I was annoyed that they had the sirebond conversation as Delena was having a moment but nonetheless the whole episode had me like 🥺 bc of the looks, tension, and chemistry between Delena. Damon dancing with Elena next to the fireplace was so sweet, he’s always so ready to dance with her without her having to ask.

I love how after Damon learned of the sire bond he never touched Elena. Every time after that when they touched or kissed, it was always initiated by her. He was so scared to make her do something she couldn't say no to that he completely pulled away. That tells you everything you need to know about his character. Also, I'm here representing the crowd that isn't into the Originals and would prefer if you finished TVD first before diving into the other show(s). But I also know that I'm pretty much alone with that opinion.

Yes , you are right. Elena, these past seasons, is a girl dealing with survivor guilt after loosing her parents. We saw little bit of real Elena in S3 flashbacks. You will have to wait a little more to see her.😭

I really hated Stefan for doing this to Jeremy. Only because he wanted to "fix Elena" because he doesn't like her that way..

Damon never sexually abused Caroline even I at first thought this but watching the series and paying attention, since the subjugated have not had sex, everyone thinks that just because she said "you abused me" in 2x2 everyone has thought about sexual abuse but she has never referred to this also because the abuse can be physical, mental, psychological, verbal, etc. therefore not by sexual force. As it happens in the whole series she has never pronounced or accused him of sexual abuse, when she says so she was referring to the abuse of closing in a single word what she did to him. If he were a sexual victim of Damon, she would tell her friends, now to Stefan for having sexually abused her, in short, but also to him, given the hatred he has, on many occasions he could accuse him of this aspect if it had been sexual abuse. But even if he has not sexually abused her, it remains that the abused has done him so much harm and has every right to hate him or in any case not to be a Damon fan, but on the one hand it is also unnerving and exaggerated because now she is a vampire and knows very well when. likes to kill, feeling powerful loves being a vampire yes compared to Damon tries to control himself to be the good part of the vampire and let's say he is but he can very well understand Damon and his state at the beginning of the series. Caroline accepted gifts from Klaus while she was engaged to Tayler just because she happens to have no dress to wear, she's flirting with him etc. And can you tell Elena and him that he fell in love with Damon? I really like Caroline in the second season I loved her but her hypocrisy, insensitivity at times, and her obsession with gossiping and poking her nose into other people's lives makes him lose a lot of points. Caroline is Elena's friend and Stefan is in this situation she has to be neutral not only on Stefan's side by criticizing Elena. She once told Elena in season 3 that admitting her feelings is a human being now that she finally loves what she wants and feels where is Caroline supporting her friend? But Elena has never criticized the two friends, has she never told Bonnie and Caroline the reason for their choices, she never pokes her nose into their lives instead Elena has all criticized her for anything since the beginning of the series it is normal that this girl has she feels bad every time when she has to take her life in her hands and never manages to make decisions because she is never free to desire, to do because she is afraid not to hurt, to disappoint someone, Elena is so empathetic. Stefan yes I'm sorry but not too much because I consider that he needed this once he is not someone's choice, for once he felt that it means to love someone and not be reciprocated that love and how many times Damon has been criticized because every time he suffered rejections and disappointments he behaved badly or hurt someone and now it's dear Stefan to be in Damon's shoes and it seems to me that he is not taking it very well. We waited so long for Delena and they fooled us so many times that in this episode they could save that at the same time as Delena there was Caroline and Stefan commenting that Elena is enslaved to Damon. Since episode 1x2 Delena moments have been crazy, chemistry and the passion of these two is not in any TVD couple. They are full of desire, passion, love, sweetness but also dark, a lot of sexual intensity, more mature they have abandoned each other as if that were the last day of their life. Stelena yes ok beautiful but Delena is something unique different temperamentally with little things in common but complement each other, they are not perfect but interesting, complicated but intriguing, Elena enslaved or not, human or not, vampire or not since she saw Damon is it has been his and Damon since 1x19 has been Elena's, you can Stefan, Katherina, problems of various kinds, enslavement that they have put or will put in their path in the future is a negative or positive outline around them to make them stronger their love, they have to sweat this and a lot as well but it's worth it. It will be a hard blow again for Damon every time this man touches happiness something happens that his happiness is destroyed that's why Damon Salvatore has problems managing his emotions, a continuous negative emotions and disappointments does not give him him the balance and stability it desperately needs.

Elena is sired to Damon because his blood turned her into a vampire, so when she transitioned because she already had strong feelings for Damon as a human they were amplified along with the rest of her personality etc as a vampire! So even though her feelings for Damon are the same as they were before she also does everything that Damon wishes because the sire bond compels her to want to please Damon and make Damon happy and this is caused by the fact that she was already in love with him before she turned

The Originals is a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries so you have to watch it after season 4 in chronological order that's like watching all seven seasons of Buffy then watching all five seasons of Angel and not knowing what's going on because you skipped out on crossovers and stuff like that because you didn't watch the shows while they were conjoined together

Just think of the sire bond we already know, Tyler to Klaus. Think about how it works for them and that should give you a parallel to Elena's to Damon.

An episode full of complicated situations... Like you said Caroline's attitude seems to have many reasons behind it, but I think that people seem to brush over the fact that Caroline spend an entire season being abused by Damon and like you said even the show brushed it off like it was nothing... I think her main motivations are that she is obviously (and rightfully) against Damon and like she said it herself in the show, as Elena's best friend she sees it as her duty to warn Elena when she thinks she is making a mistake, thats pretty on brand for her character she has always said what she thinks LOL; another big part is also Caroline's relationship with Stefan, that's her other best friend and she obviously views Stefan as a better person for Elena. Idk how much her situation with Klaus plays into this, I think you put it well; Caroline is by no means in love or even likes Klaus but she is attracted to some of the interesting aspects of his darkness, specifically to that idea that: you have this person who is so bad, probably evil, has done all this horrible things to me and my loved ones but still has it inside him to have feelings for me... That's how I see their "connection", Caroline is taken by surprise by this situation of an all powerful bad guy who is so interested in her and that creates some weird feelings on her.

She probably feels greatful towards Damon for saving her life after the whole connor thing probably just didn't really notice she was sired. I mean that's the moment I knew but she could have been greatful for living and not actually dying in the car the same way her parents died

I completely get what you're saying! I felt the same about this scene. Firstly obviously the sire bond bs made it impossible to enjoy it, and then I felt bad for Stefan cuz like they had only been broken up for like a week or something at that point, which i get it's not his business who she sleeps with but just because it's Damon's brother, i would have enjoyed it if they more slowly dived into their relationship.

Really liked the reaction! Having seen a few reactions to this episode, I just wanted to leave my thoughts below. I am sure that some people will disagree, and that is fine. It's a TV show; people will react differently, and I'm not trying to cause any issues. I really just think that there are some interesting things to talk about with this episode. (Note: this will be spoiler free of any information from future episodes, only talking about 1x01 through 4x07) First topic is about Caroline's actions in the episode. I totally get that she can come across as a bit whiny and annoying here. But at this point in the show, I can't think of many positive interactions that she has had with Damon. In Season 1, they were in a "relationship", and he treated her pretty horribly. I know that a lot of people talk about the issues of her consent since she was under his compulsion, but I won't even go into that. In 1x08, Damon says to her "You are the only stupid thing here. And shallow. And useless". If I, or I think most people, had seen or experienced that, we would clearly see that man/partner as abusive, and encourage that person (in this case Caroline) to end that relationship immediately. At the beginning of Season 2, Damon tried to kill her after she had turned, and was only stopped by Elena. You noted how they were a little more friendly later on and how people can change, but in my opinion, it would take a whole lot to make up for all of that. Now, in 4x07, Elena is clearly intent on entering a relationship with a guy who has been abusive to Caroline when they were "together" and even tried to kill her. Should Caroline have voiced her concerns privately? Totally. But I think that most people would hope that their best friends would speak their mind in a situation like that. Elena has seen a different side of Damon, but Caroline hasn't, or at least hasn't seen much of it. Now about Stefan in this episode. He is clearly wrong to try and have Jeremy kill people just to further the mark. Definitely wrong. The one thing I will say is that Elena had made it clear throughout their time together that she did NOT want to be a vampire. Stefan sees a glimmer of hope to give the girl that he loves the future that she has made clear she has wanted. Still wrong, but not without some semblance of logic. You mentioned how you are more on the side of Defan than Delena or Stelena. I totally agree with that! I think we all like to see the brothers on good terms and working together. My issue is that at this point in the show, in my view, Stefan has been a pretty great brother to Damon, while Damon has been a pretty terrible brother to Stefan. Stefan ran into fire at the end of Season 1 to get his brother out. He sacrifices himself to Klaus' control so that Damon can be cured of a werewolf bite at the end of Season 2. He stops Mikael from killing Klaus in 3x09, again so that Klaus' hybrids don't kill Damon. I'm not saying it has all been perfect, but Stefan has constantly been putting Damon ahead of himself. As for Damon, he killed Stefan's best friend Lexi. He has been constantly flirting with Stefan's girlfriend, even doing things with Elena that he knew Stefan would be uncomfortable with, like the blood sharing. And just a couple of episodes ago, Damon put his hand through Stefan's chest and threatened to kill him if he didn't tell him what he and Klaus were up to. I'm not saying that it has been 100% one-sided, but it just hasn't felt like a true brotherly relationship at this point; to me, one brother is constantly giving himself, and the other brother is constantly taking from others. Now we get to the Delena of it all. I actually think it was right for the writers to move from Stelena to Delena. We have seen 3+ seasons of Stefan and Elena, ups and downs, all while Damon was clearly an ever-growing influence on Elena. So eventually, Delena was going to happen. My issue is completely with the timing. You (Elena) gotta wait at least a little while before getting together with Damon after the breakup. Not even a whole episode/day before getting together with your ex's brother? It just really rubbed me the wrong way. And also the fact that Elena shows up looking to stay there. That is freaking ridiculous. Get a hotel room. Stay with Caroline or Bonnie. You are telling me that the day after you break up with someone, you are going to show up on their door, say you need to stay there, basically kick your ex out (it's not like Stefan really could have stayed, it would have been the most awkward situation ever), all so that you can be alone with his brother, who you have made it clear that you have romantic feelings for? Gtfo. That is really a terrible thing to do in my opinion. The last thing to mention is the sire bond. I am totally with you. Hearing that information at that moment takes you out of the scene. There should have been a Delena scene without that information from Stefan and Caroline intercutting it. I just don't think it was good for anyone. Give Delena fans their scene! It had been a long wait. I won't go into anymore details about my opinions on that for fear of spoiling anything. I apologize for writing so much, I just think that it is an interesting discussion. I'm happy to hear feedback, just please keep it civil!

this sire bond storyline really frustrated me too. they should have figured out another way to bring delena together. plus this storyline has so many plot holes. so just because you have feelings for a vampire and you get turned by his blood you get sired to him? then if a human and vampire are in love and the vampire turns the human because they want to be together forever. then the human will instantly become sired to him? so lexi's boyfriend was also sired to her. who was a human and lexi turned him so they could be together. also in this case there must be so many sired vampires in the world. because according to anna one of three reasons vampires turn other vampires is because they are in love. and the question also arises that if elena had turned by stefan's blood then would she had also been sired to him?

Love the reactions! If you want to stay on the same timeframe, react to the originals after season 4. Realistically it won't effect the tvd reactions if you finish that show first. But it would be good to have a spin-off of the show reacted too all caught up with tvd
