The way Paul acted for Ripahh Stefan (humanity off in this case) is just WOW. Even the way he walks is different and there is something sinister in Ripahh's Eyes, which is commendable and how can he manage to do that so gracefully... I think I just can't process that 😂😈😈
Love the flashbacks this episode, great way to show who Stefan was and a brilliant introduction to Rebekah. Intresting to see how close Klaus and Stefan were. Poor Caroline, love to see Liz and Tyler save her. Great reveal that Klaus and Rebekah are running from someone and that Elena's necklace is the key to what he needs.
Liz stopping Caroline’s Dad and saying that that’s their daughter was such a good scene bc we’re seeing growth from Liz as a mom and she’s now being there for Caroline even though she’s a vampire. First time around she didn’t even want to look at Caroline and now she’s seeing that Caroline is still her daughter 🥺 Damon distracting Klaus so that Elena and Stefan could talk was sweet. It could’ve ended really badly for him but he still risked his well-being so that they could have a moment. “I don’t want to see you, I don’t want to be with you” poor Elena. I feel so bad for her bc she cares about him and has spent so much time tracking him and trying to get to him. Her face when Stefan grabs her wrist and when he says they’re over is so sad. I just want her to be happy ☹️ We finally got to Rebekah’s introduction! I’m in tears over you guys calling that man who showed up looking for Rebekah and Klaus “Eric” 😂
And you know why Klaus want Stefan because he is much more dangerous than a normal vamp when on Ripahh mode and when they meet first he was not afraid of Klaus and nor he wanted something from Klaus, he was just having fun 😂😂 and most of Vamp community is afraid of Klaus or want something from him as Elijah told Elena. So Klaus and Stefan instantly connect because both are different from "normal vampires", that's why he don't want Damon lol (no offence to DS) 😂😂 and I agree with Klaus having Stefan around cause he is much more fun when he is RIPAHHH
Rebekahhh.. another TVD queen! Yeah, obviously Stefan still does care about people, but I like that he dropped some truth bombs on Elena in this episode. I love Elena, but she’s very naive in thinking that she’s seen Stefan’s darkest side and in thinking that she can bring him back from this like Lexi did. What a beautiful gesture Damon made to give Stefan and Elena a chance to talk while he kept Klaus busy at the risk of his own life. Poor Caroline, absolutely adore her and it was so good seeing Liz and Tyler save her
I don’t think that’s it because he had no plans to undagger her at the time. I think it’s just because he remembered how good a friend Stefan was and wanted to go back to being bros
@@hali_55 I think she was saying that she used to think that was the reason, but these flashbacks from the 1920s of Klaus and Stefan make it clear that it wasn't the case.
This episode should be called 'Rebekah.' She's another one of my favorite characters. Just her dynamic with each character is so fun to watch. And also because this actress (Claire Holt) is from one of my childhood shows, H20.
@@adalia1959 Ian and Nina were in relation so their chemistry was reflecting on screen too (yeah they were good too) but Paul and Nina are like siblings (Paul said she is like his sister and he feels gross kissing her and filming making out scenes with her on screen) and still they manage to maintain SMOKING HOT chemistry lol I think that is something difficult to do 😂😂
@@adalia1959 their chemistry was great in the first few seasons but it went away once they broke up in real life, but I always felt Paul and Nina had better chemistry, her eyes shined when she looked at Paul which didn't happen with Ian, she always melted into Stefan's arms and her face always radiated comfort when she was with him(just my opinion though)
@@adalia1959 Yes Nian have chemestry but in my personal opinion more as Damon and Katherine also Stefan and Katherine have more chemestry then Stefan and Elena and I don't know why and it's a little weird because it was played by same actress. But I will always choose Stelena over Delena because Delena has 0 sense to me and it was definitely fan service. Also the fact that Nina and Ian were in love and Paul didn't wanted play always only good guy the writers were going in to this Delena and Ripper storyline
You hit the nail on the head connecting conversion therapy to what Bill was doing to Caroline. It's even worse when you remember that Bill is literally gay.
I really felt bad for Elena but in this case Stefan did not really had a choice, he had to say that because other wise Klaus would rip her head off if he would find out she survived 🫠
I feel like as much as Elena can be annoying at times, I have to give credit to her for not giving up on Stefan until it was absolutely necessary. Elena really tried to help as much as she could. And I was so happy seeing the whole Liz and Caroline dynamic. That was so sweet. And I agree, Im happy that Tyler finally freaking stepped up and started looking out for Caroline for once.

stefan's humanity was actually off in the 20s..which is why he was a sadist...ripper stefan with his humanity on cant control his bloodlust and keeps on feeding to the point he rips heads off but he would never make a man drink his wife's blood 20s stefan(humanity off) was enjoying torturing people but present day stefan is clearly miserable and tormented this season cemented the love i had for stelena
Everybody kept asking where Katherine was for those 145 years after Stefan turned. Now you know. She was always following Stefan, watching over him and he was hardly coming home back then. What's more interesting, is that Klaus knew she was following Stefan from the previous episode, yet never acted on it.
Klaus didn't know Katherine was tracking Stefan. And I don't think Katherine was in Chicago following Stefan. She was following Klaus. Klaus had no clue but Katherine always kept tabs on where he was at all times.

Klaus tells Stefan in the warehouse that he knew Katherine was on vervain, after Stefan tells Klaus that Katherine won't come back after running out of apt with vile of Klaus blood. Then Klaus says she won.t go far thanks to Stefan. SPOILER ............. When Katherine was fighting Stefan and Damon in episode 'Masquerade' she tells Stefan she was always following Stefan, checking in on him. So Klaus knew she was on vervain and let her go anyway, knowing she wouldn't go far from Stefan. Besides. plenty of people knew Katherine wanted Stefan back, someone could've easily told Klaus that she was obsessed with Stefan as well. ( S ) And it's funny how Katherine was there to save Stefan from Gloria, so she was definitely watching Stefan
@@mcleodmikemcleod9798 That't not true. Klaus didn't know that. He just means that Stefan is a Ripper and work for him now (also helping him finding Katherine). That's why she wouldn't went far/survive for a long time. If Klaus would know the connection between them, Katherine would be dead long time ago. She faked her death and everyone thought that she was dead when the church was burning. Klaus had no idea that she wasn't in that church.

I double checked with the subtitles on and no one in the police force was called Eric, so I'm not sure where you got that from. === I know it doesn't seem like it, but Bill does love Caroline. He was trying to make her associate her hunger for blood with pain to teach her to control it - without realizing that she ALREADY controls it just fine. His actions are just as stupid as parents who send their LGBTQ kids to "conversion therapy" where they try to make gay kids associate sex with violent nausea and pain. === Liz coming to Caroline's rescue and bringing Tyler with her was epic character growth from last season, and her giving her daughter a blood bag so she could heal reminded me of my mom giving me chicken soup when I was sick. I'm glad you guys are starting to see how awesome Liz is! She loves her daughter so much that she tossed aside all the BS she was taught by her parents and found out from Caroline what a good vampire could be. Now she has to balance protecting her daughter with being Sheriff and a member of the council. === Stefan is in a trickier situation than he was before because he knows even more about Klaus AND he has Rebekah around believing she's in love with him AND he can't let them know Elena is alive and has the necklace they need. Sucks to be him. === I wonder what will happen with Damon and Elena now? Stefan broke up with her and she's still attracted to Damon... BUT she's so stubborn that she'll probably try harder to get Stefan free from Klaus because now she'll feel responsible that Stefan is trying to keep Klaus from knowing she's alive; when she should just start exploring how she feels about Damon. Goody goody people can be sooooo boring! === Rebekah is interesting on this show, but she's much better later on during The Originals, so keep that in mind when deciding if you're going to watch it - and Klaus is magnificent on that show!
Damon is fully aware of what Stefan gave up for his life and yet acts so flirty and forwards with Elena, lying in he bed and shit. Then proceeds to be like "yeah Stefan did this, this and this" like how do people prefer him to Stefan, such a prick move
At some point, yeah, Elena you are a late teens girl without any discernable power: (expect maybe extreme loyalty so maybe she secretly has Geass or something) what does she hope to accomplish against Klaus?

Actually what you said isn't exactly accurate, but even tho that I know the boys are ahead on Patreon I still don't what to go into spoilers... I would just said that there are a couple of caveats to what you said.
You know what I edited my reply cause If i wanna dive deep into this discussion, ACTUAL spoilers might come up. But yeah, if the original family is ranked in terms of strength/powers, it's variable and depends on situations.

But my comment was focus specifically on the part of yours that said "he was running from fear, because while not stronger, a more disgusting (yes more disgusting than Klaus) being chases him."... That's not entirely accurate, the strength part I mean, remember that in the flash backs we see this episodes (which is what you are basing that comment on) Klaus it's not a hybrid, therefor not as strong as he is now, and being a hybrid is what levels the playing field with that certain someone... So HE IS being chased by someone that scares him like you said, but he actually does fear his strength. And yeah, the comparison among the Original's characters can become a bit tricky (Although like you said it would inevitably go into spoilers), because if we rank them just based on 'strength' or their 'physical enhancements' if you will, it would be a fairly clear cut list; but then you have to factor in things like who is a better fighter, more skilled, experience, who is more tactical and even who it more cruel or vicious fighting, etc... And that can make the list shift quite a bit.

The title means the end of Stephen, Rebecca and Klaus friendship affair. In the closet that was blood and alcohol.... So Gloria is not the first witch that likes Damon remember the other one that was in Georgia bartending played by Gina Torres who kind of set him up because he kill Lexi.... And I don't know why you guys surprised that Stepfan was evil/despicable. Remember the other flashback in the 1864 when he first turned into a vampire and was the Ripper then even forcefully turn his brother into a vampire.
