I said it many times, and it's a fact. He is still to this day the only man who beaten all of the biggestest riders of this era, he beaten Rossi in his prime, he beaten Stoner in his prime, he beaten Markez in his prime. He, non other, never by luck, pure speed and determination. Class. Enjoy your retirement, all of us who love the sport will surely miss you. All the best.

But he will NEVER be a Rossi, Stoner, or Marquez. Just a guy with great skill that never made it. (Yes, he has done more than me and is better than me, this doesn't give him points towards being better or even on the same level as ANY of the aforementioned.

@WARRIOR FIGHTER PAHLAWAN Marc took two titles and lost in third season. Who are you to predict his prime years? What if he continues like this next 10 years? And It is irelevantan to my point, to this day only title lost was by Jorge. I'm not bias, I don't have favorite rider, I just love this sport. And calling someone a liar... It's rude.

A true champion.. smooth rider.. perfect techniques.. 5 times world champion.. 3 times runner up... 47 victories.. and the only rider beating rossi46 ,stoner27 and Marquez93 in the championship... Congratulations for a brilliant career...u will be badly missed..

I remembered seeing Jorge for the first time in person at Laguna Seca when I asked for his autograph. The confidence he had was unmistakable, he went on to win his first MotoGP world championship that year. #ThankYouJorge. You are my favorite rider since I saw you race in 125cc.

Really sad to see him go, as I believe he still has the speed and consistency to win, I've no doubt about that. But he has been through hell with his recent injuries and you have to respect his decision for that. For me, as a MotoGP fan, I believe he has left too early 😪 Happy retirement, Jorge..... but if you get bored at home, you know there will be a seat available for you.

Undoubtedly one of the best riders in the sport - beating the strongest riders of his era in their prime. I'm sad to see him retire, but at the same time relieved that he chose his well-being over the risks of a worse back injury. All the best to Vale, Marc, Dovi, the youngsters and the rookies for the 2020 season.

Having had some racing experience back 45-50 years ago, I know how hard it is to be with the top of the pack. All great riders out there, the slightest shift in attention and you are middle of the pack or worse. Still going faster then most ever dreamed a bike could do! Thank God today's best can actually retire with enough money!
