not to sound horrible/pathetic/dark, but I've been going through some extremely hard losses back to back.. ontop of struggling with mental illnesses & now just recently got left/blindsided by (who I thought), was the love of my life of 4 years, and have been seriously contemplating.. **you know**, and basically have everything.. "ready", today I've been up since 3am ready.. and cried myself back to sleep.. tried to "ignore" it, and do my daily routine.. and now watching this..... truly made me laugh a little today and is currently distracting my su*cidal urges for now..... thank you hunnies for being here and saving me at least for today..... 😥🙏🏻❤️❤️

Another great pod! I'm also a true crime junkie. That case from Duchesne (yes that is du-shane) sounds so familiar so I'll have to look into it. I do have ties to Ted Bundy, but first I live in the area that Josh and Susan Powell lived. And I've camped at that same site he said he took the boys to for "smores". If ya'll ever go camping in the West Desert, absolutely bring protection. Between the rattlesnakes, other critters, and the occasional meth head critter if it comes down to you or them always do what's necessary. It's good practice to do while camping overall. Please read up on your local laws too. Anyways, we went in late winter so I can say that there's no reason to randomly bring kids out there to make smores during a blizzard in your little mini van. To get there takes intention as well. That case drives me insane for so many reasons. My heart goes out to the family. Now with Bundy, when his girlfriend at the time moved here she was actually renting an apartment from a place my great grandparents were the property managers at. He was in law school at the U. My great aunt ran into him a few times and thought he was just a nice guy, but she had blonde hair that was always in a beehive. As he was causing chaos he ended up at the southern end of the Salt Lake Valley and eventually made his way to Utah County. My family had horse property in Draper which is actually where the state prison is also. My mom and the neighbor girl were barrel racers so of course they were just out riding. A random dude came up with a camera and asked if he could take some pictures. I asked my mom about what year this was and he was in fact in Utah at that time. I then showed her a couple photos to see what she'd say. So I first showed the game show killer and then a mugshot of Bundy from around that time. She was adamant that the mugshot was the guy they encountered. He was more interested in my mom than the neighbor girl which had blonde hair. My mom had long dark brown hair. They thankfully told him no, but that got him fired up and he went to reach for my 6 horse's bridle and halter. She pulled back from him which is never a good sign about someone. He tried again and my moms horse reared back and she took off. He never came back. I've also been to where his house was in East Canyon and boy it is just off. I went into the cellar of this house which is the only standing thing structure on that lot. There's no way someone would hear another crying for help since it's fairly remote.
