I wonder every day, what happened to humans. Had nobody but her horrendous parents and siblings. Her dad abused her and her mother neglected her. Can’t imagine what it must be like to live like that. They never had money and they were basically homeless when she was a child. Anne never felt loved or accepted. One of her friends said she was heartbroken and started to break apart when her relationship with Thomas ended last year. People close to her should’ve stepped in and intervened.

Having Cptsd impacts every aspect of one's life making it exceedingly difficult to function normally like most People are able to do on a day to day bases because of the significant detrimental impact it has had on the brain. One never fully recovers from it but one can learn healthy coping skills to deal with the distressing symptoms. There are grounding and visualization exercises one can learn to help keep one anchored in the present moment when memories get triggered and one starts to dissociate.
