Honestly I have played so many fighting games over the last 20 +years the last amazing game I played and kept me coming back for years was 3rd Strike. Frenchbread sprites remind me a lot of that era. It doesn't have to have a 10million dollar budget like street fighter 6 I honestly would be fine for this to be the final installment of Uni The games so Unique and has a beautiful artstyle. they are a small company and doing gods work indeed. I'll throw them more money any day if they are gonna give us rollback+newchars, updates sprites,maps,music yeah, I'm not complaining. Maybe if this game does well we see a distant future for a real sequel with new engine, 3d models better graphics all that. To be quite honest though I really don't care for that at all. This game for me has it all and I'll never forget it.

I respect your rant but you gotta understand that French bread's team is not big. Sys celes is probably just a polished version of clr with a few new additions to the roster and new story. Also in my opinion the sprites are pretty solid compared to other anime fighting games around that time of their creation. If you or anyone drops the game because it doesn't fit your expectations that's normal. The dlc characters are scheduled but you can probably only see it on the nintendo eshop. There will always be a dedicated community for this series though. This isn't made by arc system works and this is not guilty gear team. At the end of the day this is just a small team doing the best they can do to deliver a new title that includes new ui, new story, new mechanics, new characters, rollback netcode, and free dlc.

Make new sprites for under night? They absolutely have the resources for that, they spent it on melty blood lumina instead which is just a wrong decision. I don't look forward to buying under night because it's the same old sprites. I couldn't care about anything else. I only need new sprites, redone stages and rollback, only these three features and this game is preordered. Everything we have seen so far is still all excellent only if this was back in 2019, even 2020, still acceptable. It's early 2024 when UNI 2 releases, I want to play a game that looks like a 2024 game, so I will play Tekken 8. Melty Blood Type Lumina is what killed UNI 2 potential. Should have used the budget of new spritework on UNI 2.

Forreal, if what was presented was all it had to offer I would not buy that game. Like I'm hoping there's a more interactive story mode outside of arcade mode. The sprite work all looks reused, and outside some changes to gameplay it doesn't seem all that different to me. Idk, maybe if the game was like 20 bucks or something but I'm not paying 50 for this
