We should strive to see situations from different perspectives, understand what is right and wrong, and only then draw a conclusion. Sadly, the world today is filled with hate, anger, and violence. In the midst of all this, if we fail to appreciate a global peace icon like the Dalai Lama, it forces us to question who we are and where we are heading in these modern times.

I am Dutch and I watched the unedited video a couple of weeks ago, long before the whole controversy. At that time, I didn't see anything wrong with it, also the comments under the video where very positive at the time. Every person in his/her right mind can clearly see that it was all very playful and loving, no bad intentions whatsoever. Maybe it's because I've been following H.H. for quite some time on youtube that I wasn't suprised or shocked by his behaviour, because he's always like that. He doesn't care about politcal correctness and what other people think of him, he acts very natural and spontaneous. His words an actions can sometimes be a little vexing for the woke generation, but I love that about him. Long live his holiness the Dalai Lama!

It's true for a country like India which has the most diversity then any other country, It should be noted that culture and it's regular practice is definitely going to be different from other part of the country! So instead of making it huge headline, we should focus on how people over there are responding; If it's in a positive way then it's normal there and vice versa.
