Nathan from GYEON here. Everyone, I am the one who made the comment. Jason, we appreciate your honesty in your videos and that is why we sent you products before launch. We value you very much and what you do for the detailing community. Not that the video wasn’t technical, but it is very important to GYEON that the content is technically accurate. A lot of time has gone into creating the GYEON EVO coating lineup. MOHS has always been a Polysilazane based product and that is why it performs so well in previous tests. GYEON took the next leap by modifying the Polysilazane in the precursor stage with Fluorine in MOHS EVO. This is a molecular advancement in base chemical technology, and we are very excited about it. The coatings are all unique formulas. Detailers must deal with a variety of conditions and customers, so we didn’t create a one size fits all coating. We want you to be honest and we still want to grow with you on your journey. My phone is always on, and I am always a plane trip away.

I am actually surprised that Gyeon did not want you to release this. These are geared to the enthusiast and pro detailers who care for what they apply these products for. The video was well done. They were wrong, in my opinion, to be against releasing this. Thank you Jason for an honest review.

You do what you do, and we like what you do. I have stopped viewing channels that never give the negatives, all positive always. Not real, not truth. Gyeon should have been thrilled with your review. All they have done by dissing you is leave a bad impression of themselves. FREEDOM! Additional thought: The more I think about it the more irritated I am. I think the title is just a bit of click bait. I dont think there was even anything negative in the video. I think Gyeon has prety good coatings and by the way Jayson sells their products. I know this vidoe is a year old but since these came out Gyeon has been saying that the whole evo line has been re formulated and not just re named. I think you have to take their word for it.

Honesty and integrity are rare business traits these days. Products speak for themselves, and if they are afraid of the truth of their products' results then they need to make a better product and that's not on you to make the product seem better than it is. There's marketing and then there's lying. Great video.

I am glad you released this video. Before watching your review I was watching some other reviews from other channels and frankly I came away not knowing which of the 5 Gyeon product lines to choose. You spelled it out pretty clearly for me at least and for me the mohs is the clear winner. Thx for the no BS straight review. One tip is it would of been nice to see the hydrophobic properties of each product but to be honest your video out the the other 4 I watched allowed me to make the decision on which one to buy. So Gyeon executives if you are reading this I am not sure why you gave Jason such a hard time.

Great video Jason. As far as customers go in my opinion, they just want something that works and what you as a detailer would recommend. I watched a “technical” video with a chemist on a graphene coating and I was genuinely bored. I am shocked Gyeon would not want this released. Jason you talked them up big time and said how good their products were. This was a great video and you even said you were going to follow up with durability testing. This video is great for Gyeon and selling more products.

I think the key to their objections can be found in their own content. Gyeon goes for high level production, lighting and a very refined look and feel. Just look at their social and launch events. I don’t think they appreciated you doing your review using a less than optimal test hood. When it comes down to it, Gyeon prefers more of a high-end, salon-like Esoteric type approach versus a working shop with a lot of noise and a very real presenter.

Yea the main content comes from their Gyeon experience center, brand ambassadors, and high level gyeon certified shops. But they do like to keep everything very clean and uniform. Coming from one of their certified mobile guys 🖐️.

Kudos for your honesty! Takes courage to do so. I think the real reason why Gyeon didn‘t want you to release these videos is a different one than the one they gave you. I completely agree that their line of coatings is too extensive. Because those are just the consumer coatings, there are even more for certified detailers. And whereas every other channel so far just repeated what Gyeon told them about the coatings and their differences or tried really hard coming up with differentiations, you just said it how it is: there are too many coatings and the consumer will be confused which one to buy. Unfortunately, that‘s what I also experienced with Gyeon. They are not good with critizism. I for example commented on a Facebook post they released in which they showed pictures of their „master trainer“ applying a coating without gloves. For me, that‘s a big no no and Gyeon should act as a role model in regards to health and safety measures. However, they never replied.

@@connersmith2445 of course Pan isn’t going to have anything bad to say about the products that were given to him and he’s being paid a healthy sum to review. That’s why you take paid reviews with a grain of salt. Hell if I was being paid through the roof for a review I too wouldn’t say anything bad about a product. That’s why you do proper research on a product and don’t just watch one review especially if that reviewer is being paid big money to do so!

Honestly, I can see why Gyeon didn’t want this released. As a marketing guy myself, this does come across as a bit frantic, chaotic, and confusing. Obviously Gyeon isn’t afraid of “the truth of their product” (as so many commenters here are saying)- that’s evident by the fact that you had nearly all positive things to say about the products. I have a feeling it had more to do with the video formatting/editing, pacing, lack of information density, and errors (the pricing being wrong, for example). Just my two cents. I am bias though because I absolutely love the new Evo line- haha. 🍻

In car sales there's a saying "there's a home for every car", and here I feel like saying there's a viewer for every format. You are correct, but that doesn't mean this video lacks value, only that it wouldn't pass manufacture marketing standards, nor should it. He doesn't work for them, and doesn't need their permission. I get not wanting bad blood with a beloved manufacturer, but they can't stop buyers from posting their reviews..and this was a stellar positive review. It's a back-of-the-house demo aimed at installers, and at the end of the day it will certainly move more product. No harm done.

Absolutely fair review. Only possible reason I could see them having beef would be you stating there are too many entries in their new line up so close to release. I agree with you. Great video as always, cancoat (both versions) is ridiculously good for the ££. I hope someone from Gyeon is reading the comments so they can see that people do actually enjoy their stuff and that people are entitled to their own opinions! Keep up the amazing content. Thanks!

The only thing I could maybe see them having an issue with is you being honest about having too many products. But you're right, there's little to no difference between the 2 and 3 year coatings. All things considered, it would be best to just get Mohs and call it a day at it's price point. Maybe they're wanting to tap into the less expensive coating market? I dunno. Regardless, great video man. I hope one day I can fly out there and take some of y'all's classes.

Amazing video. I have a red car and want to ceramic coat it (my first time ever). I have an indoor garage where I can do it, do you advise me the Pure or the Mohs in terms of application and result?

While I'm not a regular viewer of this channel this was recommended to me and the title caught my attention, while this is my honest opinion with no attention to upset anyone. I can understand why Gyeon wasn't that thrilled with the video. While in my opinion saying it was not technical enough isn't the feedback they should have gave, I felt the video jumped around a lot with no structure. At one point you are applying a coating then talking about other coatings, then unboxing them showing the leaflet just felt a bit backwards to other videos. I would have liked the see a line up with what they all did and the difference between them, then maybe shown what comes in the box and how cool the leaflet is. The whole one vs pure thing saying one of them should be deleted doesn't make sense to me when one is more directed at entry level/first time users, in Australia one is priced at $70AUD for 30ml and $110aud for 30ml of pure making a huge price difference for people that are just looking at getting into coatings. I have not used any of these coatings but after watching this video my views are mohs or nothing maybe this is also what there marketing team didn't like. I appreciate you have your own values and still published the video which shows me as a channel you only have your customers/viewers in mind and won't be bullied or bought by a company. I have subscribed and look forward to watching other videos.

I used MOHS EVO on my 2021 Mustang GT/CS this past weekend. I stripped previous Zaino Brothers polish (which I applied last August)...washed car with Dawn, clay barred all surfaces and polished with Gyeon Primer with 6" DA...followed with Gyeon Prep. All applications of the Gyeon products were put on in my garage with door open. Temp was in 70s. The MOHS single application went on very easy and wiped off just as easy. Flashing occurred within 10 seconds. I'm very happy with the gloss and depth, however I was starting with new paint. When I took delivery of my GT/CS from the dealer last August, I did not let them prep the stang and did initial detail by hand. My only complaint is the amount of product in the container. I purchased the 30ml size but ran out before I finished the passenger door and fender. I contacted Gyeon and they indicated I could apply another coat to those areas and just use the prep before hand. I can send you some pics if interested. I also used the Gyeon trim coating with good results as well. Overall I'm pleased and hope it lasts the 3 years as advertised.

Love using Gyeon. Can Coat (Pro) is an amazing and super easy to use product. Their Infinite coating I just got and I’ll be using on a vehicle this weekend. I’ll comment back here after I use it. Probably even make a video on it! Gyeon is an amazing product line and I am proud to be an installer of their products.

@@matthewh630 I used MOHS EVO and Infinite EVO and they were both SUPER easy to apply. They do sweat and are quick wipe off times. So far so good! Per usual from Gyeon. 😁

i have to say i disagree with Gyeon not wanting you to show this. I have watched many youtubers and most of them don't even talk about Gyeon. I enjoy how you do your shows and the way you handle yourself, your explanation of what you are describing. Keep doing what you do and thank you for all your wisdom. Now i know more about the new products of Gyeon

Great Video Jason. Gyeon is smoking crack! They are not entitled just because you're company sells their brand. Anyhow thank you for everything that you are doing and don't change! I have used the syncro evo and pure evo on several of my clients vehicles. Syncro skin is a bit tacky to wipe off. Pure looks amazing. No issues with their re- formulated line up

The shop I own is an authorized installer of Gyeon Coatings. Not quite sure why they wouldn't want you to post this????? If you see this comment - Will, id love to know why its too exploratory because if we start posting videos like this at our shop, I wouldn't take that as an answer. He nailed every comment on it, IMO Gyeon is too under rated. My customers LOVE it, I LOVE IT. It is the easiest coating to apply hands down (once again, IMO). Great vid.

Jason, good vid.. I admit I'm not sure why Gyeon would have an issue with this... you cannot really give a durability claim in an initial application vid.. Maybe there was a subliminal message I missed lol... I have not used many Gyeon products but I want to try SHOW on my personnel car this spring... Question, Can or should you use Can Coat as a maintenance topper to SHOW or Pure?

I do not know why Gyeon did not want you to release this video. Advising you to not release this video was a bad call. You are actually marketing this entire product line for them. Keep doing your honest and informative videos.

Did anyone have any trouble with the new EVO range, starting to see a lot of negative comments on the pure EVO, it being hard to apply and remove (thick and lumpy). just seen 2 different local high-end detailers apply Syncro and removed it the next day and apply a different brand, I don't know why they removed it, these guys get top dollar for their work.

I would like to know what is the coverage for 1 bottle of MOHS. I am thinking to coat a silverado AND a highlander with a 50ml bottle would i have enough to do 1 coat on each ??
