@@mariavanzino1065 ma non si capisce cosa vuol dire lei ,sulle sue parole finali mi scusi ,dov’è sono i cantanti oggi come Corelli,Bergonzi ,Del Monaco ,Pavarotti e tanti altri del passato ,dove ?? Kauffmann non raggiunge questi livelli. Io mi auguro che nel futuro tornino artiste di questo calibro,ma non ho molta fiducia perché la Vera conoscenza della lirica sparisce giorno dopo giorno . I cantanti odierni che forse potrebbero diventare grandi perdono velocemente la voce pechè cantano il repertorio sbagliato,spingono la voce dalla laringe senza usare il diafragma come si deve ,alzano le spalle su i toni alti ,buttano la voce giù per cercare di acquisire il pregiato colore scuro della voce,ma il colore scuro come nel caso di Franco Corelli viene dato dalla natura ,allora non resta altro che cantare sul fiato e in maschera come lo facevano i grandi del passato,,Alfredo Krauss rispettava la sua voce lèggerà ,ed è stato grande perchè a cantato nel suo registro senza mai cercare di affondare il suono per cercare di fare il repertorio drammatico..Oggi è un classico tant’è voci suonano forte ,su i centri e sono carenti di vibrazioni giuste quando salgono ,quindi diventano deludenti ,ed ho ascoltato tanti.

Agreed. To me he excels beyond Domingo Pavarotti albeit their voices etc are still enthralling but Corelli touches the heart and it seems he is singing for you alone.ehat a loss. I heard him on Naples in Turandot...never forgotten.MHDSRIP.

@@LiederBrasilis Corelli sang love duet ,( act I) too, with Teresa Zylis Gara at Gala evening to R. Bing , Met, 1972. Teresa replaced Tebaldi at last moment and it was wonderful singing, beautiful melting their voices! Must see - there are 3 videos on YT.

I think it was Karajan's second (with Vickers) that Franco stepped out of.

I agree fully with you. It's the best CD of 8, but the others also are very FRANCO. In Franco sitting was a great secret only he could tell us. ---He sang the great masculine HEROES with feminine expression. Untill tdoday nobody has reached this exiting niveau of expression. And one other wonder. His singing technic was overwhelming, perfettissimo. This technic was better -- I beg to be allowed to say this -- this technic was better than Enrico Caruso's singing trchnic.. Greetings to you. My son has a similar illness, but does not come out untill today. He is 47 (on Sunday). All the best for you. . God save you.
