There will probably be backlash about not cutting Ryan out, from some people. I personally am on the fence about it. Hearing him makes me immediately think of the situation. On the other hand, I don't want to lose the last umpteen years of memorable moments. So since I have an opportunity, being here so early, to possibly be heard by the content creator, I just want to say: whatever you choose to do is okay. No matter what you do, some people won't like it. So do what feels right for you.
Honestly, I'm right there with you. Hearing his voice immediately puts all that he's done into my head, and yet I feel cutting him out would be too much work for something we dont need. Despite being a monster, Ryan was a Cult of Personality in the AH office with his unique skills, hilarious one-liners, and genuine gaming knowledge. I don't know if anyone can fill that void.

Here’s my opinion: We may not approve of what he’s done recently-I’m fairly certain no one can deny that-but acting like he’s the second coming of ToonKriticY2K, and demanding that everyone cut everything he was in ever is like demanding that everyone tell friends that John F. Kennedy didn’t get shot, and that the ramifications for our country’s literal existence never happened. By all means, remember what he’s done, but remember the good *AND* the bad!

I think AH is simply a victim of a young or immature (be it emotionally or psychically) audience mentality. The members of AH are definitely one of the most open people that I've seen, no question about that, but in the end, it's a still act, performed by people in their late 30s, early 40s. but they somewhere down the line stopped differentiating these two crucial mindsets and it went too far. Ryan's and other incidents showed how nurturing this young, naive fan base who can't differentiate between friendliness and acting (be it professional or malicious) can be so harmful for both sides. Now, is it a problem of young people being naive, or rather a problem of society rejecting young people and ignoring their experience? I had quite a rocky childhood, but compared to quite a general experience of growing up in the US, I was carried on a velvet pillow, so to speak. No wonder they clinch to a first opportunity to be in a friendship, which is what predators like Ryan and many others (not talking about AH now, jut in general) exploited and still exploiting. All I wanted to say is to appeal to people to start differentiating between the art and the artist and to not idealize strangers. This "delete everything" way of thinking is very dangerous and frankly also immature.
Same. I believe I made a comparison on another comment that it's like Michael Jackson. He did some bad things to kids, but people still enjoy his music. Might be the same with Ryan after a while... (at least I hope, time will tell)
@@lpool3551 Personally, I believe that total separation of "art from the artists" is as unhealthy as no separation. There needs to be a balance between the two. You can appreciate Ryan's content and what good, though marred, he had done and also detest what he was and became. It's how I can consume H. P. Lovecraft's novels and stories as an example. He was a terrible person who detested women and hated anything homosexual to the point of representing that in his literature. I think that understanding the fact that that way of thinking wasn't common (but at the same time was not uncommon) is important to enjoying his work to the fullest.
@@lpool3551 the salt raid is especially hard for me to watch now because of the line "I don't need to have sex Im trying to make a good video". Just such a harsh reminder of what he was doing at the time it takes me completely out of it
@@tegon_ yeah. totalseparation is hard as we don't get to enjoy content and all that but no separation is basically sweeping what he did under the rug. by keeping that in mind we respect the victims and can kinda make sure it doesn't happen again by acknowledging his shittiness

AH and RT should definitely not cut everything with Ryan in it. Wouldn't make much sense. I get that they are trying to get away from this (even though they have kept other "controversial" things) , but they shouldn't. It's censorship that they shouldn't do. Are they gonna erase my memories while they are at it? It happened. That's like trying to erase Hitler or somebody else that's done something bad from history. Although Ryan isn't anywhere near that type of bad. Same with Adam Kovic. Don't delete content. Pretending it never happened is garbage way of doing it.
They're not cutting everything. They cut things that Ryan was the only person in, such as Technical Difficulties and I believe an Off Topic or two. For the most part, the core content has stayed up. Case point, Crimmies and Hitman. As new information comes to light, guidance may shift; However, as it stands currently they have already removed what they're gonna remove as the individual in the content no longer meets community guidelines

They are removing content that looks bad now. One of the RTAA that was removed was Ryan telling a story about missing an Uber or something and being stuck in a different state for another day when everyone went home but now it turns out he missed it intentionally to met up and have sex with an underage fan. Stuff like that should go and is what is going.

Dont be a dick. I dont much care for Michael's near constant yelling and screaming; but that's not constructive to post about as that is who Michael is. why is Ryan even in these? they want nothing to do with him so why rub it in their face by leaving him in these after they took down 95% of the videos he was in?
They did not take down 95% of the videos he was in. Technical Difficulties, an RTAA and an Off Topic is all I have seen that has been taken down. Criminal Mastermind and the Yacht mission that are only Ryan with 3 people, let watch Hitman videos where Ryan is the one playing, Golf It and Gang Beasts are all still up.
