I'm Korean, but listening to this song makes me want to be Russian. Even if I can't be Russian, I want to love Russia. It seems to be one of the great cultural heritage of Russia.
I have always felt a great affinity for the USSR, whilst fully recognising its many faults and failures. As readily as popular culture in much of the world ignores it, there's no way that any sensible analysis of modern history can fail to recognise the immense contribution that the USSR made to humanity on a cultural and scientific level. This anthem is majestic. It doesn't make me wish I was Russian, but that wasn't ever what it was about. At least in theory, it was always about ordinary people, their freedom to choose their own path in life, to share somewhat in the enjoyment of the wealth produced by the collective labours of themselves and their peers, without regard for national borders. I don't need to be Russian, or to fool myself about what the Soviet Union ultimately became before it's demise to appreciate the beauty of this immensely moving and powerful composition. It's genuinely magnificent.

Having lived there and my family are still there i must agree what a bloody top place to live great people. Never forget the first time i landed there i was there 1 hr and i realised we had been fed a load of bollocks by our govts and media . Wie wahr! Und die Natur. Beim Anblick der Bilder habe ich mich an einen Lufthansa Flug nach Japan über die unermesslichen Weiten des schneebedeckten Sibiriens erinnert. An meine Konversation mit dem Flight Attendant, der, wie sich herausstellte, Russisch in Moskau studiert und auch am Baikal See gelebt hatte. Gemeinsam haben wir diese Weiten bewundert - an Bord war es völlig ruhig, Nachtflug. Und jetzt muss man einen Umweg von 3 Stunden fliegen..... Alles nur sehr traurig. Aber die Werte des Westen gehen eben vor. Die werden in Gaza zerbombt und ausgehungert.

Deutsche Waren sind wirklich von hoher Qualität und diese Technologien wurden seit Jahren entwickelt - warum stecken Sie dieses Scholz-Rohr nicht zwischen das Gesäß? USSR has never been problem for Türkiye, also Russia after USSR. We have good friendships,business. But usa has organised four times military coup in 1960,in 1970,in 1980 and in 2015 (that is unsuccessful). You can imagine how many thousands have died. The reason was only " We didn't want to be agree with usa" .For example our president and three ministers have planned to visit Moscow in 1950 's, but only a few days before usa made military coup and that president with his that three ministers had been killed, execution in 1960.
