I agreed with the author off the above comments . I have been looking for a exercise class and feel that I have found one. Thank you for everything including the classes. They were very informative.

I am a strong believer in exercising. Yet have a query. If exercise does all that good, why would a cyclist like Davis Phinney get Parkinson’s?

Hello Sadhana, good question! The research for what can prevent Parkinson's is still in its infancy, so unfortunately there is a lot still unknown as to what can actually reduce the chances of getting Parkinson's. So, at this point, there is no direct support showing that exercise will prevent you from getting Parkinson's, but there is a lot of researching supporting that exercise will help symptoms, quality of life, and possibly progression if you have Parkinson's.

I also have the same question. My husband has Parkinson’s and he has been exercising (lifting weights and cardio) since the age of 12. I also wonder how he would be now if he hadn’t exercised for all those years. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It seems to me that what is good for PD resistance has to also be good to better prevent it!!
