Well done! We can only hope that the melodious doowop replaces the cacaphony of the rap crap on the streets of every city in the world. Doowop forever!
I feel lucky to have bumped into this video. My heart was singing right along with them. Their sound made for some very sweet, nostalgic, moments. I listened to it again and again. Life is too short for sour note moments. I feel grateful to the universe for bringing these boys together and for allowing me to hear their voices. To the Boys, Thanks for Singing. And to the contributor, Thanks for posting. ~ John B. of Flatbush.
Yep. Keep that music alive. True singing, harmony, no effects other than stairway or bathroom echo. I’m from Philly so we did sing this music on street corners etc. Thanks Geator for turning your yon teenagers onto this music when we were kids.
Now you know where the term "doo-wop" comes from. Young teen guys on the corner did not have musical instruments so they created the background music with their voices with "nonsense" lyrics.
you wont be in school forever your life hasnt even begun so sing what ever you like /love and enjoy every second of it . I lost my vocals chords to lung issues and miss being able to sing more than anything in my life . Go for it and live your life for you and ignore anyone who is immature enough to put a downer on you xx
One of the best versions I've ever heard of this Gene Chandler classic. Absolutely beautiful!! ❤❤❤ (This is now on RU-vid's Contemporary Doo Wop..... ru-vid.com/group/PLZY0gh4CnM6g4rDNb40W-R3X1ZabhHjo1&si=Ov_y7-wFo1gkqtez )
And...They DON'T need bloody AERObics & Dancing, like these days so called...'pUp' "singers" with NO talent,NO voice,to > REALY SING. For Them,is enough to JUST open their mouths & You are SIMPLY >AMAZED....
What happens with music these days? Why singers and talents like these are not winning money or the recognition they worth? A lot of talent lost, and instead, a lot of without talent "singers" have everything? I don't know what happens with the world.
Absolutely astounding ! ! ! Bring it back """ LIKE A HOME RUN""" YOUR voices are OUR GRAND CREATORS "" GIFT"" TO EACH OF YOU"" ALWAYS use it TO INSPIRE as is happening now for "" LISTENERS"". I THANK YOU.
These guys are really good. In some ways, acappela is the best. When we were kids, we would walk down the street singing the Duke of Earl. I think this was in 1962.
Excellent a capella rendition of the song. This is one professional group. My congrats to you guys. I noticed that there were two females behind you. I don't know if they were a part of the harmony or just "lip'syncing but the performance is enviable. Congrats to the two gals if they WERE part of the harmony. Reminds me of when I did street corner a capella back in the early 60's in The Bronx, New York City.
Yo amo esta cancion, es tan linda..mi mama siempre la ponia cuando hacia la comida o limpiaba, y ella sabia que ami me gustaba esa cancion..la repetia con tal de verme feliz..
Love the dry-cleaning - or are those their performing duds? Either way, talk about "off the cuff." Here's something I don't think I've ever seen in all my years of dialing up RU-vid musical performances: ZERO "DISLIKES"! The Finns have impressed even the Chandler faithful!
