In this video, Professor Fink describes the functional structures of the Vertebral Column and Rib Cage. The basic structure of vertebrae is described, including the Vertebral Arch, Vertebral Foramen & Intervertebral Foramina. The regions of the Vertebral Column are described, including how to differentiate between Cervical, Thoracic & Lumbar Vertebrae, as well as the Sacrum and Coccyx. Professor Fink also describes the Primary (posteriorly convex) and Secondary Curvatures (posteriorly concave) as well the abnormal curvatures (including Scoliosis, Kyphosis & Lordosis). Reference is made to a laminectomy, the Atlas (C-1), the Axis (C-2) and C-7 (vertebra prominens). This is followed by a description of the 3 parts of the Sternum (Manubrium, Body & Xiphoid Process), as well as the 3 types of Ribs (vertebral-sternal, vertebral-chondral & vertebral ribs).

I feel compelled to leave a comment expressing my gratitude. Through your lectures, you have helped me to navigate an online anatomy class and successfully complete it. Had it not been for your lecture series, I would have been very lost. Thank you, professor Fink. I am hoping that in the future you will also upload your Pathophysiology lectures too.

I am enrolled for an A&P course for this coming semester. Professor Fink is a genius. He is correct about having taken Medical Terminology and Biology courses prior to this course. I would be lost if I had not taken them previously. I am so grateful for his site. Thank you, Professor Fink.

who is the one behind this one dislike. Dude, you have got some serious issue LD (learning disability) maybe  no hard feelings. Just be careful while upvoting or downvoting. Some people really rely on these thumb's directions including me. These lectures are gem.
