Ganon's *SO* Underpowered, Cat can Morph, and defeat and reverse Monika powers, Monika can bend **SPACE AND TIME** but, is stuck in the digital world, Ganon... he uhh... can skate... pretty good... and fly.
Not EVERY MegaMan game. Mr. X is the villain in MegaMan 6. I still have no idea who that guy could possibly be. I mean, he doesn't really resemble any of the other characters. The only theory I've been able to come up with is that he's Auto in disguise, but that's a pretty loose theory. Dr. Wily does make an appearance in 6, but it's only at the very end where he appears to suddenly kill Mr. X while hiding in his capsule, then bait MegaMan into fighting him again.
I honestly really liked seeing Monika in your videos. For someone who gets emotionally attached to things like characters in games and really wants them to be happy, everything about Monika was a serious kick in the gut. Doki Doki Literature Club is a game where you cannot have a happy ending. Not only is Monika unable to have her happy ending, but none of the other characters are able to either. It is a game designed to screw with people like me, who get emotionally attached to games like hers, to make us question what's the point of romancing a fake character if they can never ever bring me happiness outside that world. Monika's story really got to me, and I'm a person who really cares about others and I want people to be happy that they met me, so at the end of the game when Monika straight up told me she hated me, I felt awful. Despite all of the horrible things she had done, I felt bad, I felt awful and the worst part of it is, it didn't even matter. I destroyed Monika's one and only hope at happiness, for nothing. It didn't matter. So personally, seeing Monika in your videos made me happy. Seeing her have some sort of life outside of a game, some sort of life where she got to actually enjoy herself a bit. I liked seeing the dynamic between you two because it was honestly really entertaining, and it offered a lot to the video. But I also understand that it can't remain, although I certainly wouldn't complain if she showed up in your videos as a bit of a gag every now and then. It'd be nice.
But there is a "happy ending". If you go through the route with everyone, then at the end, instead of going crazy, Sayori is nice and there's some sad words and stuff.
@@crunchygoose9675 I honestly didn't even know that, but after doing some more research it still seems like it's a bit out of the way and you need to actively save and load specific scenes in order to get them all. And even the happy ending none of the characters get any real happy ending or closure. Monika is still trapped in a game without any hope, and Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki are all trapped in a game, likely unaware of their existence. Even the best ending leaves the girls of Doki Doki without any real hope. And to me, that's what is so striking about the game.
@@why3994 If you didn't know the game was a horror game, you wouldn't know she was a villain. Sure, you'd think she just REALLY likes you, but never think of her as a villain.
I don't think it was much of a twist. Porky was always kind of a jerkoff to begin with. A tragic jerkoff who was a product of the toxic environment he was raised in, but a jerkoff just the same.
"Nous nous appelons les squelettes" I'm honestly surprised you didn't talk a bit more about GLaDOS or the other moronic core from Portal 2. When the core transfer was done, it was a pretty surprising twist.
Then in Golden Sun, the "villains" are trying to do the same thing you are but the methods in which it is done are the key difference. Also, the interactions between the villains and the heroes in that game play a big role in determining which ones one would consider villains and which ones heroes.
I can't name many games where the final boss shakes your hand after you win. The one game I can name with that has been one of my absolute favourite games in the past month.
If there are any Kirby villains that fall under this category; they are Queen Sectonia and President Haltmann. Starting as regular people with big goals they forget who they were and where they came from after becoming super powerful. To them, death becomes mercy.
My favorite villain is Gwyn Lord of Cinders from. Dark Souls. Throughout the game you never directly see any of his exploits, but references to him are abundant and you see the power and former glory of his kingdom first hand in Anor Londo. There are very few events in the lore of the first game that don't have something to do with Gwyn on top of that the narrative you get from other undead refer to him as god worthy of worship, while Frampt the Serpent straight up tells the character you are to follow in Gwyns footsteps and link the fire. Gwyn himself may have ruled as a physical king, but through the power of his soul he sees himself as a god, this view is shared by almost all in his kingdom. And he founded a religion around himself. However if you examine the lore, he is not however the noble king his followers and children (Gwynevere/ Gwendolyn) make him out to be. Gwyn is responsible for some of the most heinous acts of destruction in Dark Souls, convincing the witch of Izalith to artificially create a new fire, this results in Izalith sinking into the earth and the witch and her children transforming into demons, flooding new Londo killing the entire city out of fear of the abyss created by Man ,bvanishing his first born son and erasing him from the annals of history because he had a different point of view and held respect toward the dragons Gwyn hated, imprisoning early mankind in the ringed city when that does not stop the spread of humanity he proceeds to "Shepard them" in a religion he created around himself and his offspring, and his worst crime was accidentally creating the Undead Curse when he sacrificed himself in linking the first flame keep his Age of Fire Alive. And the reason he did all of this was out of fear. He feared mankind would usurp him like he usurped the dragons, he feared the darkness within man and so strove to foil and deicive mankind at every opportunity. He feared the passage of time that would someday end his rule and his age of fire. He feared the age of man. And so cursed man to a lower existence when he offered himself up to the first flame. And when you (the chosen undead ) fight him at the end of the game, Gwyn the great lord of lordan, slayer of dragons and self proclaimed god, is but a hollow burnt husk of his former glory, his once kingly vestments covered in soot and torn, his mind has left him, his body is burnt and rotten. Despite all he was, despite all he did, by the time you find him in the Kiln of the First Flame, he has been there for centuries wallowing in the ashes of his ambition. He is pathetic and although his stats justify his status as Final Boss, his patterns are some of the most predictable in the game. Thus Gwyn is somewhat pathetic, an undead creature you must put out of its misery like any other. The scene is tragic, to see a figure that has shaped the world with his ambition, reduced to such a state, and the music reflects this. In Dark Souls music is seldom used outside of boss fights, and in those boss fights the music is a loud bombastic classical orchestra often accompanied by a Choir. But for Gwyn's fight the music is somber and subdued with a quiet piano concerto taking the place of the orchestra. In the end even Gwyn succumbed to the undead curse. Ironic that his fear of man made him more human than any of his other characteristics and that he would share their fate serves as a reminder of how ambition can build kingdoms but can also literally rob you of your sensibilities and leave you burning. Gwyn's story brings truth this quote "the brightest lights cast the darkest shadows"
Phantom Krieger I mean gywn is trying to stop the darkness the age of fire was the age of the good the light and life. The age of dark would bring malicious intent and death. So I could see y he was trying so hard it’s a sort of prisoners dilemma. Would u want the world to suffer if u don’t do anything or would u want the world to stay good even if it means some of ur close compatriots and family have to suffer to have the world stay as it is?
My baby sister was watching me trying to choose a video to watch and when she saw Flowey she screamed, "PIKACHU!" I was confused and she then said, "There's his mom right there with the marker."
Fallout 1 Mutant Overlord was a mix of the sympathetic and godly villains. When u convince him that he was in the wrong he just feels regret for causing the suffering of his own kind.
A villain that I have come to love over the years is Copy X from Mega Man Zero. After the original Mega Man X went missing, the humans had no way to defend against the Maverick onslaughts. A young scientist named Ciel decided to try to recreate X. This X, known as Copy X, believed himself to be a perfect copy of the original. He believed himself to be the true savior of the people, however, this led him to his oppressive rule over Neo Arcadia. He would kill anyone who defied him. He viewed himself as a god that would protect at all costs, even if that meant squishing a few ants that were in his way. I really enjoy his character as it is an extreme version of X’s ideology. X wants to protect the humans and uphold justice, but he hates to fight. Copy X is X without the restraint. Plus his design is just cool
I thought count bleck from super paper Mario was a good villain. I knew he was the villain but they slowly revealed bits of him that showed what kind of person he really was, a person who fell in love and lost it turning him into someone with no hope in existence itself
Wait, in Bioshock the unexpected enemy was Fontaine, wasn't it? I mean, sure, Andrew Ryan was the guy we were trying to beat, but i mean, it was like a mix of the shadow of the colossus and the one reviewed befor the bioshock one
My favorite video game villain was wilderlife from drawn to life the next chapter ands it’s prequel His first ever line aside from his laugh is *your parents never told you a horror story about me...pity* He is cruel and Cares about no one but himself he took all the bad from everyone in the words and used it it give himself a physical form and then he kidnapped a 4 year old child and put her life in danger just to kill the main character
The best villain is actually Bowser, right after Mario defeats him and takes back Peach, he puts on a crown and kidnaps Mario instead! To anyone who still doesn't get the reference it's a freaking Bowsette joke
Hello ! I absolutely love your stuff, but the sound is sometimes loud, and sometimes too quiet... Can you somehow fix this balance issue, please ? That would be even nicer.
I know the true villain of undertale! it's not flowey. it's not chara. it's not asgore. it's the genocidal player. so basically if you've ever played the genocide run, you are the villain
i was randomly thinking of pokemon sun/moon. i dont remember the womans name but she was just a random character until the end and she became a frickin villain... yeah i dont remember
