It's unfortunate how little focus there is on women, and how BL can be a bit sexist, but at least The Untamed didn't have the obligatory female rival who's only personality is getting between the protagonists. That trope annoys me so much.

@@woodward_m8594 well it's been months since I last watched but I'll try; So as you know, Sang and Ying are bestfriends (along with Jiang), they were always together in the palace and Sang also said that Ying is an inspiration to him so they were pretty close, it was said, or just theorized as we see it, that Sang was the one who brought Ying to life, in the first few episodes, when someone was teaching about Ying as a cultivator, his robe and fan were present so the fans already know that it's him because it's the only fan he uses since they were all together. So he protected his soul, he resurrected him and helped him to know Guangyao's intentions. But I just felt something off since he used to be cheerful back then, always have time to have fun but he changed since his brother's death, he already knows it's Yao who killed him but he stayed quiet, nobody suspected him until the very last moment. In the morning of Yao's death, he refused to touch the blood of his headwear because he never wanted blood to be on him. He planned everything while still being clean, he made the others do it so he wouldn't have to. And the final scene when Ying realized and said "Thou shall not befriend with the devil" Sang knew it was meant for him, that made him sad. He thought everything will go back to normal when everything is solved, he didn't expect Ying to doubt him, after all, they were bestfriends. He was already lonely and he just became more lonely. It's like as if they're strangers now

@@woodward_m8594 and if it's still unclear why he did it, it's mostly because of his brother since he was the last family he had and even tho it doesn't show that much, they did love each other very much. I guess maybe some of it is because of losing Ying too when he was being oppresed by the other clans and also him dying. It just drove him mad losing everyone he loves one by one

I just finished watching it for the first time a few days ago so I was a bit unsure about Sang's intentions at the end. The whole thing with Yao and Mo makes much more sense now. You said Sang's fan was in the location of the beginning tho, where Mo was resurrected? I definitely missed that!
