@@Twitchte He means that saying "Not just any Stradivarius" is something ridiculous to say as all Stradivari's are extremely rare to get your hands on. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see or play any Strad and this one just happens to be slightly more rare.
@@peterdeck2696 True, but all strads are extremely high quality and the ones made during his Golden Age are just his peak of instruments. Saying "not just any Strad" makes them sound like every day items.
Yes, that band that holds the top of the case vertical stretches a little, and the staples come a little loose, and then the super anoying thing wanting to fall back happens. It just needs to be adjusted very slightly, and it won't do that anymore. Sometimes a little glue, or maybe another staple. I'm talking, but mine does that too ... heh heh ... and I've even fixed it before.
Kavakos can play a Yamaha chinese version violin and still would sound 10000 times better than many stars today....many. Far too many.... Talking about violins is only making himself interesting... He can play ANY violin as well
I heard him performing on his Stradivarius and also on "that Guadagnini" and he sounded sublime on both, I honestly couldn't tell any difference in a concert hall.
I'd love to find the rest of the footage of him trying different fine violins! If anyone sees this and could point me in the direction of that I would greatly appreciate it!!
I'd call Germany the capital of engaging in the activity of advocating for the removal of rights from citizens of other countries. Strange consistency I see. Like you all didn't learn your lesson the second time hahaha.
@@MD-zm6sn Unfortunately, Deutschland/ Deutsches Reich is an occupied country called Germany. The people cannot help this protectorate administration. Any elections to the "government/parliament" in the FRG are falsified or manipulated.
winrx Oh how smart!!! I thought of a Guadagnini 1734, really, at least when he plays Brahms... When he plays Sibelius sounds more like Montagnana for sure...but the late ones....
@@rlkinnardThey are better, of course not a lot better than modern high-end violins but the better listner you are the more difference those little improvements make. You also obviously can't hear it in recordings, you have to actually give it a listen in person. You are also missing the point, I'm sure some of the best modern violins might be even better than Stradivari's ones but they are better because they perfected what Stradivari has started. The guy was a genious that pushed the entire industry forward.
