For years I was told that men are logical and women are emotional. But as I grew up I learned that it’s the exact opposite. Many men can’t even handle rejection. They take it so deeply and it’s weird. Sometimes even if the woman is married or in a relationship and she tells them, they can’t take it. Many can’t handle when a relationship ends also. They’re so emotional and the emotion they express a lot is anger.

I don't think there are many women who take rejection any better. You simply don't see women losing it as often because women rarely make the first move in the open. The fact is that rejection is a big strike to anyone's ego.

@@kleeyourenemies2927 I believe that's only because they know they don't have a force advantage over the man. So when you multiply the low odds of: 1. a woman asking a man out directly, 2. the man rejecting her, and then 3. the woman thinking she could beat him, it seems like women would never have the temperament to attack a man for rejecting them. When really, if a woman retaliates, she will do it socially like spreading rumors he's gay or that he sexually assaulted her. Such women would absolutely attack the man if they only had the strength. The truth is that both need therapy.

The fact that you don't know a single man in your life that wouldn't at least try to do something shows you that you don't live in that culture..... You live in a culture where men do care and women get convicted and charged with less severe punishments for the same crimes as men. It's the opposite in America. You're always going to find those extreme cases in any country. But for the most part in the United States of America we do care about equality in fact we care so much that we make sure that people of color or female genders get benefits over straight white males. Your welcome. Did you know most women didn't even want the right to vote because they fear that that would make them eligible for the draft and it was straight white men that overrode the majority of women and gave them the right to vote without those consequences? Literally my boyfriend is the only reason i usually don’t deal with that anymore but when I go places without him he’s always so thrown off by how quickly men surround me and try to coerce me into giving them my number. Unsettling how many men in the comments refused to see this as gender based violence and how many of them feel personally slighted bc Stephanie made a video calling attention to misogyny and DV against women. I hate how the FIRST comment supporting those monsters was: "If the woman wasn't so harsh when rejecting him, they wouldn't be beaten, TO THAT EXTENT." So they knew that if she said: "No please, leave me alone" she was still at the risk of being beaten just "not as bad"? What the fuck is wrong with these people. I have been in a position of saving a girl from a man that was trying to take her away when she was walking to the bus stop to get home. The second I heard her say no I started to get her away, while also threatening police. I got him to leave and I got on the bus and took that girl home. It was around 10 pm when I got her home. We told her parents and they didn't want to let me leave to get on my next bus home. Which I went on anyways because I just needed to make sure he wasn't coming back. Thankfully since we called the police while waiting for the bus I was met with 2 officers and was told he wasn't seen anywhere near my street. This happened right next to my apartment building. I always told myself that my experience of no one helping was because no one else was around, but watching this makes me feel so disgusted that it doesn't matter who is or isn't around, women are still alone.

My friends and I almost had something like this happen at a shao kao in Shandong. We had a regular dinner meeting at the same restaurant every week. The owners were well known to foreigners and their restaurant was cleaner than others in the area. The dinner was primarily ESL teachers, some foreign students from the universities, and some of our Chinese friends. It was not a language exchange, though we did occasionally help the owners’ daughter with her English homework. One night, a visiting Danish lecturer joined us with his 16 year old daughter and her 16 year old cousin. We were all enjoying our BBQ and beer when a random Chinese guy and his friend came over. He started hitting on the young Danish girls. The girls didn’t speak mandarin, so one of our Chinese friends told the guys the girls were only 16 and they needed to leave them alone. They left for a bit, but then came back to try again. Again, these men were told to leave the girls alone. One of them started cussing us out in mandarin. His friend dragged him away. Not long after that, the restaurant owner noticed the man on his phone. The owner worried the man was calling his friends to come jump us. The owner started calling his friends too, some of whom were triad. We told the owner we would go because we didn’t want to bring him trouble. His family was always good to us because we always looked out for them too, usually it just meant that he was paid in full at the end of the night. We would sometimes get people who ate, but didn’t pay at these dinners. Anyway, it was a good thing we left, as the guy’s friends did come. However, the triad enforcer whose shao kao was across the street stopped anything from happening. The enforcer’s son went to our school and I had taught him the previous year. We were lucky to have our restaurant friends looking out for us. I wish these girls had had someone looking out for them.

Girl 3 is so brave to do something when there were so many people, and MEN, that were just watching. There was a case in Philly last year where a woman was harrassed then assaulted for 6 minutes on the Septa and none of the passengers coming in and out of the train said or did anything. Another case with Kitty Genovese that coined the phrase genovese syndrome or bystander syndrome. Seriously so much respect for her 🤍

The Kitty case makes me so sad. Her brother couldn’t understand for the longest time why people did nothing. They took hours to call the police right? If just one person had called immediately, during the first attack, it’s speculated Kitty would’ve survived. But instead she died brutally over a period of hours. HOURS. How horrifying and upsetting that must have been. Knowing people could not only hear you, but *see* you, but help wasn’t coming no matter how much time passed. She fought so hard too.

Id like to think that I'd jump in if I witnessed this situation, but I think the other men didn't jump in because men are not as empathetic and we have a good understanding of how dangerous that type of situation really is. None of the bystanders could trust that the others had their back. Imagine facing down six thugs all by yourself. If they were willing to do that to women, they probably would have killed any lone man that jumped in. My heart goes out to the victims. It was a brutal injustice.

I get your point, but women know even better how dangerous it is to step in a situation like this, as they are physically weaker and we are aware of that fact. I can agree with everything but the part where you say "we have a good understanding of how dangerous that type of situation really us" just sounds so ridiculous. Like women are not that delusional to not know that. We know. I can partly agree with the empathetic part being the reason they didn't step up. But all those friends and that girl that tried to step in, were aware (if not more aware) but they stepped up not because they thought they wouldn't be in danger, but because they knew they could've been in the same situation (that's why I partly agree with the empathetic part. @@ziahreid9269 lots of people willingly put themselves in dangerous situations fully aware of the said danger when the only life on the line is their own (sky diving, big wave surfing). If any one of the men who sat by and watched it happen without even calling the police had stood up to try to intervene, would you say they were unaware of the danger of the situation or would commend them for doing what was right in the face of that danger? She suffered 40 over wounds, lost an eye, had her lower arm almost fully chopped off (thankfully it was re-attached and gain some functionality). All because he was upset with her after being a useless person for the family. Some brave men did tried to fend him off from attacking her using ladder, plastic chairs and dustbins but he continued like a maniac. Crazy how some netizens were victim blaming her for dating another person so she deserves it (they were estranged for a long time and she was the sole provider for their 2 kids back in China). People were even against her fundraising efforts to cover for her medical bills which was pretty transparent on the estimated costs because she asks for it and is undeserving.

Anyone can be keyboard warriors, and claim they’d jump in and do this and do that, but in reality, most would react this same exact way as the other bystanders, in real life. Let’s actually be realistic, the man who pulled his gf away, did her a solid. She would be of no help to the 4 girls, she’d just be another victim. And let’s be real real here, any of the other group of men, would just get beat up as well. They are strangers to each other, and so there’s really only 2 of them. They have no idea the other 2 groups of 2 guys would jump in. So 2 guys against 7, they’d just get beat up as well. This is exactly what the bystanders were all thinking. And we as Americans, we can say this and that, but understand that the culture and life is very different from country to country. Americans are hard wired and taught to stand up for their beliefs and stand proud even if you’re standing alone. Asians are hard wired and taught to stay low key, avoid any problems, and keep your mouth shut if it’s not your personal issue.

They are so incredibly strong and loving and loyal to eachother. My heart shatters for them. Even the girl that got dragged away felt a loyalty and need to try and help protect these girls that were complete strangers to her. That speaks volumes about her character. NOBODY, male or female, deserves this. It's insane that none of the men stepped in to protect these girls when its clear they would've jumped in to help protect them if the tables were turned. That's just an excuse so women can never "win." In any given scenario where a woman is sexually assaulted, men want to have an "out" to get away with it. So they have devised two primary ways. If a woman does not fight back and acts submissive in order to save her life, they will tell her she should've said no. In the case that she does say no and fights back, they can claim you were too combatative and provoking. They simply want to have it both ways. And they have also entrapped women into believing this rhetoric as well. What those women don't realize is that these men would gladly do the same to her and use her own logic against her. I think it goes without saying that obviously not all men are violent, but a good portion of them are. I mean, seriously. When was the last time a woman beat the shit out of a man anf his friends for rejecting her? Why are the overwhelming majority of pedophiles men? Why are most murderers men? I think to say that men are not inherently violent or atleast more violent to some degree is just wrong. Across the globe there is a clear criminal difference between men and women. At this point we have to face reality. All women need to be carrying weapons and taking self defense classes. Not because we should have to or because it should be our responsibility, but because many men out there are nothing more than primitive animals running on basic emotion and impulse. And it is clear we cannot rely on other men to protect us. I have a hunch that if one of the men's girlfriends in this video was attacked, they would've ran off leaving her behind. Just basing that off their demeanor.

The truth is, people who think that women are the ones that always need to do something different when something escalates to violence. Because there is no recipe to avoid it since the irrational one is the man that is violent. Any type or rationality wouldn't work, which is why victim blaming is just mysoginistic. In many ways, even the women in the video did plenty of things that likely kept them alive and could've been the deciding moment of whether or not they live. The fact that they still survived is proof that they handled things well enough. Likely if someone tried to talk to the police sooner and if the police were actually ready to do their job for cases like these, it could've been solved faster.

I have a friend who worked with disabled children who had a co worker that harrassed her. I encouraged her to bring it up, when she did, she got dismissed. Later a different girl approached her, apparently he was harrassing many. They came together to band against the guy - and still got dismissed. It was only once he started going after the disabled children they got rid of him.

I’m not a woman or a girl, but I lived with mostly women in my life. I always saw my sister get beaten up by my father for stupid reason and as a 6-8 years I always froze when it happens and cry because I don’t know what to do to help her. Even till today I still feel guilty that I couldn’t do anything to help my sister. It makes me sad knowing a lot of women get abused for absolutely zero reason. All we can do now is just hope this stops and this toxic culture between men ends.
@lauraanderson8785
@lauraanderson8785 8 месяцев назад
That's completely different since you were a child and you would've had to go against a grown man if you had interfered. You don't have to feel so guilty, your situation isn't the same as this one where adults didn't do anything. Plus abusive family dynamics are different, the children in these types of families have been taught to fear and obey their parents from a young age. In this case there were no family dynamics at play and there were multiple adults present who would've had the power to stop it if they had tried. Of course it's sad what your father did, you were both his victims

That whole police show is outraging. And to say "call your husband to join you at night. Don't confront strangers." Makes me so freaking mad. We should be able to go out at any time without the fear of being assaulted and/or raped by men. And the fact they were still like kinda putting blame on women is disgusting. Nothing to do with you being a woman. Men have to go out at night too with the risk of being beaten, robbed, or killed. That's reality. Bad people exist and do bad things. Them giving advice to help women be safe is something that should be obvious. I swear, if we still lived in the wild you women would be saying stupid shit like "It makes me so mad. We should be able to go out in the woods at anytime without the fear of being assaulted or eaten by wolves. The fact that they're putting the blame on us women is disgusting. Saying things like 'Dont go out alone in the dark. Don't feed the wildlife. Don't go near bear cubs.' Kinda implies that it's the woman's fault." The world isn't a peaceful utopia. You have to be responsible with your safety, or deal with the consequences. As strong, independent women, you're now dealing with the same dangers men have always had to deal with. Hi. I really hope you read this comment. Violence against women is a very big problem, especially in places of Asia. I'm Indian, and recently, I came across a crime which took place over here. A girl, a mere 16 year old, was beaten to death by her ex-boyfriend publicly. People who were there just walked by causally, even after seeing what that monster was doing to her. The video of the attack was so traumatizing that I couldn't help but cry at the pain she must have endured before she met her end. She was killed at the hands of someone she had once trusted. It is the Sakshi Dixit Murder Case. I would be glad if you could cover this case on your channel. Crimes like these must receive international attention. We must spread awareness about the injustice women all over the world are constantly facing. So please go through the Sakshi Dixit Murder case once.

A wife along with her affair partner are legally torturing her husband and his family after they supported her dream of becoming a government official (the cost of education for that is insanely high especially for a lower income family like them). There are women killing their husbands in favor of their affair partners, etc. So bottomline is that innocent people are getting screwed over by criminals because society is too bigoted and biased in one way or another. What we need is an impartial mindset that "All crime is disgusting and should be stopped/punished". Only then will we have a safe and just society.

It's just disgusting that these problems exist much more then people know because much of it is experienced by victims that are controlled to not speak out. *And then those males wonder why more women are rejecting dating, rejecting marriage and rejecting having children. Because it is clear that so many males are inhumane misogynists and a misogynist is an enemy to women (just like a racist is an enemy to a black person, for example) and of course a woman doesn’t love and doesn’t want to date and she doesn’t want to have children with an enemy. And yes, most males are enemies to women since statistically (according to the WHO organization) 1 in 3 women globally is experiencing physical or sex-al v!olence from a male intimate ‘partner’ (and the numbers are actually higher if you remember that women in the Middle East and women in Asian countries like China and India are usually too scared to say that the reason for the divorce is because the male was v!olent to her, so the real numbers are 2 in 3 women; not 1 in 3. This means that 2 in 3 males are so emotional to the point of being v!olent to women. This is crazy. So males are illogical when they behave like enemies to women, but they also want to date or spend time with women. And as you saw: random males attacking a woman because she has a right to reject males that she doesn’t want. And the other males watched as he attacked her; this further shows that most males are enemies to their mother’s gender. People if you agree with this comment, screenshot and share, to alert people about the statistics.*

Thank you Stephanie for covering this case. As a Chinese girl I was utterly disgusted by some Chinese netizens defending the attacker, saying the victim “got what she deserved” because she dare to disrespect and humiliate“the man” in public. Some man are just so narcissistic and entitled that they think everyone should respect them and protect their ego just because they are “the big strong man”, while in reality they are nothing but petty loser who can’t find fulfillment in other aspects of their life that they just take their frustrations out on other physically weaker people, including children, women and the elderly. Even some women were blaming the victim, saying she could’ve handled things in a gentler manner instead of standing up for herself so “aggressively”. Although things have gotten better in the younger generations, this type of mentality still exists in older generations around us.😢
