Hopefully leftists won`t try to kill him for his stance against evil. We need to completely scrap the constitution long enough to exterminate the evil in this nation. The only chance I`d offer any of these creatures is immediate deportation.
I agree. I watched it in real time and didn’t hit his face nor was he knocked out. It hit the back of his head which is why he didn’t see it coming. You could see his face grimace and he immediately put his hand to his head where the bass hit and he was rubbing it. At least that’s how I remember it.
I met him backstage at a show in Olympia at the Capital Theater. Sweet 75 was playing with Sky Cry’s Mary. I was 15yrs old or around that age. Anyways,a super nice guy. If I was in the biggest band in the world for a little while I would say “no f’n way am I doing a meet & greet” but like I said. He was just really cool and very down to earth. Completely changed my thoughts on how “famous people” or whatever where like.
You forgot to mention his new band 3rd Secret with Matt Cameron and Kim Thayil. Also the really underrated spoken word project Butterfly Launches from Spar Pole - a great record. This untold truth just got me thinking of Novoselics last meeting with his old friend Kurt Cobain. Kurt fooled him making Krist driving Kurt around to the local drug dealers, they ended up in a fight. What a sad way to end such a remarkable friendship. Poor Krist!

Nirvana's Krist Novoselic is getting the recognition he deserves by receiving positive feedback. Just like Dave with his band the Foo Fighters. Not just it was only n mainly Kurt Cobain. There was Chad, Pat, Tracy, Courtney, Jason, Aaron, Dale, etc. Nirvana wouldn't have been a grunge based band from Seattle without the original former members. Nirvana is a classic, epic, iconic, authentic band. Yeah, I may be a rookie fan girl. Nirvana is more than just Kurt, Dave, Krist, etc. Their fans are part of Nirvana. Without their fans then there wouldn't be Nirvana.
Yeah Chris was just a perfect showman...Yeah it was just a perfect band. One of the greats.And this is comming from a man that has played all the Hendrix,zeppelin,floyd on and on...They werent very technical but hit on something so special.Im sure Kurt is tearing up his guitar in heaven..

I remember reading it in an interview where he pretty much dismissed it and said if anyone that believes it has any evidence of a murder then present their proof to the Seattle police department.
I still can't believe so much time has gone by since Kurt's passing....30 years WOW. He really did a full lifestyle 180 after that...I don't blame Krist. He blossomed into a pretty awesome person!

Had the pleasure of meeting, bud and krist when they were in eyes drift. I had a white T-shirt that I decorated with the word poop stain, and when I asked krist to sign my poop stain he chuckled and said “oh ok, surprisingly that’s not the first time I’ve been asked that!” one of the best moments as a fan I’ve ever had.
I remember seeing NIRVANA Play on a MTV music video awards show and seeing him throw his bass up in the air and almost getting knocked out when he missed catching his bass which then proceeded to land on his head 🤯🥴 Almost knocking himself unconscious. Their performance on that show really didn't stick with me with the exception of him missing catching that EL CA BONG BASS
10:22 Andy Kaufman was 6'0" and born in 1949 while Krist Novoselic is 6'7" and born in 1965. Kinda hard for Kaufman to pass off as a younger and much taller guy!
One female friend from that island near Zadar in Dalmatia remember him as shy, aloof, uninteresting boy from US, but their company educated them properly in partying, weed, music and romping, and send him back upgraded into USA. It worked. And he is something similar to Andy Kaufman??? Today he looks exactly just one dalmatian fisherman or farmer, particularly among that short americans. What a smart yet maybe dumb decision at the same time to not join the Foo Fighters. Wow. What a Catch 22! Myself as a Nirvana fan at that time was devastated at the loss of Cobain and was a high school kid kinda already felt that Dave was riding coat tails of Nirvana. Which was selfish and dumb with all his talent in every instrument in a rock band. I was stupid to feel that way. As an adult now and LOVE watching his life work among other stuff. He absolutely deserves 1000% respect for hours all around talent and has put himself in a league of his own. It's kinda like the bad feeling off Joey Jordison replacement where you loved Joey and Jay doesn't belong but yet, he's a real bad ass on the kit. Think personally if for whatever reason if the Foo bassist quit or whatever. He should definitely fill the spot. Time heals everything and at this point it would be celebrated Foo Shooo
Grohl had 2 or 3 tracks on his first album about his souring relationship with Cobain. Monkey Wrench, I’ll Stick Around, and possibly another…Krist heard these and knew there was /some/ tension between Cobain and Grohl and he knew he would have disrespected Cobains wishes if he had joined Grohl. Krist was a talented musician but his aspirations to tour and make music died with Nirvana.
What Novoselic didn't realize about tossing his instrument in the air like that, was simply this: he wasn't Rick Springfield. Rick was doing that ever since the late 70's, and he caught it every time.

Lots of Nirvana inspired bands come off as lame ripoffs (Puddle of Mudd anyone?) but Seether's first couple albums are a fantastic carrying-on of the style in a really authentic way IMO. Remedy could have been a Nirvana song with different lyrics, and Disclaimer One came really close to sounding almost identical sometimes. Glad they developed their own unique style as they went on, but Shaun's vocals on Nirvana covers give me chills. Hard agree, but it would also be easy to understand if Krist and Dave just dislike anything labelled "post grunge" as a rule

Dave Groll would bully Krist. When Dave walked in the room, Krist would get up and run away. Krist would have to ask Groll if he could practice or preform. He was always to call Dave "Master", which he did cause he feared the consequences.
Finally someone agrees with me. I thought it was in really suspicious for him to get off the drums and pick up the lead guitar and step into the lead singer role, virtually taking Kurt's spot in his new band. I thought, hmm; I wonder how long he has been wanting the lead singer/guitar spot in a band. Kurt played the drums and Dave was on lead guitar when they rehearsed "Seasons in the Sun" and he couldn't get it right. There's a tricky guitar lick in that song and Kurt kicked him off the guitar and back to the drum kit and they played the song much better. I don't think Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters ever would have reached the status they have if Kurt were still alive and Nirvana just broke up. All the Foo Fighter Fans would still have Kurt. I think people just wanted a connection to Kurt and the Foo Fighters was it, however in bad taste it was to blindly follow Dave just because Kurt is gone. Courtney got ALL Kurt's money, instead of half or less with a divorce settlement and the royalties keep piling up by the day. Dave Grohl became a Kurt substitute and Krist has honored Kurt's memory. I've always wondered why Dave Grohl softened up towards Courtney... Maybe they share a secret...
