Long live Archer, no seriously, I hope they keep signing them for more seasons, Archer is simply the best. I pity the people that don't know that show.
Jimmy the dancer on bob's burgers is also archer. The comic book store owner on Family Guy as well. Oh and the voice of the talking mixed vegetable can in " Wet Hot American Summer ". Oh and coach McGurken on "Home Movies"
He is also the gas station clerk in family guy and Coach McGuirk in Home Movies. Idk H. Jon Benjamin is really a man of many voices and his characters are almost always very insane or very rational no in between.
i swear i laughed way more than i shud when they said archer threw baby seamus to disarm a villain "we are not an industry that throws babies" like their is an actual industry that throws babies lol
I think they mean like actually throwing him at the terrorist. Probably hoping reflex would get the better of him and drop his weapon to catch the baby, that's what I would do... also he didn't disarm that guy from the Pansy division, he killed him.
"The untold truth of Archer" Makes it sound like there's something they're hiding. All this is available to the public but it's nice to have it all in a condensed video.
I tried to go back and watch it after I'd seen all the archer episodes, and frisky dingo doent hold up very well . Its still funny. It just looks extremely dated
Did no one else notice that the "Krieger" that rejoined the team, was wearing a tie? Our Krieger was previously shown to use clip ons (unlike the clones), and he was wearing a bowtie before he fell from that nerve gas missile platform... the "Krieger" that we see later with Ray is wearing a tie (that and he has a head lack from when our Krieger rebelled). Hope that clears things up a bit! :)
Tori Killingbeck But when the clones and Krieger are fighting in that scene their ties/bowtie fall off so we don't know for sure... guessing they left that intentionally vague
I only discovered this show a few months ago and it is freaking great. I might get the previous seasons on DVD ....assuming I can. I'm watching repeats now, but they're new to me.
mistahbuddy "hey im just gonna throw a reference into the mix so people will think i'm one of them" at least be clever and wait for an opportunity to use the reference
i think they joined the first order, from the first moment i heard faz ma talk, all i could think of is the lady with the shaved head that took over the Xtacles and the new storm troopers being exXtacles in new uniforms.
There's actually quite a few cameos from frisky dingo characters, i'm sure there's a website with all the references including the jokes they recycle. I'm pretty convinced Frisky Dingo was the best cartoon off all time!
I feel like Frisky Dingo was left out for some reason. The show was created by Adam Reed, and even shares the artistic stylings of Archer... Along with Reed voicing the leads (Killface and Xander Crews) Frisky Dingo didn't have the life span of Sealab 2021, but it had the comedy. And a few voice actors from FD went on to voice characters in Archer.
Girl: "I'm from Germany, where the age of consent is 14."Archer: "What is it, the Alabama of Europe?"Archer is hilarious. Constantly rewinding to hear dialogue I missed while I was laughing
Who in the world figured out that insane string of code breaking? Who even knew that was even something that could be done from what, to most, appears to just be random numbers for the sake of a page filler!
Happens in video games too. I swear it could be just numbers/letters/shapes arranged in ways that make no sense but you'll have a group of people that actively obsess over it, discussing it on multiple forums with others, testing different theories, advanced math on it till they crack it. Played a game that had devs that did this, sometimes they wouldn't even mention that they added some secret shit that only appears at a certain time each week or required you to do certain things in a certain order in certain places
You forgot to mention that it's based off their show they had to cancel due to bankruptcy, called Frisky Dingo. Archer looks exactly like one of the main characters on the show.
2:18 ok but this is not kenyetta Lester, this is Aisha Tyler... she was never a hooters waitress she was an actress before archer Kenyatta is a random waitress that we wouldn’t know
Archer throwing the baby as a distraction actually makes me wonder if it's a Carnage easter egg from Spider-mans comics! In one comic Carnage tosses a baby out of a very high building to distract Venom and Spider-man so he can escape! Maybe just a coincidence tho lol!.
I hate the idea for the 8th season. It basically throws out all the character relationships and progression. I was quite enjoying it through season 7, though it had started to get pretty out there with some subplots, then the opening episode of season 8 cooled me off real quick. I liked the whole south american drug operation season because it was still the same characters, this season basically prefaces it with a giant flashing neon sign that says nothing that happens in this season will make any difference to the characters or story world. Maybe there will be short clips in episodes here and there that show the real Archer world, but I just don't care to watch it anymore. The characters in this season might look the same, have the same personalities, and crack the same jokes, but I don't care enough to try to grow attached to them, especially when they and everything they do will basically cease existing at the end of the season. Sure the characters might not make much reference to the drug operation anymore, but that still "happened" and is a backdrop for the characters' actions going forward. Bah. Humbug.
great point. i was wondering why in season 8 i just wasn't feeling the same connection as i was in the previous seasons. i thought i might've missed some key elements in the first couple episodes but now you bring it up i think that may be it. i hope season 9 is good
OMG I JUST WOKE UP FROM A NAP SMOKED A CIGARETTE ATE A WHOLE BAG OF HOSTESS MINI DONUTS AND JUST FINISHED WATCHING AN ARCHER VIDEO FROM LOOPER NOW IM GOING BACK TO SLEEP!!!
The whole Dreamland season was an ode to George Coe the voice of Woodhouse who passed away during Archer Vice. They had someone else filling in the voice for a part but beyond that they haven't had Woodhouse in the show since up until Dreamland where they put the character to rest.
I guess FX changed their mind about the baby throwing thing, because there is a episode were he does exatly that in order to disarm a former squad mate of Woodhouse's that he thought was trying to kill him.
I love the retro stuff. The computer systems used were the failed Apple LISA. And a bunch of other stuff...! I would like to see a Frisky Dingo Breakdown as well.
I always thought the facial basis for Archer was pretty much the disembodied head graphic that the website Mr. Skin has been using for years now. Ya know the cartoon guy who looks like he just timewarped from a dentistry ad from the 1950s?
Omar Elkoton watch frisky dingo. It's the greatest show ever created by out miserable species, and 10 times better than Archer. I'm pissed Adam reed left frisky dingo for archer
"we're not a network that throws babies" what about the episode about woodhouse's past where archer throws the wee baby shamus in the air, kicks the guy he thought wanted to kill woodhouse then caught the baby?
Who else wants to see Archer: Future for season 9? Fifteen to twenty years later he wakes from the coma, his daughter would be grown up, Malory has to look exactly the same and could be a running joke about her being a vampire. Maybe Krieger becomes the next Steve Jobs with some crazy technology. Endless possibilities.
Sucks that FXX cancelled Cassius & Clay before even giving it a chance. Was really looking forward to it. Maybe the pilot will get a release somehow, such as as bonus on an Archer season Blu-Ray/DVD set.
Google; The Trouble With Girls Little known comic that is pretty much the basis for Archer. Side note; Brock Sampson is Lester Girl's sidekick, Apache Dick. The knife is a dead giveaway
"We're not a network that throws babies!" ...Except Archer totally threw the baby up in the air to drop kick that guy from Woodhouse's tontine. But whatevs...
