. Suffering From Success - This category has two subcategories and I will explain them separately, but in short this category is for characters whose popularity leads to their downfall: 3A. Expected to get lots of votes - Sometimes the viewers assume a character will be safe because they’re popular, however so many people begin to think this way that it leads to that character not getting enough votes to stay. Examples: Saw, Remote, Fries, Clock, Lightning, Puffball, Coiny, Nickel 3B. Being “Overrated”/A Floater - People get fed up of seeing these characters get so many votes despite them not doing much, thus they vote the other characters on their team in the hopes of pushing the floater to the bottom. Examples: Rocky (No offence to Rocky fans)
@@hoppingiconcentral826Grassy hasn’t been the annoying useless Grassy since tpot 7, in tpot 8, they started getting better as a character with Snowball and has improved TREMENDOUSLY in tpot 10. Not saying you have to vote him or whatever just saying that he isn’t much of a bad character anymore
What I notice is that they usually give more screentime to the Characters most likely to get out and the more popular ones get less. Example: My boi Donut nearly got out in TPOT 3 so they gave him more screen time in TPOT 7 and 8 which made him the first safe. Coiny was BARELY in TPOT 8 and he was probaly the fan favourite of Team8s at the time, so they might of done this so he had a chance of getting out in TPOT 9.
Remote just got out early when she just got the second most votes to stay in TPOT 2 even though she didn't lack screentime in TPOT 4, I thought Fanny was out for sure.
I hate it when really good characters get screwed by the writing. For example, marker used to be my all time favourite character. But now he's barely in my top 15. He's just there in most of the newer episodes.

I have some theories on why this happens -There are some character who have loyal fans and then some characters who have an inconsistency on getting voted, for example snowball he has a large fan base and they don’t really betray him much even without screentime -What you explained -Some people think that character is safe, when in reality it’s the complete opposite and they get shocked -I think there are a ton of voting splits lately like with coiny and pin and honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if this theory was true
I knew people had botted Barf Bag in TPOT 3, but I didn't know everyone was botted. Like come on, Saw would've been 3rd safe. Right behind the only 2 not in the vote war. BUT THESE FUCKING BOTTERS RUINED IT ALL. DONUT SHOULD HAVE LOST I CAN'T EXPRESS HOW PISSED OFF THIS MAKES ME
Bfb 22-23 bubble is a prime example of what happened here. (Seriously, worst screentime distribution ever) On the plus side, looking at the votes when tpot 11 comes out will be a lot more suspenseful for people like me who look at the results as soon as it comes out.
this is the only flaw with vote to save. If a super popular character gets no screentime in an episode where they're put UFE, then viewers have no reason to vote them. This is exactly what happened to Bubble in BFB 23.
Yeah, and that is a good thing. It keeps you interested in the show, and each time there is an elimination, you MIGHT be wondering "I wonder who is gonna get out".

Also don’t forget to mention the fact that it’s vote to SAVE. When a team pretty much has every good character, people genuinely don’t know who to pick, so they just pick the one who did best in the episode, resulting in Coiny and Lightning’s elimination. But eliminations like Fries, Remote, Puffball, Bomby, etc. were because everyone voting thought they were going to get saved die to getting a lot of votes beforehand, not realizing that just means that they won’t get votes. AND with how hard it is to vote now with how many good characters are left, there’s several super close votes which you can’t really tell who’s out or not.
i sadly think that bomby is gonna get out in tpot 11 bc everyone obviously wants to keep the new friendship between book and price tag, and pillow developed a bit, i think bomby is getting out bc he didn't do much in tpot 10 like ppl already forgot what he did in tpot 9 😔
It’s kind of weird how are,one got eliminated in TPOT 5, she was really liked in BFB! Maybe even a fan favourite! But, I have 4 guesses why Remote got eliminated. 1, she was boring compared to the rest of the team, or either she wasn’t as popular as the rest of the team, or it’s the voting system, because she got a small amount of votes in BFB 5! But, that was in votr to eliminate, TPOT 4 was vote to save, so, she probably wasn’t as popular as the rest of DPA.
It’s not confirmed and we can’t really count it either due to the Google Forum, however Bomby and Bell are the most likely options, just because Bell hasn’t had as much relevance or isn’t as popular compared to the rest of TSTOE, meanwhile Bomby kinda got shafted in TPOT 10, Book and Taggy became friends whilst Pillow began to change her way of thinking and did a good deed
This is why i dislike tpot it not only ruined bfdi but when the characters arc will be done , cary wills stop focusing on arcs and tpot to be bad again Im excited about season 6 and idfb No i think i wanna make my own bfdi timeline were its lesss a competition show
I was happy that Coiny got eliminated, because i hated how cruel and manipulative he was in BFDIA Remote was always meh Puffball was cool, and she is the one character who shouldn't have been eliminated(same case with Fries because their team should of eliminated Pen and TV instead) And Lightning wasn't that good, he isn't the worst on DPA, but he isn't the best either, i'll gladly get Marker or Black Hole over him, but not Fanny or Tree
Am I the only one that wants TPOT to copy II and start doing contestant votes? That gives the writers more freedom to eliminate who they want ultimately creating a better show. also when characters get written off the show basically (whether it be that they pull a Stapy or get no screen time in the episode) it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and seems like a lazy way to get rid of a character
So many shows have switched to contestant voting already and I like the big, random numbers viewer voting gives compared to just the 10-20 votes contestant voting gets. . .
