The Unused and Alternative Beatles Album Covers 

I loved the days of LP’s because the full large covers really looked beautiful.

They should release a picture disc version of that unused Revolver album cover

These alternate images seem disconcerting, as the genuine ones are deeply endeared to us. Of course had a decision about a cover image made those many decades ago been different, the feeling the image would give us would likewise be different.

Awesome video! 07:07 - The original concept for 'Please Please Me' was to feature a shot of the band on the steps at EMI Studios by Dežo Hoffman. You can find the image in his book, 'With the Beatles: The Historic Photographs'.

For the Sgt Pepper cover they wanted to put Germán Valdez "Tin Tán" but he requested to put something of more tradition of his home country México so they put a Tree of Life statue on the cover. The tree was from Metepec, Tin Tan send it to them. Another alternate album cover could be the German Magical Mystery Tour album which some vinyl collector say has a lot of fidelity and very good quality.

Interesting aspect of the butcher cover is that, as mentioned, it was used in the UK to promote Paperback Writer and no one was offended. The same year John's quote about The Beatles being "more popular than Jesus" was published in the UK and again, no one was offended. Meanwhile on the other side of the Atlantic, the future was brewing...

It's alleged that the drum on the cover is the one from the movie Help!

Y & T was supposed to be a triptych, with other photos on it.

Very interesting video! I was never a fan of the cover of the White Album, so for me any of those alternative pics would have been better!

You missed out that the original album.cover idea was a brown paper sheet with string. I think it was Paul who came up with the idea.

Beatles for Sale has a different cover in Australia and new Zealand.

Information is wrong. Actually the version of the album, Y&T, with a pasted cover is worth a lot because everyone has peeled them. The peeled one is worthless.

I think the Revolver cover would have been better without the photos. The drawings are great but the photos aren’t very good and make the cover look messy and thrown together.

8:10 you made a mistake, those albums use similar covers, but have an entirely different track listing.
