That look between Klaus and Stefan was so heartbreaking, you could see the pain in Klaus’ eyes from being betrayed by his best friend, even Stefan looked somewhat sad about what he did

Great episode. The house fight is fun. Caroline getting tortured alll the bloody time, she deserves better.

Elena saved Caroline and then she saved both brothers by threatening Alaric since their lives are linked despite her just being a human 🥺

Klaus was put into a same kind of "sleep" as mikael was before they woke him, so yeah he's not technically dead. And alaric can't get into the house, he is a vampire now so he has to be invited in by a living person also living in the house so either jeremy or elena.

When Ric drags Caroline back to the school still makes me laugh so hard 😂 Like i know that he will torture her (btw why it had to be Caroline again? It's unfair how often she gest tortured...), but it's so badass and I can't help but cry laughing.

The white oak stake was in his heart. He just is a stronger vampire and cant be killed by any stake. That's why they were so stunned when they both stabbed him and nothing happened.

I’m not sure if it mentioned it here or something but Alaric is as strong or as fast as an Original vampire. In this case, Alaric would have to be invited in Elena’s house. It’s just like with Logan Fell (Weasel Neck) when he turned into a vampire after previously being in his house, he needed invited in. Alaric also can only die if Elena is killed. So, nothing actually happens to Elena if something happened to Alaric. Only if she dies, he dies.

I hated this episode so much when I first watch it because it doesn’t make sense to me how an Original Hybrid got taken down by 2 young vampires and a hybrid it should take a lot more to take down Klaus, Or even an any other originals it’s like the writers made them weak.

It didnt work both ways... the only loophole was that elena has to die for rick to die. Other than that there was no way for rick to die. So that was the whole thing about putting him down like they did klaus so elena could live normally. The reason they need to keep elena safe is because the originals will try to kill her to stop alaric.

We never had battle of gettysburgh in school here (surprise surprise... different country), the most talked thing in history was world war II. by far.

For Damon - it's easily Stefan, Elena, Alaric, Liz and BonBon. The order changes over seasons and some new names get added but that's his top tier BFFs. And I love to hate Klaus, Joseph Morgan with his subtle microexpressions convey so much!

-This was one of the few episodes if not the only episode where I enjoyed and liked Ric. - After all that Rebecca has been through trying to be moral to these people I understand her fleeing from school and leaving Caroline. Thus Ric was strong and had a white oak stake, so I pick survival over loyalty every time. - And then Klaus! He had one job! One job! Burning that house down would have been less than a minute. He truly disappointed me. -I already hate Tyler, so him acting all heroic saving Elena and ganging up on Klaus did not help the situation. - If I was a vampire, 60 years is a too little of a time for me to emotionally heal. Especially a heartbreak caused by my brother.
