I think that would work the best for the movie (except just making a 5 hour truly bone chilling terrifying recreation that flies by) is either telling a prequel (which if i'm right inpatient already sorta did to some extent so maybe not) or to make it a slasher, that way when you go play the game you truly think it's the movie but bigger (and probably) better and the wendigo thing is an even bigger twist...that's assuming the wendigo aren't in here, but like until dawn is built on horrifying twist after horrifying twist, knowing you were only invited back because of some sick revenge plot is horrifying, realizing that Hannah had to eat her own sister to live is disgusting, and I think it's a crime if they say "oh yeah see they're on a mountain and Dr.hill is here, it's until dawn the movie" I mean in an ideal world (again assuming they can't just make a 5 hour movie which I WOULD sit through and LOVE) they at LEAST give it a 2 hour run time minimum, (and i'll be going off the fact it's 5 people in here) they keep Josh, Mike, Jessica, Emily and Chris, which I know is odd, but you have the 3 with mike jess and em, and then you got the buddy bddy bros with josh and chris, if they add in a sixth i'd quickly say Ash, and I know it's jarring not to see sam but like anyone can go through what she went through, other than thinking she had a close bond with josh (which Chris could fill) she really isn't that cool, anyways they can easily kill Jess early like in the game, Em and Ash could go for some bonding time, and Chris and Josh could stay buddy buddy, someho-, ok i'm done writing I mean like I have more to say but i'm just kinda tired of writing, idk I hope you can see where I was going, have death after death in terrible ways and say "hasta la vista" to Matt and Sam cause they aren't that important unless you're doing it 1 to 1
The thing is, if one ever wants to make Until Dawn as something to just WATCH, just make it a show. But even then, one can just go ahead and watch the cutscenes. Its honestly such a tough premise and IP to make into a movie/show because the story lives so much through your choices and the fact that you experience it by playing.
Eh, I wouldn't be too concerned. If there's anything I learned, it's not to trust random strangers on the internet who get their information straight from ... uh, from whom exactly? Their uncle who works in the filming industry? Sounds like a totally reliable source ... Personally, I'm relieved we are getting new characters because our favorites won't get misrepresented this way :) And maybe there will be a new twist to the storyline as well? I wouldn't mind that, since we already know the Until Dawn story, and it would be strange to tell the exact same story with different characters. So while I'm not exactly looking forward to the movie, I'm also not concerned about anything yet :) Edit: Btw, I have to admit that I actually like the idea of a death loop, since that would make it possible to show most choices and consequences of Until Dawn :)
