His Tv program,The Charly Boy Show, drew some of the highest viewing figures for an independent production. He was the President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria and a Nigerian Idol judge.
The second son of former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa. He often says that his parents engraved strong values in his DNA.
Charly Boy is known to be an advocate of the masses and has fought for the rights of the average Nigerian.

My lineage is strong! Watching my Father (also known as my husband lol) grace the Tedx stage is probably the most motivating feeling in the world, and his message of originality, determination and tenacity - Priceless! I am in love with this man!

Adaeze Oputa, I'm very pleased to identify with your Dad,the one and only Charley boy. As an igbo man living in England,I am also inspired by Him to identify with our root.

I apologise for all the presumptions I have had against Charley Boy...I so relate with his experience...Do you know who a rich guy is? One who can reject privileges, advantages and material things to , yet stood on his own...I love you Charlie Boy...I love your wife for her patience and resilience too...You guys are blue-blooded to the core.

Honestly, words are not enough to express how I get inspire each time I come across Area father articles in any of our daily news paper. Over the years, I have these articles printed out to be able to refer to them each time I'm down. They are source of inspiration to me. It is good to be different legitimately anyway, to be able to put things straight in this country. Carry go Area father, we love you.

Very interesting story. What I'd love to see is Charly Boy tell us a story about who he was before he went to America.
