Let's think about this... It's somewhat hollow and rings like a bell, it has a unique perfectly synchronized rotation so we ALWAYS see the same exact side of the moon from earth, it's the largest moon compared to it's related planet in our solar system by a good margin, and it just so happens to be the same exact size as the sun from our vantage point during a solar eclipse??? Ancient cultures speak of the time before the moon and what they describe is exactly what Earth would be like without a moon. A misty/foggy environment and cloudy sky, no seasons, etc. And at least one culture describes seeing the moon appear and said it was built and is hollow. Heck, for all we know the real cause of the Younger Dryas cataclysm wasn't meteor impacts but was instead the moon's presence. That, too, would probably cause a similar catastrophic event globally.

I think the moon is an ancient spaceship , deliberately docked in a holding orbit, so that the travellers in it could transfer to the earth in relative ease , can you think of a better design for a space ship ? its surface damage predates its time in orbit round the earth - have never heard of a major impact on its surface being observed - its all ancient deep space

while I don't have any explanation of why the moon "rings like a bell" if the moon is indeed hollow then how in the universe did it form? A hollow moon would completely redefine how certain objects that are solid actually formed. and if it is hollow I doubt the universe made it that way, but if ET's made the moon hollow then why would ET's make the moon hollow? and if they just wanted a base their it would be a whole lot easier making an underground tunnel system than hollowing out an entire body.

Plate movement and slow cooling has allowed Earth's crust to settle the moon's was frozen in full expansion.
