The View From The Lighthouse 

On shifting sand no boat can sail
A plaintive wind cease not to wail.
A glowing orb looks out to sea;
Atop the staff sits none but me.
A million waves march on the land,
And in the moonlight, thresh the sand.
In wide horizons, free to roam
But yet nowhere to call my home.
