Your videos have popped up on my recommended videos a lot recently. Please for the love of god slow down, and please stop being so jittery. Go slow, turn and move slowly. I only watched 1 min of this video because it’s unwatchable.
Homie I've been watching for years and my biggest gripe was the fact that you stumbled around a lot with your words. Older video felt like they lacked clear direction. This is the first video of yours I've watched in a while, and it actually feels like you have a script and you know exactly what you want to say. Keep up the good work, it's clear, concise, and to the point. Huge improvement in presentation
I just found a little thing in halo ce, if you use acrophobia skull on the mission halo when echo 419 is flying in with the wathog at the start you can flip the pelican while its flying, it will do some funny things
Very cool! Wish they had released Grotto back in the day. I always loved playing that part of Delta Halo and it would've been cool to have a multiplayer map based around it.
That arcology map was a similair style from that halo 2 e3 level right? Where it was called East African Protectorate and was like a giant tower or raised city or something
@@texel76 It may have been but that highway on one side of the map is reminiscent of the ones seem in the Halo 2 E3 Demo and that means it was at least conceived somewhere around the same timeframe as before New Mombasa got redesigned after the E3 Demo and the September 2003 Dev Build and the general layout also evokes the way the E3 Demo is laid out.
@@texel76 I don't think you're getting what I am saying, or you're just ignoring what I am saying. Earth City from the September 2003 Dev Build is in this Digtacular Map Pack and that also looks a lot like the E3 Demo level, Earth City (Called Arcology in the "Map Pack" as seen at the start of the video) is CLEARLY closer to the E3 Demo than Release New Mombasa and the version of Headlong showcased in this video clearly comes from a time close to the E3 Demo and the September 2003 Dev Build showcased in the 343 Halo 2 Dev Kit stream. Arcology itself is FROM that Dev Build, it's at one hour, six minutes, twenty-eight seconds in. The Demo itself may or may not have been meant to be played but the ideas of New Mombasa being an Arcology IS something that has clearly influenced this version of Headlong.
Is anyone going to talk about how Halo 2's campaign is now unplayable? Just me? The game softlocks and kicks me to dashboard every time I try to boot up a mission, even with no skulls or scoring. Edit: I fixed it. Just had to reinstall the Halo 2 section
It's really interesting to see how Bungie's design philosophy was being developed and shifting, even as far back as Halo 2. With maps like Grotto, the idea of re-using Campaign geometry for Multiplayer maps, which eventually became common in both 3, and especially Reach is pretty cool - not to mention how there are definitely some vestiges of the earlier Halo 2 we never got see, especially that first map which bears a great resemblance to the E3 demo map.
Awesome video!! I am the creator of many of these back when I was a level designer at Bungie. :) This is a scrape off the top of the mountain of maps that are on the cutting room floor that just never came to be, unfortunately.. Crazy to think about how long ago this was...I'm old..
Arcology was the map that was shown at e3 as the demo mombasa I recognise that area as the one where chief gets off the ghost clicks a plasma 'nade with cortana asking chief if he can stick it.
Its really sad to see how 343 not understanding what gamers want while accepting miscommunication as fact has resulted in them doubling down on their lack of creativity so they can literally do the easiest thing possible - whatever takes the least amount of effort... It's like they thought "thingamabob" meant "think about mods on Xbox." I couldn't facepalm harder at 343's autistic reaction to suggestions...
