Those two ghouls naming the baby "Phoenix" is deeply unsettling. Rising from the ashes takes on a really dark meaning when you literally murdered her mother and ripped her from Savannah's womb. It's psychopathic. I'm so glad Haisley-Jo survived and is growing up with her family. It's unspeakable that she will never know her mother thanks to such s monstrous act. Nothing but love to her and her family 💖

The heinousness of crimes like this are beyond imagination - I truly can't understand how you could do something like this. Beyond that, I'm amazed they thought they could somehow get away with it, and even if they did, how they could think they could truly love any child while being fully aware they killed that child's mother in the most brutal way, all while keeping that fact a secret from them.

One morning, a lady showed up with her husband and family in tow, her pillow under her arm to have her c-section. We hunted all of our records for her chart, then called the MD in. He took her into an exam room, in front of her husband and did a sonogram. Nothing… She continued to swear up and down she was pregnant 🤦‍♀️ Doc sent her straight out for a psych evaluation! As I clicked on the video, I told myself, "Remember not to believe everything hook, line and sinker" and that is honestly so cool. It's such a good exercise in critical thinking and I don't know of anyone else doing this type of stuff. Many people think research involves watching documentaries, reading books and articles - which means the content produced from that research is only ever going to be as good as the sources the creator looked at. Many seem oblivious to this and that real research means starting from scratch. Imo true crime is too important for such laziness and the victims and survivors deserve infinitely better.
@saraloe4702
@saraloe4702 Год назад
@@TheSmolinator I never read any articles. That video was the first I ever heard of the case. But my takeaway from it was that there was a strong possibilty that his department knowingly made him the fall guy for a whole bunch of crimes committed by other officers as well as his own to keep their noses clean and spin a one bad apple narrative. The fact that you brought up articles really highlights the missed potential for real investigative journalism into systemic abuses of power and the cover up of them. Obviously this channel did an amazing job but if all the print articles were just parroting the department line then they really failed in their duties.

It's certainly not unreasonable to say she'll probably be able to handle knowing her mother was murdered, it's just the horrific way it was done. Like, her mother couldn't even give birth to her because the baby wasn't even fully developed at 8 months. To find out not only how your mother, whom you never even got to meet, was cruelly murdered, to finding out that you didn't even come into this world the way everybody else does...I think that information alone would traumatize anybody. The one consolation is she is clearly very loved and supported, so whenever she finds out, I'm sure her father and other family members will be there to make it less painful for her.

I still get excited to watch, regardless, because I know he's going to cover it flawlessly and deliver a productional masterpiece. And once again, he came through. Phenomenal presentation, as usual, good sir. I think I speak for everybody when I say we greatly appreciate all of the time and effort you put into these incredible projects. @mommy2libras
@mommy2libras 10 месяцев назад
Why wouldn't it survive? 2 weeks isn't exactly "early", nor is it rare. And for many years, women didn't go to hospitals to have babies anyway- they were delivered at home. In many parts of the world it's still done that way. As long as you're healthy and had a regular pregnancy, there's no reason you can't go into labor and have a baby without being hooked up to 15 machines and made to stay in bed. And cutting a baby out, as long as you don't cut the baby, won't matter with a full term baby- they didn't care if the mother lived (and inbfact planned to kill her anyway) so it's not like you have to know more than where the uterus is. The truly unbelievable part is just how sick these people are and how inept these police were.

When Matt says “they searched their house” before mentioning an eventual warrant, he’s mistaken. Likely, police visited their home to interview them there, and while they were inside they looked into rooms from the immediate entryway. This is by far the biggest instinctive maternal fear any child bearing human ever has. I could never imagine the fear and disparity she had felt. The odds of all this makes it even scarier. I know a woman that was nearly killed by someone who tried to cut her baby out. She was hit in the head repeatedly until she was unconscious. She was saved by boys on four-wheelers. Her baby was saved and now in his 20s. and she survived with major head trauma and life long disabilities. Just recently she had to write a letter as to why the woman who did this should not be paroled. Her story should be so rare you should never hear of it again. Needless to say, this type of crime, to me, is so unforgivable, unforgettable and may the two monsters who did this rot in prison with rotting teeth, starvation, exhaustion, anguish and long long long days and nights while the crimes they committed or were complicit in replay over and over and over.

This was my first time watching one of your videos and wow, so well done. You don't constantly interject and when you do, it's always an interesting insight. I've seen/heard this dreadful case covered pretty well several times before, but the part where you break down how smart she is to use the police's ineptitude in searching their unit 3 times and missing the baby against the detectives in the interview was outstanding. Can't wait to watch more of your videos! Lastly, I wish peace to Savanah's family and her baby girl. Such a wretched and devastating case.

Hey Matt. We really love and appreciate all the hard work you put into these videos. I look forward to being a long time subscriber. There is zero fat in your videos. Dense information everywhere. Extremly engaging and funny at times.

This channel deserves way more attention. I have been obsessed eith JCS inspired/ true crime docs that looked at the facts rather than sensationalising and somehow this channel has fallen under my radar for years despite being perfect! Keep it up man

"Brooke didn't leave the apartment, but you did" 'Oh yeah, several times. Brooke never goes anywhere. She's practically a shut in." (Will doesn't realize it but he just told the cops he disposed of the body.)

@@DammnDeejay wow that’s such a great profession, I work in employment law which definitely isn’t as cool! That’s such a great idea with the secret Bluetooth lol I do that too at my desk, it’s nice to tune all the noise out in a busy office. I really enjoyed Matts video as always! keep ot up Matt 🎉 hello from Ireland! ☺️

@@xoxpctxox what’s employment law? I’ve never heard of that title before, apologies! But it sounds important! And yes listening to your fave YT’s makes the day go so fast :) especially bc a lot of people don’t speak during sessions bc they’re sleeping, or trying to relax😋 And although this was a heavy topic, Matt always knows how to deliver it smoothly so it’s not such a lunch to the gut.

I love your videos. You tower over the other JCS-inspired channels. You don't simply leave interview footage to play without comment to pad your video times. Your Patreon ads are the only ones I ever actually watch for the sheer pleasure of it. Your attitude, sense of humor, and dedication to as balanced an approach as possible keep me fascinated and engaged, no matter the subject. Your voice lives in my head forever now: "We Have C R I M E !" plays in my brain at least once a day. Thank you for the content, man.

He definitely was involved. He knew, obviously from the situation, that they thought Brooke (or he) at minimum had her baby in their home. If he wasn’t involved he would be blown away and disgusted with Brooke OR he’d proclaim her innocence. He did neither, he was involved. I wouldn’t doubt her story about him planning it was spot on.

Matt’s story telling and analysis is so good. You’re the first creator I have subscribed to on Patreon. I’m pretty certain most of your videos are not monetized cuz some of the pics I have seen on the channel but I’m glad you don’t compromise the quality of the videos!
