The Vampire Diaries "LET HER GO" (S6E15 REACTION!!!) 

I love that the first thing Bonnie did when she got out of the prison world was go to Damon’s house and make pancakes for him. Like the fact that she went to see him first is adorable! Also that hug between them is iconic.

The way Elena was there for Caroline all day/helped her and then was the one to notice that something was off so she went to her place. Also, Elena holding Caroline’s hand at the service when they were sitting. It’s the small things, such good carolena moments 🥺😭

Most of Stefan's old relationships were very much love at first sight I think as opposed to best friends to lovers. That's probably why his feelings for Caroline are so confusing for him. I'm happy that he figured it out in the end though

I love the conversation between Caroline and Damon. It shows how unique their relationship is. They can say those things without offending each other.

Ok this episode is one of my favorites of the season! 🥰 between Bon Bon's return, the announcement of Jo's pregnancy and the marriage proposal, the very sad funeral with Damon's wonderful eulogy

Them all sleeping around Caroline in the beginning, Caroline's singing, Damon's eulogy, Stefan realizing Caroline might be the one, the flashbacks to young Stefan and Damon, Elena being there for Caroline throughout the day, Bon Bon returns, THE PROPOSAL, 92%, THE BAMON HUG!!! This episode was full of wholesomeness.

Every time I watch this episode it’s physically impossible for me not to rewatch Bonnie jumping into Damon’s arms at least 5 times

I hate how much shit Bonnie went through but I love how she's a badass who saves herself

Bamon-hug was actually improvised, I love it. Yes, Caroline had pretty good points especially about her and Elena's differences about vampirism. Caroline was born to be a vampire and became a better person as one. Elena never wanted to be one and doubted at times that it had changed her for the worse. I don't like how many people accused Elena of "being selfish/making this all about her again" when this episode aired, when she is only worried for her friend, and spoke from her experience as a warning. She is right: no matter how much control over him/herself the vampire has, turning it off always ends with regret and self-loathing and people getting hurt one way or another. I understand that everyone has their breaking point and that losing both of her parents was awful and she needed a break. But I don't like the way they made it seem like Stefan not wanting to discuss about their relationship and their feelings on the day of her mother's funeral was the bigger/last reason to turn her emotions off (especially when he particularly said that they could talk about it a little later). They could've been there for each other, help each other face the grief and form even stronger bond because of that. Anyway, I love this episode and it was a beautiful goodbye to our beloved Sheriff Forbes. Thank you for this reaction.

OMG CANDICE SINGING SO AMAZING BUT MAKE ME CRY EVERYTIME

Stefan didn't say anything wrong. That was really not the time and place to discuss what happened between them. But I guess Caroline's emotions were too fragile at the time, so she took it the wrong way.

I loved when Damon once he heard his brother sure of what he feels for Caroline sends him to go to her and not waste more time with him exactly when Stefan sends Damon once back from the parallel world to see Elena and clarify with her. ... Defan ❤

I felt so bad for Caroline this episode, you saw how hard she was trying to keep everything together it was so heartbreaking. Candice KILLED it. HOWEVER, I have to disagree with Caroline on her argument with Elena. First of all, it seems like every character (including Elena herself) forgets that she never chose to turn her humanity off it was Damon who had control over her, with the sirebond, who did it. The erasing her memories thing was all her but not the humanity part. Caroline said when she came out on the other side, she was happy. But both times (no humanity and memory erasing) Elena got the people she lost back. Jeremy and Damon both came back to life which is why Elena was able to be happy in the end. I completely understand the emotions Caroline was feeling, grief looks like a never ending tunnel, especially during the first few weeks but I just wish she had listened to Elena because in the end of the day it is still a cheat and the guilt you feel after turning your humanity back on is just gonna pile on the pain you're feeling. I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing as Caroline but I'm just giving my opinion on the situation/argument.

I love that everyone was sleeping over and being there for caroline through this Elena encouraging Damon when he was trying to write the eulogy and the way he had his hand on her leg to comfort her in the service. They both supported each other, love them so much. I get what Caroline was saying but she also saw the outcome each time one of them has tried to escape grief. Elena was trying to prevent her from making a mistake but I can’t blame Caroline for wanting to shut it off. The convo with Stefan about their relationship status really wasn’t the time or place but I guess to her that was just another bad thing to add to the way she was already feeling. Liz was such an important character to all of them and Candice sings so well, it makes the whole thing more emotional 😭

How beautiful are the Salvatore brothers in the flashback 🤗, Damon helping The little brother who tells him it's ok you are small you can cry and Stefan tells about the angel of the night who visited her and angel for Damon? 🙁

Season 6 is really getting amazing now, and that Bamon scene omg I love them

Imma say this once but you better keep the same energy that you had when Elena had her humanity off with Caroline Jeremy.

I don't think Damon's "pull the rip cord, just not today" advice to Stefan was necessarily wrong, based on the information Stefan had given him. To Damon, I just don't think he could conceive of a scenario where you love someone but don't know it or even need to ask someone else about it. He's basically just saying, if you're not sure what you feel for her, don't mess with her head, but don't do anything to hurt her today. Which is not bad advice... IMO, the problem isn't so much with the advice as it is with the things Stefan said and didn't say before asking for the advice.

I agree with Damon when he used his rationality to make Stefan understand what he really feels about Caroline whether he loves her or not so that he can step forward or let it go. I wished he was more instinctive in understanding if he loves her and not needing to think about whether he loves her or not.

This was arguably so difficult to watch. Like, I've rewatched this scene so many times but not since maybe last year so... the empty house really hit me hard. Also I just want to thank you for being so respectful when watching, especially these scenes, and in your comments you're always so emphatic, Jer. You have a lot of respect and empathy for your viewers, which is why you're my favorite. Bamon was such a highlight - that hug, the way she jumped at Damon, the happiness when you realize how they went from hating each other ("I will gladly let Bonnie die") to this! Also I agree, Caroline is incredibly level-headed and emotionally probably more intelligent than so many characters on the show - what growth!

When visiting a open casket it's a very unique feeling. You can yell at the top of your lungs and they can't hear you. You can grab them with all your might and they can't feel you. You can promise them the world and they won't respond and you can kiss them on the forehead with all of your love and it will never change the fact that they're gone. You bury your loved ones in the ground, because the feeling of being able to see them, interact with them and do everything you can to bring them back is too painful to bare. So its best to put them to rest, and put your mind and heart to rest by burying them where they will forever be missed, and you won't have to be burdened by seeing them everyday and not being able to do anything for them.

I am between Stefan and Caroline on the one hand I understand Stefan to opt to face their relationship after this day even if I also wanted him to be more instinctive in understanding if he loves her or not but I think that he did just leave it for later on the other side I also understand Caroline a little bit that she would have liked to hear what she has always expected from 1x1 because for her so fragile at this moment Stefan's declaration would have been a stimulus for something to stay strong and not collapse.

the little girl playing little caroline is mckenna grace, she's an incredible little actress! Watch her movie gifted, it's so sad and good. she's now 15 and on the handmaid's tales, I've been on her acting journey for years, and that's one of the best child actors i've seen.

I lost my mom to cancer shortly after watching TVD the first time and now anytime I watch it Caroline and specifically this part of her losing her mom I cry so hard because it’s so true. The following week or year all the aftermath is awful. I forever see her character in a different light now because now I just feel more connected to her. Even though it’s one of the hardest episodes for me to watch it’s one of my favorites

A comment about feeling the house empty. When my grandpa passed, I went to visit grandma. I said the usual greeting in spanish, which is "bendicion" (asking for blessing) to my grandma and she replied and then it hit me that my grandpa was not there to say it back to me. I speed walked to the end of the house to cry in silence. No one knew and I came out like nothing happened. To this day, I cry here and there for him. He's been gone for almost 10yrs and it still hurts so much. He was like my father. He raised me. That house still has meaning cuz my grandma lives there but it has an empty echo. I still picture him cutting the lawn, fixing the car, scratching his back against the cement wall lol, or just him sleeping.

I lost my dad at 17.. I actually didnt cry til the night of his funeral when i was alone in bed. Like it took that long for it to actually become real for me. And it took months for me to be able to be myself again

24:20 is so accurate. I walked into my grandmas house after she passed, my family was all there, but it was empty. I feel like you can’t know the feeling until you’ve lived it but I still get that feeling sometimes when I go to visit.

For me it wasnt a week it was 2 months, I just move to I different country a few months before and I was in denial for mouth until I returned to home and the day of the funeral when I saw him that's when it hit me, that the first time I cry. 🥺

The funniest thing about Damon's logic with the 'it doesn't feel like with Katherine and Elena, so it's not true love' to me is that these loves didn't work out for Stefan... so that it feels different could be a good sign... 😆

I agree that I also like Caroline who is mentally and emotionally strong, I agreed with her on what she said to Elena at the end (even if Elena did not turn off her humanity because she chose me 😏 ) has been lonely and strong for a long time this season however I wish she didn't turn off her humanity especially for Stefan because she didn't hear what she wanted from him.

Rewatching and spotted a continuity error. Elena's eyes are wide open when Caroline breaks her neck but her eyes are closed when Stefan comes in. I think her arms and legs are in a different position too.
