@Vindaloo Well they just lost a bunch of friends and colleagues that they had worked with for years. It was in the news recently, roughly 1/10 people at Complex lost their jobs and just before Christmas too. Biggest cull of the workforce yet. You'd prob react the same if you were mature enough.

You really are missing a HUGE part of the spiderman AJ1's. They play a role in the actual movie they were released with, Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse. That movie was also one of the best movies to be released the entire year (all categories) and is truly an amazing piece of art. Pair that with the fact that the Miles Morales spiderman is really loved among streetculture as he's a really well-written superhero with black/hispanic roots.
He technically doesn’t wear the exact same shoe in the movie though. There’s some differences so it’s not a completely clear connection. I agree though, brilliant character and movie.
@@samleejessop Yeah that is true which is slightly annoying ngl. If it were up to me I would've given Miles sneakers something unique in the movie. Maybe a spraypainted outsole or something to connect it to the character and then have the sneaker release be identical to the in-movie sneaker. That would've really upped the storytelling in the and probably resulted in more dope sneaker too.
Quick shoutout to the team behind the promotional photos and videos for the Ebay SB Dunk. My brother DP'd the video and his friends all shot the photos and did the additional footage. Just know that it was shot by skaters for skaters. I really enjoyed getting more detail in to the history behind Sandy and everything the SB team did for him during his battle. RIP and glad they're doing it right with this charity raffle.
Those Spider-Man Jordan 1s look like a test pair. Kinda like you would do a screen test on a T with multiple prints, seems like they put multiple swatches of fabric and prints on the shoe.
Come to Maine for the lobster. Welty has it right on that one. I feel like the Dali story for the latest Lobster dunk adds to the desire for the full box set. The spider man one definitely has a Lichtenstein vibe. Salehe’s latest NB are definitely a year highlight.

Dunn made good points about the wearing of Oregon Duck PE's. As a guy who went out his way to get CAU dunks i wish they made more PE's for other schools because we would love to have those types of issues

fully agree on the exclusive school colour ways and I feel the same way about the artist related releases too; recent Khaled 5 release case in point - I really like the sail cw and the build quality looks really nice but I'm absolutely not wearing anything with "We the best" written on it when I think Khaled is a total plumb. If you're not from Oregon or have allegiance to their sporting programmes then I think you deserve ridicule for riding the "exclusive wave" of duck releases. I appreciate all those releases but I definitely think they're cooler if they belong to alumni and fans of the reference.
I mean can’t blame them. Getting sneakers now a days is super ridiculous. Getting similar colorway but a no name brand. I mean this is nike’s fault at the end of the day for being way too exclusive or not have pre orders, etc
