FWIW they've always been pretty popular in Omaha... Saw them once at the Ranch Bowl... show was awesome, but the venue was sh*tty and the sound mix was terrible. A shame, because the band was rocking hard.
@@Robin_Starsfall I must have watched them 6 or 7 times in Omaha in the 90s. I walked out of the Ranch Bowl so many times soaked to the bone in sweat after Urge shows and nearly deaf from this song, specifically. The sound mix was sh*t, but they got every watt out of the amps at that place, I'm sure of it :D
My brother started listening to the urge a couple months ago. Recently he got to see them in concert with one of his friends and it's all he listens to now. I finally gave in and turns out they're pretty good.
+Joe Drummer In 1997 I was in Holland, at an Applebee's (I know, go figure) Anyways, the guy I was with was an expat from St Louis with an Urge sticker on his car. This other American dude walks up to us and asks if that's his car. Yep, ran into an Urge fan in Holland.
I've known mah boys The Urge since the 90s. I remember when I got a Playstation demo disk and this video was on it. I was like "DAMN, my boys gettin BIG!"
I KNEW I wasn't trippin. I watched this on a PSone when I was a kid. One of those Playstation underground cds or something. Lol I was singing it like did this song really exist?
I can’t imagine if they had a line up of just them, no doubt, original sublime band, 311. Mannnn. But yes the energy is craaaaaaazy and makes everybody at least bob their heads or move side to side. You just can’t help it.
I was hanging with NIL8 back when NIL8 and The Urge did some shows together back in the mid 90s. Hanging with all of them backstage in Rockford, Champaign, and a few other stops... good times, good times.
Saw The Urge in Columbia, SC sometime in 96 or 97. They played a bar called The Elbow Room. The stage was so small the whole band hardly fit, but they rocked the shit out of the room. The energy coming from that tiny stage was awesome. I've seen countless shows in my time and that is one I'll never forget. Glad to hear they are back together.
Saw them in 1996 at a small bar in Hammond, LA. A couple of friends recommended them a few months before that and then they show up to play...it was and still is one of my favorite nights. They were on tour with Korn and stopped in between shows in TX and Florida.
I don't know if people remember how big these guys were in STL in the 90s. They were everywhere. I saw them probably 5 times, Pointfest, and point Christmas shows at Mississippi Nights. Not to mention the Urge/Point hockey games.
2024. Found it on spotify and my mom and dad used to VIBE to the urge, once I was their age (22) I learned how mf dope the urge was..... still a banger so PTMFUS
Love these guys. Saw them at Mississippi Nights in St Louis back in like 97 maybe 98. They rocked. Last I heard Steve was still doin music in St Louis area.
Saw the original line up at the hanger9 to many times to count, place was packed with people partying so hard humidity was dripping off the ceiling.. For real. Love all their albums!
First time hearing this song tonight. After 10 seconds, I knew I'd like it. After two minutes, I was yelling the lyrics. I've heard it three times now and I'm wondering if it's one of my all-time favorite songs.
Steve Ewing & The Urge Are One Of My Favorite Rock & Roll Bands Ever (& Better Than A Lot Of Others In My Opinion) + His Hot Dogs Are The Absolute Best👍👍
I saw The Urge at Pointfest the other night...On the way home, I looked at my boyfriend and said, "I see why you were so excited about them being there!" THEY ROCK MY FACE OFF!!!
Heh, the first time I saw this video was when my buddies and I discovered it as an Easter Egg on a Playstation Underground disc WAAAAAAAAY back in the day. Thus began my love for The Urge. I'm just glad I was lucky enough to catch them live the 2 times I did out here in Riverside @ the UCR Barn.
Wow I miss this band, I was doing that "30 days of songs" thing on fb and day three is "song that makes you happy" I immediately thought of this song because it absolute makes me giddy and has since the first day I heard it. It's hard to be in a bad mood and listen to this.
Take a look don't you know i don't care about you Not a one thing you won't do To get attention from the ones who ignore Now don't cast all your friends away There's only one thing i can say Hey man you're sick and rotten to the core Hey you're all washed up Would you please shut up Take a walk that way Hey you're all washed up Would you please shut up Take a walk that way Take a look pay attention to the words i say So little time for you to get away Run to the door in a panicked fury of fear No hope cause you'll never get the message anyway Thry let you in so your gonna stay But beware of my boot and a bottle of beer Hey you're all washed up Would you please shut up Take a walk that way Mr. mr. you make me sick I ain't gonna fall for that same old trick Won't you turn around and take a trip back To the other side of town you drip buttercup Buttercup you're all washed up Get out of my face and shut the fuck up No business cards or that fake ass stuff Bouncer's on your ass so you better hurry up Take a look don't you know i don't care about you Not a one thing you won't do To get attention from the ones who ignore Now don't cast all your friends away There's only one thing i can say Hey man you're sick and rotten to the core Hey you're all washed up Would you please shut up Take a walk that way Hey you're all washed up Would you please shut up Take a walk that way Take a walk that way Take a walk that way Take a walk Take a walk Take a walk
