This sets up I believe joseph's history mentioned in the pearl of great price - The Father and the Son appear, and Joseph is called to his prophetic ministry. (Verses 1-20.) Then if that be the case then - The Father and the Son may appear personally to men; 4-7, The Father and the Son have bodies of flesh and bones - 22 The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones but is a personage of Spirit.
