I think it would be cool to have a map like this but have tin copper and the other metals show up and have very small patches of the other biomes so you can have access to everything to make everything.
Challengewise, I'd just be happy with a crappy antler pickaxe and a pre-constructed minimalist main base rather than glitch-spamming, which just seems kinda boring
Reading the limitations you listed at the beginning makes me really wish Valheim biomes would be updated to at least provide the bare necessity materials to survive like leather scraps and flint. Once I got stranded on an island of purely Black Forest and frustratingly couldn't build a boat home because of the lack of wild boars. My point is it would be cool if every biome could be more survivable if you wished to start in one particularly.
Wow I know many exploits but you had some in this video I've never seen or heard about before. Excellent content. Fun story: there is a mod that lets you place basement ladders that is like a year old. You can essentially place a mini dungeon anywhere. We used to have prank wars on a multiplayer server and places those ladders, then clip out of the basement with chairs and fall at great speed into our enemy's home. You would be like a railgun and just fall through all the ceilings as there is no terminal velocity.
One would think... maybe the mod somehow makes them not exist? Or, maybe, he just didn't think about that because he was too fixated in how he'd glitch his way to victory?
If you did this challenge now, food may not be quite as much of a problem. Fish beach themselves a lot more commonly than they used to due to jumping. You may be able to get cooked fish in swamp only now.
I wonder, for a challenge run using the custom terrain generator mod changing the following. Meadows = mountain Black Forrest = mountain Swamp = black Forrest Mountain = Meadows Plains = Swamp Deep north = Plains Issue I see is getting a Meadows to spawn close enough to spawn to spawn the first boss Spawning in and using the stone to check because one might just not spawn
@14:57 lol i had to do this to get back to my boat after a server desync i could still see it so it wasn't super far away but it was still quite a few log cycles before i got back to it
Yea... it'd be interesting to see a version of this with a single minimalist base by spawn with a single key so one can actually build up to something, instead of just showcasing glitching into stuff. As is, this video is honestly 3 times too long.
Those structures sometimes have a piece of furniture that can be harvested for a single piece of finewood, but getting the corewood from the poles to make sitting logs is so much easier
How about using this biome swapper for the VALHEIM INVERTED CHALLENGE It's basically a challenge where every biome is swapped with the one on the opposite side of the prpgression scale. So basically, each biome will be given a number based on how far it is in progression. So for example, mistlands would be 6, swamp would be 3 and meadows would be 1. So basically, this is what every biome would be replaced by: Meadows - Mistlands Black Forest - Plains Swamp - Mountain Mountain - Swamp Plains - Black Forest Mistlands - Meadows It may look impossible, since you will be stuck on a mistlands, plains, mountain and the occasional swamp island. In order to get to the outer edge where the mistlands (now meadows) spawn so that you can get some stuff and beat eikthyr, you need a raft. To make it, you need wood, resin, leather. Wood can be acquired by punching the small trees. Resin can be acquired by punching the trees as well. But leather will be harder to get. Since there are no meadows at spawn, no boars can be found. But, there is ONE way to get it in plains too. There are a few tanning racks in Fuling Camps, which you can destroy for leather. Soooo, yeah, you have to raid a fuling camp with stone age gear AND survive the mistlands that you spawn in. This challenge won't be easy... Edit: if you go near the end of the spawn island in a normal world, you may stumble upon a swamp. In this world, that will be a mountain, so if you find a frost cave there, you can kill the bats for leather too.

On the editing side: Do not bait the obvious. 'Oh no theres an issue here but we'll talk about it later' Its pretty obvious that the items get left behind, not some miraculous secret to hold for later.
it may be possible in every biome, meadows is uh, the first so of course it is, black forest have everything you need to kill elder, and even buid decent stuff, mountains might be tricky, with cold, lack of food and resources, but not the boss, glitches can make this fight doable, plains is totally possible, the fulling camps gives tons of basic resources, and mistlands, well maybe if you bait a seeker soldier into the yggdrasils and structures, you can get enough stuff to survive, I can't imagine the pain of grinding from nothing to the queen at this point
nice video just remember that this type of challenge are called "nothing "chalanges. so if you have only swamp it would be Swamp nothing. its a joke on the name it self. and you will see this challenge in many games like Terraria custom map "No Traps"(has lots of traps). Or age of empires "Nothing Maps" like "Forest Nothing" that is only forest =).
why people say the swamp is the worst biome in game? Mistlands are tragic to explore everywhere is fog whater and mountains the mosr polular mobs are big worms XD
@@NickRawcliffe I would very much appreciate that. I realised that his mod would allow individual map files which were completely dedicated to each biome. The potential resource production could be enormous.
