Bishop Carolyn Showell exhorts the saints, particularly the First Ladies in a praise break! Sunday, October 26, 2014 Pilgrim's Assembly in Brooklyn, New York

@John Wright Your comment is a great time to address the foolishness of this common assertion. Dancing is not only done in black churches. There is no proven link between what you see here and practices of the Hindu religion. If there is, no one has clarified what that connection would be. As far as black people are concerned, early on they used the fused cultural practices of various ethnic groups to worship God through Jesus Christ in song, prayer, dance, and sermons. And, according to the Bible, there is no living seed of Cain. If there were, many people categorized as white, as well as whole segments of the European population, would be in that lineage. The “seed of Cain” doctrine was invented specifically to dehumanize black people; it says a lot that you would use it.
I love how the pulpit always incites the shout. They make you feel so bad that you say I might as well shout. I went to church with a friend years ago and every thing that happened in that church they shouted. I was through when they shouted on the announcements. You talk about JOY!
