So, so honest is John. Real honour and pleasure to sit down and recount stories of a great time to be a villa fan.

Dan Bardell we need to sack Bruce now and bring this man back he's our last hope

Dan Bardell People saying there's no alternative to Bruce - John Gregory & a young assistant coach until the end of the season is an option He inherited a wayward dressing room off Little & turned things around The way we're going just now it's hard to see where the next point is coming from let alone a win! Like a hot knife going through butter ..teams are just slicing through us at the moment That's unbelievable for a Steve Bruce team TBH

Gregory is morphing into Robert De Niro circa Heat. Both legends.

Had some brilliant seasons under Gregory. Played some brilliant games [we will never forget the 3-2 Arsenal game.] His stats speak for themselves. I believe he has the record for most Premiership wins as a Villa manager.

Absolutely superb again. I'm in total heaven everytime I watch one of these videos. The memories are like yesterday for me and John makes you feel like you were there, right by his side, when he recounts all of the things that happened back then (especially when you remember them so clearly yourself too.) I always loved John, but my respect and admiration for the man grows tenfold with each and every video you post. 12 out of 10 again, fellers. UTV VTID

Great interview. It's a pity the present manager does not speak directly to the fans

This really is top work lads, really enjoying watching this. Love how you just let John talk, prompting him here and there. He seems like such a genuine guy. I was 7 in 99 and my parents bought me a half season ticket for Christmas, so that Villa team were my heroes. Saw some cracking games at VP, the Carbone hat trick v Leeds in the FA cup stands out. My birthday was the same weekend as the cup final in May, and after watching us scrape past Bolton in the semi on pens I thought it was meant to be. I'm too young to remember 94 and 96, I've seen us lose 3 cup finals now, hoping to see us win one in my time. Despite how bad we are at the moment, watching this reminds me how much I love the Villa. Thanks for all of your efforts lads, brilliant.

Is it me, but as the interviews go on, John seems more animated, perhaps we could use him again

wonderful part of the series, I don't want to listen about the cup final, still hurts when we an excellent run in both cups that season.

A manager taking responsibility for once. What is this?!

Great manager but spent badly on stone and Thompson. Merson was nearing the end of his career so I think he could have done a bit better on transfers.
