The whimsical staple was a favorite destination for those visiting downtown Louisville. After years of problems and maintenance, it was put away for good.
With the expansion at Churchill Downs the Hotels & all that they are building they should buy it, fix it & put it in the lobby or courtyard of one of the hotels. That or put it on the property at the Downs. They can afford to upgrade the mechanics, cover maintenance of the piece & provide protection so that it doesn't get vandalized. That's what they should do.
