I am Korean. GD was the most genius in Kpop history, the most colorful, and influenced Koreans the most. There is no one in Korea who can replace him. GD's influence on K-pop was enormous. After Big Bang, there was a junior idol rapper position, and an idol group that made their own songs. The k-pop idol light stick was first made by G-Dragon, and all men's fashion followed GD, and it was said that Korean fashion stopped after GD joined the army. He was always lonely and was cursed at at a young age. But Korea still needs his talent. I hope he can control his wounds and release the album again.

You don't have to like GD or his music, but you can't deny this man is a hustler. He worked his a** off to be where he is today. GD is one of the most impactful influences in Korean music, not just KPOP, and that's a fact.

I have never wanted to give someone a hug more in my life. BigBang was my first intro into KPop, and I'll always be a fan because of this man. This absolutely breaks my heart. I knew GD was a hard worker, but this video opened my eyes to JUST how much he’s gone through. He’s truly one of the most creative, passionate, hard working artists of this century. Hes a real life super hero for going through so much bad and coming out better than ever. Whatever GD does, he’s already solidified himself and one of the greats. Gd literally carried his Band and the company all by himself. He deserves all the love, support and respect. Love you Gd and Jiyong. Also the Knetizens have not changed one bit to this day. Attacking idols and pushing them to the edge where they cannot turn back to nobody and still these haters wouldn't stop until the idol at last gives in and ends their live. Yet they live on with their daily life like they didn't just end someone's life who is a brother, sister and a son and daughter to someone. I'm so glad Gd despite of going through all these hardship is still with us.

Bro, i cried like sh*t watching this. I never knew he had to go through all such hardships. And yes, there's a lot of difference between gd and kwon. I hope he'd be happy someday. Almost every day i listen to their music and it never fails to surprise me.. GD IS ICONIC. IRREPLACEABLE. INVINCIBLE.

At the age of 25, I had the opportunity to know Bigbang and GDragon, and their concert was my first ever. Looking back, I can hardly believe how fanatical I was about them. At that time, Bigbang and GD gave me a great deal of strength. As I grew older, I lost interest in being a fan. Today, I stumbled upon a video and it made me feel sad. Many people say he is fortunate, but maybe he is not. He stands on stage to receive the adoration of fans, but he is also swallowed up by immense loneliness. I hope that in the future, he can live the life he desires, do the things he wants to do, and find a soulmate who understands him.

He has said repeatedly that what he wants of his legacy is to leave something behind for the younger generations to build upon. His country will celebrate him, drop him again, then celebrate him again like a vicious cycle controlling relationship. Despite that, he will always love & have the biggest pride for his country even if they are not kind to him. He always made sure no matter how much he experiment with music, he doesn’t lose who he is as a Korean artist. This is why they are one of the few boy groups whose music is truly loved by the general pubic as proven by all their comebacks including 2022 Still Life. The love hate relationship Korea has with them needs to be studied. For now all I wish for him and the boys is his happiness and peace whether or not he makes new music. He’s done enough for the industry

Bigbang and GD are my youth, and my present there wasn't even one day I never supported GD. I went to his last kwon Ji Young concert, and cried when he was giving his speech hearing how hurt and lonely he is. But one made me more cry, at the end when he left us all, he said to us "you are not alone." He has such a pure heart and I wish he knows that he is not alone too.

Ji-Yong has a talent that comes naturally. His Star shines bright. He knew his path and went all out due to hard work and dedication. Unfortunately you never know if someone will love you for you, or for who you are and fame. I worry that he will mentally break. I hope he works hard on himself as a person, his health. Without that, all the fame and money mean nothing.

Honestly, I really think that people don’t understand how hard the KPOP industry really is. I never heard of him before but it’s really sad to see how he got so much hate. He was literally in this business since he was a little kid, he gave everything to make his dream come true and tried his best to satisfy his fans. I am REALLY not a person who cries like really never but those last minutes brought tears to my eyes. You said it all, we want him back but more importantly we want him happy. I went to see him live in Berlin in 2017 and he was incredibly amazing but he seemed very sad too, and even though it was one of the best days of my life, I still felt deeply sorry and sad for him. G-Dragon was the reason I discovered kpop. His song One of a Kind was the first ever kpop song I ever heard. I became a fan instantly. Then I discovered he was in a group BigBang. I became their fan instantly lol. I remember alot of the hate GD would constantly get. It was unreasonable, so unfair, and I felt so bad for him. I was getting a little teary eyed because I remembered some of the interviews and appearances he did where he looked so defeated. It was heartbreaking. I sincerely hope he is doing better these days though. I hope he is putting himself first above all else now.

All of these fame and success were rooted from a kid who only dreamed to perform on stage. Many of today's aspiring artists set their eyes on fame without preparing themselves for the journey in between. Talent can only get you so far but his work ethic got him everywhere he wanted. A true inspiration to anyone who aspires to be better. Sometimes hard work isn't enough, but the man Kwon Ji Yong showed grit.

I was a total die hard fan of Big Bang in my 20s. Life and adulthood got in the way so I’m no longer as fanatical… but this video just took me back to that time. GD is an amazing person and I hope he’s doing okay. One of the clips I remember seeing is him talking about how grateful he was for Taeyang as a friend, breaking down in tears as he tried to get the words out. I also loved the moments where he would burst out laughing because when he laughed his face would light up. Paired with all the songs he’s written, it struck me that this was an individual with a lot of emotions swirling inside of him, and he’s just trying to get through life like any of us. I really hope for his happiness and I hope he lives a long fulfilling life.

as a teenager i grew up, just when Kpop was getting more popular in the west. i loved bigbang and GD was and still is my favorite kpop idol. His music ,style & art has always intrigued me. I remember that in alot of his songs u could feel an underlying sadness and meaning, although i did not speak any Korean, i could still feel it in the music. I am almost 30 now and its good to see he has not stopped creating. He has worked so hard for everything that he deserves to be happy, all this harsh criticism, is completely uncalled for, and its sad to see. Hopefully he can find happiness, true happiness and perhaps be a bit more selfish and live life for himself.

GDragon is an amazingly talented artist, but, his talent was earned through hard work and dedication as well as natural talent. GDragon should be deemed a Korean National Treasure. He’s the reason I started to listen to Korean music in the first place and I really appreciate this person for his music. I had no idea that he has been struggling so much and that Korean fans were criticising him that it got to a point where they’d actually bully him. I am sad to see that and it’s unbelievable the pressure that an artist there has to experience just because he’s an “idol”. I also understand that this is a cultural thing and they have to be “models” for their fans there, but people should also acknowledge that this is a human being at the end of the day. This person is there to deliver music to your ears and that’s it, I don’t see why in his personal life should be interfered with his performances on stage. Not trying to blame any culture here, but I wish people there would be more open-minded and supportive with this amazing artist. These idols are humans, please keep this in mind.

The very first time I heard about GDRAGON’s name was during year 2013, I knew TOP’s first before Ji. I don’t know anything about him only the fact that he’s really famous. His name has a great and powerful impact, I respect him from the beginning eventhough I don’t know anything much about him. I just give him my Highest Respect. Then during 2015-2016 when I became a Fan of my other stan group ( EXO ), I listened to BIGBANG songs. I started checking the FIVE members only that time I found out that GDRAGON was a member and leader of BIGBANG. I have a huge interest about Jiyong not because of his Fame but because of the songs that he wrote. I really admires his gift of songwriting, that’s when I found out many things about him. That his life, even though he’s really famous, always in the spotlight, many people knows him and BIGBANG. Despite all of this, behind the camera, behind the light, He is lonely. I felt really sad especially when other people says lots of negative things against him. Like yeah, you just know GDRAGON’s name but you don’t really know anything about him, about his life, about his pasts. He attained the level of success because he is hardworking, he has a dream to pursue and he never stop working, he never stop dreaming all his life. The success that he has right now, all of this achievements, that’s from his Sweat and Tears. He deserves that kind of success. And the fact that he helped other young Artists, he inspired them to follow their dreams and become successful too. I’ve always admired G-Dragon for his talent, genius and incredible hard work. I don’t follow him at all and seeing this is absolutely heartbreaking. To learn how much he has been criticised, it’s been so much. I agree with the end of this video. His health and happiness comes first. Great guide! There's many people who don't understand how much G-Dragon (and his members) going so much through. He was always different than other people. I understand why he said he feels so lonely. Even, if he has a many girlfriends. He doesn't have a soulmate and want to share his life to with someone who really understand him. G-Dragon is a unique person, not an ordinary person. I hope he find someone (or maybe he has someone) and can be really happy.

When i watched "one of a kind" video my heart decided that he'd be my favourite Korean singer until I die and it wasn't wrong. Such a hard worker, big and strong heart. He managed to write songs when he was depressed. He deserves everything good❤❤ GD' team forever. 2013 is when i first discovered about big bang and GD, i was instantly obsessed because it was my first time seeing people being so cool in these music videos, haaving cool hair, cool cloths, cool dance moves and so much talent. Big bang opened me to the whole world of kpop and that kpop obsessed phase of my life defifnitely helped me improve my creative imagination and the way i perceive any type of art.

It's so difficult not to cry while watching this video. I've been a fan of Bigbang since they released Always and being their fan is what I'm always proud of, but it couldn't help feeling heartbroken after the Burning Sun case. I want Bigbang to be legendary forever. As a fan who has grown up with Bigbang and GD, we, VIPs, know so well how hard it was for GD back then even until now. Honestly in the past i tried to find out more about gd aside from the interviews and reality shows- since i always felt like he was playing a role on the screen and not really being himself, but i couldn't find anything because i dont know Korean. Something about his aura or smth really made me adore him, to me he seemed like a perfect person w almost no hardships in life. So this video really helped me understand him better and see clearer. Now i appreciate him even more that i did before (and thats pretty hard lol). Anyways i hope he is better now mentally and has learned to rest without feeling guilty and enjoy his art without the need of approval from others. Every now and then i remember Jonghyun (Shinee) and wonder how many others feel the same as he did, but are good at hiding it? I truly hope that (if those people exist) they will find balance in life and things that make them feel content if not happy. I'm not really a kpop fan, I kinda liked BTS back then but when I first heard BigBang I was really shocked and I really liked GD I dunno but his voice and music was incredibly amazing. Untitled is my fav till this moment, he is a part of my life that'd always be remembered. I hope him the best of the world, he is a human who deserves a life of his dreams

I feel so sorry as a early kpop fan back in thr 2008. I start enjoying Big Bang but I never knee all the hard time he went to, and how much face to him mine was nothing. I think If I was more into their band I will learn and reinforced myself better. GD is very inspiring artist and I feel so bad on all the people who push and pushed harder the artist. He s very strong, big thoughts, Im re-starting that, will make Big Bang great again ♡ I miissed tem so much. Without GD, Kpop would be not so wild and diversified!

Four years ago, my dream was to see GD perform. I was thrilled when he announced his tour would go to Miami. I did not care how far I had to drive as long as I could watch him sing and dance. I was shocked. He had lost so much weight. His entire "being" was sadness. Watching him on stage I could actually "feel" it. I was stunned. I cried for him. As he sang he visibly showed how much pain he was in. I prayed that things would become more "normal" for him in the service. I actually wished he would give it all up and go into the fashion game he loved. The pressure, loneliness and depression have cost too many lives. I am praying he finds love, peace and happiness.

It makes you wonder how GD survived the criticism and depression when other idols, such as Jonghyun and Sulli could not. What kind of inner strength does he have and where did it come from?

He is idol of idols Even though there are so many kpop idols popping up worldwide but G dragon is still included in the list of the 10 richest kpop idols to date, just WOW 👏👏👏

I’ve been into kpop since 2009 but I had no idea how much hate gd received before he reached his peak. I’m glad he came out victorious as one of the most influential idols of all time. Tbh at this point, he already has a legacy even if he decides to never make music again. As a human to human, you did well Kwon Jiyoung!

Omg, this was so heartbreaking. I’d heard the name, G Dragon, but knew nothing about him. I was eager to watch this. He’s such a massive talented man, has been since his youth. But the struggles he’s endured would break most people, but he’s a survivor. The trash talk against him was mean and cruel. How can people stoop so low trying to knock him down? Not sure how’s he’s withstood it all. Again, he’s a survivor and will do just fine. I’ll keep him in my prayers. ❤🙏🏻
