Interesting talk. Attify had a cool IoT pentest course a couple years back. As an aside, dopamine induces pursuit, it’s not a “hit” when you achieve something like every parrot on the internet claims. In fact, it crashes when you finally achieve what you were trying to do. As a neurotransmitter it propels you forward to action.
Theres a cool whitepaper from CERN that talks about their methodology for hardening their security particularly with iot devices. I'd check it out! They build some internal tooling to aid in this that I'm actually attempting to replicate. Since theres no version of this software in the public, I cant just go reverse it.
