Bruno Fernandes is by far the best signing by Man U in the last decade.

i hate how people make out sancho didn't cause the issue, he publicly opposed the manager, which you should never do, even after ETH gave him time away for mental health last year, which is unheard of btw, then refusing to apologise, not just letting down the manager, but the fans, and still won't, dortmund mentioned that he was somewhat troublesome, but people still think sancho has been hard done by.

Manchester locker room is toxic, British media too, lots of pressure, also Jadon too distracted by glamour party and so on. Boy needs a stable environment to thrive. That's the difference between BVB and ManU.

@@1607Adi_Manz the manager has every right to provide a reason for leaving a player out, he just said sancho didn't train well, sancho was childish in making it public and calling the manager a liar, letting down the fans and club.

@@1607Adi_ManzCaused all of it by doing what? Mentioning that he wasn't happy with his performances in training? That's just the truth. He was known even at Dortmund for being late to sessions and not training hard. Coming out and calling the manager a liar, then refusing to apologise and collecting his millions while playing FIFA instead of helping his team is a whole different matter and is completely unacceptable for any club.

Jadon Sancho’s career has been an interesting one so far. After not getting game time at Manchester City, he went to Borussia Dortmund in 2017 where he was lighting up the Bundesliga week in week out and looked like one of the best wingers in the world before earning a big money move to Manchester United in 2021 going back to the Premier League where his time there didn’t work out and he was exiled from the squad following disagreements with Erik ten Hag and he didn’t see eye to eye with him and refused to apologize to his manager only for him to return to Dortmund in January and he’s now playing in a champions league final. Who would’ve thought and this is the funniest thing with how all of this has played out. For some reason, it just never clicked for Sancho at Manchester United and there were factors in his poor form. He didn’t look like the right fit he was devoid of confidence when he played and we also never saw the best version of him under any manager in charge there. With the wages and amount of money that they paid for him he massively underperformed and never found his feet as a Manchester United player. Whether the manager or the player was at fault it doesn’t matter as yes both of them should’ve with the situation better and worked things out behind the scenes, but Erik ten Hag felt like he crossed the line with how he was called a scapegoat and didn’t get an apology from him and he had to leave him out of the squad. Sancho played things out very smartly because he didn’t want to resolve anything with his manager he knew what he was doing with the wages that he was on, they would consistently pay him and he didn’t have to play at all, he was able to go to parties and play video games all day. He also avoided all of their most embarrassing moments this season. He didn’t want to play for Manchester United and after playing 76 minutes of football for 4 months, in January he returned to Borussia Dortmund where he has somehow managed to rediscover his form and played a massive role in their run to the champions league final. We can talk about how they won the FA Cup, they had a bad season, the guy is playing in a UCL final and there’s no shame to losing to Real Madrid who are the “kings of Europe”. It’s not just Manchester United, clubs in general need to think twice before signing players from Borussia Dortmund because with them being known as a club that nurtures young talent, you can get the next big superstar in football for ex Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham and they would be a good fit at any club in the world and do well beyond the Dortmund system others look much better at Borussia Dortmund than they did at any club. There’s nothing wrong with that and that doesn’t make anyone a “systems players”, but with what was evident at Manchester United, Sancho looks like a different player at Borussia Dortmund and you can see that he plays with much more confidence and freedom when there’s not a lot of pressure on him. He’s still a little inconsistent as his performance particularly the one against PSG in the Champions League semifinals wasn’t enough for him to make the England squad at the EUROs, he is a much better fit for Dortmund than he was at Manchester United and players like that need the right environment and manager. That’s part of why signing players from Borussia Dortmund it’s 50-50 and it can be a little risky. Regardless of who the manager at Manchester United is whether they keep Erik ten Hag or not, I don’t think that Sancho wants to go back there he looks happy at Borussia Dortmund and if they don’t sign him permanently he could go to another club maybe.

I agree to what you’re saying but someone explain to me how United developed such robust talent from their academy like Diallo, Mainoo and Garnacho if their training methods are outdated? I think most players from other clubs just crumble under the sheer pressure to perform and academy players are used to the crowd which would turn hostile in a matter of days and then sing your songs the next weekend. This is not typical fan behavior in other clubs. It’s just simply too hard to step into Old Trafford without dreading your own supporters.

The fact that Alexis Sanchez flopped at Manchester United after being considered as one of the best players in the Premier League at one point tells you all you need to know about the current state of this football club. During his time at Arsenal, he was a world class winger. Year after year he was consistently carrying that team on his shoulders and he wasn’t just excelling at club level, with the Chile national team, they won the Copa America in back to back years in 2015 and 2016 by beating Argentina in the final. In 2016-17 his last full season at Arsenal he had 20+ goals and 10+ assists in the premier league and 30 goals in all competitions and won the FA Cup. With him growing discontent with a lack of trophies and they finished outside of the top 4 failing to qualify for the champions league for the first time in decades, he made a decision that was derailed his career and after that he was never the same again. In general, Manchester United wasn’t the right club for him and he was a shadow of his former self. Overall, his best performance in a Manchester United shirt was when he played the piano being announced as a United player. Some factors played a role in his struggles like the weight of the number 7 shirt because when you wear that jersey at Manchester United it comes with big responsibility and expectations, he lacked the desire to put in effort on the pitch due to the wages that he was on or maybe he was just that bad, he could never replicate his Arsenal form and he lacked confidence and he put in a string of underwhelming performances combined with the fact that he had niggling injuries too. Jose Mourinho was regularly starting him when he wasn’t playing well, as soon as he was sacked and they hired Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer he never fancied Sanchez and he quickly became an afterthought. He was a bit of a mercenary in the team being on a lot of money getting paid without doing anything, he was just living a fortune and making easy money and these are the players that they’ve been signing year after year. After 18 disappointing months at Manchester United, he left the club and went to Inter Milan and this was a bad move for both parties and it’s up there with some of the worst transfers in football history. We talk about the biggest fall offs ever after a big money transfer Eden Hazard’s move to Real Madrid in 2019, Fernando Torres to Chelsea in 2011, Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona are among the worst transfers ever Alexis Sanchez at Manchester United was a massive flop.

People will say that he has gotten better in the 2nd half of the season, Andre Onana has looked lost for the most parts since his move to Manchester United and remind me why David de Gea has been a free agent for nearly a year now. He was always a great goalkeeper and we saw that with him during his time at Ajax even if later on he was suspended for a year due to him being caught doping. After that, he resurrected his career with Inter Milan and despite his form being mixed in Serie A last season, he was a critical part of them getting to the Champions League final for the first time since the 2009-10 season. He had the most clean sheets out of any player in the competition and while he was helped by playing alongside a proper defense, he was very good to be honest. We can’t say that about him at Manchester United right now even though it’s too early to write players off. With David de Gea’s departure in the summer, Erik ten Hag wanted a ball playing goalkeeper which is why they signed Onana as he wanted a keeper than can build up their attack from the back. Overall, he had an underwhelming debut season, for someone who cost over 50 million, he’s not even seen as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and he should be. He has conceded a staggering total of 80+ goals or more and he was part of a team that had one of their worst defensive seasons ever and it’s not just the fact that he’s conceded a lot of goals, he has made a lot of errors and mistakes and too many times he has costed Manchester United games as he was very poor when they finished bottom of their group in the champions league and he hasn’t fared any better in the premier league, look people can be deceived by stats and look at how many clean sheets he has kept, but our eyes tell us one thing. Part of being a keeper is being good at shot stopping and even in that area sometimes he’s a weak link in the team. With the amount of saves he’s had to make is that a testament to how good of a goalkeeper he is or how bad Manchester United’s defense is especially since he’s had to play in front of so many different defensive pairings as a result of their injury crisis at the back and how many shots a game they concede. At times he has been one of their better players, but the way he started his career at Manchester United was shocking and he has to try and build on his recent improvement even though I still don’t see how ten Hag thinks that he’s upgraded from de Gea. All of those factors have played a role in his inconsistency and he has time to show that he’s not a flop as he has to deliver next season otherwise he could be axed.

Yet another channel that just spouts nonsense. Sancho didn't "publicly out Ten Hag." Ten hag stated he wasn't picked for the Arsenal game due to not training hard enough, then Sancho decided to be a spoilt brat and think he was bigger than the club. Learn the facts, but everyone knows you won't because you refuse to a accept the facts.

Angel Di Maria is another world class player to have struggled at Manchester United and dang how many careers do they ruin. Prior to his transfer to Manchester United in 2014, he was coming off the back of a phenomenal season at Real Madrid where he helped them win the Champions League (La Decima) by being MOTM in the final against Atletico Madrid. There were high expectations around him when Manchester United paid big money on him. Things started off well, but his time at Old Trafford quickly became a nightmare he was unsettled with the weather in Manchester and on the pitch he didn’t look comfortable in their system he was an awkward fit for the team and he had some issues with Louis Van Gaal and he found himself benched. Since leaving Manchester United in 2015, he has reignited his career as he found his best form again for PSG and he enjoyed a stellar stint there and again, in international football he has been a key part of Argentina’s success in recent years scoring in 3 consecutive finals for his country (Copa America World Cup and Finalissma). He has had an excellent career for club and country where he has won almost everything, but it just never happened for Di Maria at Manchester United.

With how his career has played out in recent years, many people forget that at one point Paul Pogba was actually an elite midfielder. In his first stint at Juventus, he was the next big thing in football and many people tipped him to be a “Ballon Dor winner” and one of the greatest midfielders of all time. It made sense because he had an unlimited ceiling he was very talented and was the perfect example of a box to box midfielder someone who’s so good on the ball has a ridiculous range of passing a unique skillset close control and phenomenal dribbling and is also very strong and excellent shooting ability too. The guy was a complete midfielder and his profile was reminiscent to Zinedine Zidane someone who was technically gifted very skilled on the ball and was able to create something out of nothing. This was a period when Juventus were at their best as they won multiple Serie A titles and they even got to the champions league final in 2015 and he was part of a talented squad where in midfield he was surrounded around world class players like Claudio Marchisio Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo. All of this convinced Manchester United to resign him in the summer of 2016 and at the time he was the most expensive player in the world. Again, for Pogba his time at Manchester United didn’t work out. You have to question whether the timing of this move was right from him especially since he was doing very well with Juventus the team was very successful he left that to rejoin a team that has been nothing more than a circus show since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. For his transfer fee, he never truly justified his price tag, I think he was scapegoated for all of their problems. He came under criticism from fans and pundits where they pushed an agenda that he was a flop an overrated player who’s not as good as people think he is and that he was never a world class player and is a player who can only perform when his team is firing on all cylinders. His performances were out of his control, he didn’t look bad, because of how terrible Manchester United were, it made him look very mediocre and while he had issues with Jose Mourinho as both of them often clashed as he was being used out of position, no manager was able to truly get the best out of him. They didn’t know what his best position was and that causes a lack of confidence and it affected his performances and he couldn’t have any sort of consistency. He was often benched at times too for not playing well. When you’re a club that pays a lot of money on a player and they look so much better with the national team, that’s an issue. Not to mention that in a season he missed a lot of games sure to recurring injuries and that caused him to not have continuity because every time he had a couple of good performances he would end up getting injured. During the period where he struggled for form at Manchester United, Pogba often showcased his best performances with the France national team and he was excellent in 2018 the year where they won the World Cup. Many people wondered why he is so good for France, but was never able to replicate that level of form at Manchester United. The answer is simple, he played on a far better team and it’s true that he played next to N’Golo Kante an elite CDM and the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann some of the best players in the world, Didier Deschamps knew how to properly utilize him and maybe the system that they played make him look so good. Just like his time at Juventus, when a player like that is surrounded around the right pieces you expect him to thrive and that wasn’t the case for him at Manchester United. What if he was playing for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool or even went to a club like Real Madrid, maybe his prime years wouldn’t been better. I don’t know, but all I know is that he’s not really at fault for why things didn’t work out at United even though he made the wrong move at the wrong time.

Manchester United has been a club were all good players are turned into dross apart from Zlatan, Herrera, Cavani, Ronaldo, Martinez and De Gea. The rest either weren't that bad like Lukaku, Di Maria, Pogba, Mata, Bruno, Varane, Onana, Casemiro, Amrabat, Fellaini and Eriksen or they were absolutely hopeless like Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, Memphis, Falcao, Sanchez, Sancho, Lindelof, Bailly, Telles, Van De Beek, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Rojo, Fred, Antony, Mount, Werghost, Ighalo and Hojlund. Not all the players were at fault for why it didn't work out however most of the failings are on Ed Woodward and the Glazers for signing shirt sellers instead of signing players that fit the system. It's no secret why many managers fail because the players we've signed don't fit the system required. Of course the recruitment has been abysmal for years deeming players like Haaland, Rice and Caicedo not Manchester United level because they ain't marketable and yet these players could have improved our squad. Unfortunately we're stuck with players that are more of PR merchants and egomaniacs than wanting to play and fight for the badge. The blame for Manchester United in this toxic state now is on the Glazers and Woodward. Yes our fans and managers played a part of the toxic environment but the ultimate cancer are the Glazers and Woodward. Until Ineos cleans up the toxicity, expect another 10 years of this mediocrity. We're screwed.

Manchester United has been nothing more than a graveyard club in the last decade. It has been a place for mercenaries to gather especially since whenever they try to offload an underperforming player, their transfer fee is a lot lower now than it was when they initially signed them. Almost every big money signing apart from Bruno Fernandes who’s the only player who’s actually elevated their game at Manchester United, has flopped massively and they’re capable of turning world class players into mediocre ones. Jadon Sancho Paul Pogba Angel Di Maria Alexis Sanchez Casemiro Memphis Depay even Romelu Lukaku etc are players who has success elsewhere that quickly forgot how to play football at Manchester United. There are many factors that contribute to their struggles such as their tactical instability managers coming in and out different systems etc, combined with the imbalanced culture of this football club since Sir Alex Ferguson left, not only have managers struggled in a toxic environment, there are players who look like a shadow of their former self after joining Manchester United.
