I would love to see this done where everyone starts with the exact same car. That way nobody is ridiculously OP and theoretically the best tactician will win.... save of course for the people deliberately trying to wreck themselves in race 4 for a better starting position 😂
I think the yute option is a mod so might not be fully compatible with the box... but I've also seen huge boxes in places they don't belong on default vehicles so who knows
This upgrade challenge is my favourite format. It's so interesting seeing how everyone decides to spend their upgrades, and even more so the inevitable unintended consequences.
not sure how viable this would be, but it would be kinda funny to do horribly overpowered vehicles with no handling or brake or other upgrades and then have to selectively both upgrade and downgrade to get them drivable.
Love this, lots of fun to see how everyone approached it. The one thing I've noticed is the competitive cars tend to be tires + tires, and 2 upgrades. Which makes a lot of sense, but really doesn't leave much room for interesting strategies since there's really only 2 upgrades to pick from knowing tires need to be sorted out. Making front and back tires one upgrade would make it an even more obvious pick, but allow a little more room for upgrade creativity. around them. Or, just setting the entire field to a one tire type for the entire race could work too, as everyone would have to be mindful of how much grip they have when picking upgrades.
For this series the upgrades should be done as if you were doing them in real life, all 4 tyres, all 4 brakes, turbo kit etc. Less silly but more competitive
Yeah I second them as a group As you said full sets of thiings but I would say regular tyres ( treaded in some way) and slicks be separate and idk like block , aspiration , intake/exhaust/ fuel management and like gearbox as groups. That would be my personal suggestion
Maybe even set everyone to sport or slick tires and not allow changes because the anticipation of a big turbo or oversized engine upgrade being met with "I got slicks" is a bit underwhelming
I really love these challenges/ tournaments and would love to see more of them! Just one thing I'd like to see in the future: Tell us, how the points are given out in the races. How many points does first place get, second place etc?
Seems like a super easy win when you pick a modern car and just add power to it with tires.... should probably limit the list of cars to be more equal or use the same car altogether... older boats need far more upgrades to begin with to even be on par with a modern stock car
Adding weight on the car to match the power weight ratio isn't the best solution imo because it takes it's toll on the drivetrain, suspension, brakes, tires
If i was in this race, i would totally just have trouble controlling my car at specific times to have a totally accidental bump against the car ahead of me :) No penalties after all
You should do a 11 race matchup where the bottom 3 get 2 upgrades, the next 3 get 1 upgrade and the rest get none, so you can go for points, or upgrades, but not really both. I think that would be interesting.
Normally I would agree, but this time they seemed to be playing dirty to me. Beeping and flashing lights to distract people is not the usual on this channel, also massive dive for one corner and then brakes early for the following one throwing everyone off...
You should do this but in a tournament format with more races across different circuits upgrading the same car throughout the tournament. We could see some pretty interesting race cars by the end and it would promote thinking long term a lot more. Still a very interesting format.
i love these video's!! it's my dream to own beam ng 😂 so my upgrade strategy... handling first! suspension first then tires... then gearbox and engine or engine then gearbox!
So what time u do is get a fwd: upgrade the front brakes, then you do the engine, then the front tires, add a rear wing, and finally (if you have a lap left) you sneak the weight reduction kit mod in and remove 75% weight.
Beam: we can do awesome physics simulations on cars to make it as as realistic as possible and yet even though you have a ute with a flatbed we're going to force you to put your load on the roof
Now, I'm sure there's a reason but I have to ask...why is the box not in the bed and instead on the roof? You've got a ute...that's...kind of what it's for?
@@smashtoad to be fair everyone makes mistakes, including Alex. I don't think russkiy ment to dive up the inside I think that was due to brake fade, as demonstrated by the next corner
@@X340n I get what you're saying. I've watched a lot of failrace, and Alex always tries to drive politely (within reason). When it comes to unrealistic corner dives, he gets a LOT more than he gives. But you're probably right about Russky...the guys are all pretty chill...and these cars were real limited. Racing can get emotional quick, regardless of who you are.
i had stored away my steering wheel for years and only took it out yesterday and cleaned it updated the software for PXN V3 Pro, and tried it out on BNG drive works great but my driving skills are shocking, i will have to get used to it slowly specially on corners and curves, it really isnt like driving in real life, which is much simpler🥵.
Lmfao. Race 1: Small bump on Cgoyal from slight late brake, no impact to standings; small bump on Longbow who turned wrong way in front. Possible contact with Speedbeast on final lap, no impact to standings. Spun out by Speedbeast on final corner. Loss of multiple positions. Race 2: Clean race Race 3: Bump against Cgoya during different turn lines, no impact to standings. Race 4: Bumped into the back of a suddenly stopped Speedbeat (blown engine? debris? couldn't get out of the way), otherwise clean Race 5: Self-crash into wall; spun by Russkiy sending into no open gap. Loss of time, no loss of positions. So three extremely small bumps that didn't affect anything, and he gets spun out twice, but you're thinking he's the aggressor? Dude.

And Alex acting like Kyle Busch at the end of race one, because he didn't win. Yes, he got tagged from behind, but it's a race! And such a nice way to talk about/to fellow racers. Wow. You definitely deserve the Kyle Busch crybaby award, Alex!
Still playing with Russky? How does Any, as a trans woman, feel about that? In Russia, she would get 30 years just for being gay. Good to know you have standards. Also, Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦
