Oh my days, I can't believe you've reacted to this, The Verve, what a legendary group, what an Anthem this is. He went from the Verve to a solo artist. Peace from the UK Sir.✌
Glastonbury is the best festival in the world, so especially for a British artist, headlining here is the pinnacle of anyone's career. Hence Ashcroft being particularly pumped, as you noticed. They would probably not have headlined normally, but got a boost from reuniting after some years apart. But who's gonna argue and say they shouldn't have headlined after watching that? Great performance. After years of watching on TV, I finally got tickets for the festival myself, and completely fell in love with the place. You liked the crowd too, guys day the feeling of being there is like nothing else. Absolute bliss. This year will be my fifth festival, won't be long til the first lineup poster drops, can't wait. Thanks for the video!
Ha ha, no way!!!! The mighty Verve!!! I loved this band back in the day!!! I’m an old hip hop head, was into all the original hip hop artists and groups back in the 80s/90s and then ‘Britpop’ exploded in the UK early/mid 90’s and the whole country went mad for bands like Oasis, Blur, Verve, Supergrass, Charlatans, Happy Monday’s, Stone Roses, Snow Patrol, Shed Seven (my personal fav, along with the Verve and Stone Roses in this era)! The Verve were always amazing live, I’ve seen them multiple times and they always bring it!!! This track is from their ‘Urban Hymns’ album - full of bangers, defo check it out!!! A couple of my other fav tracks are ‘Sonnet’, ‘The Drugs Don’t work’ and ‘Lucky Man’. They have other albums before and after this one that are also great!!!
