They are real soldiers. Jimin and Jungkook are in division 5 which is the border of North and South Korea Jimin is a leader in artillery. Since he’s a math genius, he took a test and they sent him to more specialized training. He is the guy that tells the soldiers where to aim the tank. Jimin graduated boot camp as the top conscript. He has been promoted to a Sgt. JK is doing well. He did sustain a foot or leg injury. I think it’s the reason he ended up changing assignments. He was suppose work in artillery too. He began working in the kitchen. He loves to cook plus he is great. Jin Suga and JK are the best cooks in the group. V work in special forces as military police in Seoul (outskirts) He has become hot man with muscles because he was featured first in the advertisements and he is buff/ muscles, yeah. RM is in the military band. He and V were two of the top 6 conscripts in their basic training. Jin was presented with the elite soldier award before discharge. He was the top conscript in his basic and he became an assistant drill instructor. J-Hope who is scared of everything was a standout in basic. I think he became an instructor and then was promoted to corporal. Suga is in alternative service due to his prior shoulder injury. He works as a social worker. Everyone received vocal training while they were trainees except Jimin. Jimin took the initiative and asked JK and V if he could sit in their vocal classes. Then at night he would practice. Training and development along with CEO Bang didn’t Provide him with top training because they didn’t know what to do with Jimin. So for three months, he trained himself. He only became an official trainee 6 months before they debuted in June 2013. He went through hell. Imagine a perfectionist who is that guy in school that is great in everything. He prepares, he studies and you throw him in without giving him a syllabus. He is flying blind. They threatened to cut him 8 times. Jimin would always tell his dad that he probably won’t make but don’t worry he will just do something else. STEM genius. So, he couldn’t sing well. Suga intervened after he learned that they were trying to make him a rapper. He told them it’s obvious Jimin is a vocalist. Guess what: he could hit high notes that most male singers could not do because males’ vocal chords are thicker. Those became the standouts and helped the group get noticed along with Jimin’s perfect abs. Plus, he created choreo that enhanced their routines like the iconic hat choreo. The kiss the hand in Butter choreo. RM who is the bestest thanked Jimin and said they would not have made it without him. The high note king. He recognizes that all of them were essential to the group’s success. JK had natural vocal skills, but he couldn’t dance and he was painfully shy. He didn’t dance with feeling. Bang sent him to LA with Song DEUK for additional training. V helped JK become more social. Jimin was shy, but not on stage or in front of a camera. He had the it factor. Lyric videos aren't always accurate. They can all do adlibs, but Jungkook adds harmonies and adlibs the most and also does all their guides. That's why he's the main vocalist. This is one of my favorites by the vocal line! I also love Butterfly and Zero O'Clock. LO, your knowledge of BTS is admirable! Love it! 💜

Jimin never got vocal lessons he practiced on his own and when JK and V were having their vocal lessons he asked the staff if he could watch them Jimin talked about it in a interview.

The boys are real deal soldiers. For example, Jimin is in the team that calculates and directs cannon fire, Fire Direction Artillery Unit I think. Suga is the only one not soldiering due to his shoulder injury, but it’s worse, he has to do 2 years in social services instead of 18 months. Jung Kook is a cook, which is one of the hardest jobs. V is Military Police Special Forces. Jin and J Hope were/are trainers and both promoted early. RM is considered Elite as well, active duty and all 7 had to pass boot camp. I’m sure someone will fine tune my details 😊

I love Jimin's voice the most he just makes me feel 😩😂

Jungkook does the vocal guides of the songs. He deserves to be the the main vocal. His song My Time was even recognised by Beyonce for the riffs that he does on that song. Jimin has the most delicate tone. Jin is a stable singer for the high notes he sings. Though a baritone, V has the an incredible range as a singer, you want high notes V? Listen to Stigma.

The only one that started the vocal lessons after debut was Jimin (you can watch their interview sections on the variety show Yoo Quiz on the Block). JK has the most stable vocals out of them, V has the wildest range among them.. Jimin and Jin bring the heat with the high notes and Jimin has the most unique vocal color in the group, Jimin landed the lead vocalist of the group with barely 6 months of training with them yet they leave him out of vocal lessons and no one understands why fr, he even debuted as the only main dancer, later JHope was added as a main dancer... but tbh i dont think positions are as stiff now as they were in the past

The guy who knew the guys’ ages is the only person I could bear to listen to and the only one who respects BTS. I hope he gets his own channel and cuts these other two loose.

Just so you know. Jimin never had vocal lessons. He watched and practiced on his on. From day one he was also lead vocal because at that time no one else could hit the high notes. The others are Truth Untold and Zero o'clock.... JK has perfect pitch, he's the king of the ad libs, and can sing whatever he wants hehehe, but Jimin and Jin get the higher notes. V, Jin, and Jimin have very particular voices, you can recognize them easily.

PLEASE do not say things that are offensive to JK. That is unnecessary. I REALLY wish you would refrain from comparing and ranking the members abilities. This ALWAYS leads to unkind comments and arguments in the comments. JK is the one many make negative comments about because the one at the top is the one that people with other biases attack. Jung Kook is not good because he had vocal lessons and the others didn’t. Please don’t say things that are not true. Not one member had experience before becoming trainees. Some had some training AFTER becoming trainees, but JK chose not to have many. Suga even mentioned in Suchwita that JK had ZERO experience. In that one guy’s defense, V and JK do look eerily alike here’s I can see him getting them confused. Also, I’m not sure if the confusion was about who was doing the skatting. That was JK.

i believe currently after all the years together they really dont focus on positions and everyone stands out in their own way. i never say this one is lead and that one is main blah blah. they all have their specific color and they bring different sounds to our vocal line . i feel the same about the rappers. all of them to me are on the same level. they all have their own specific color. and all rap differrent and have different rap styles . but they are all amazing

Jungkook didn't have vocal training before Bts , he said he didn't go to vocal lessons much , he just kept singing in every chance he get . he is mostly self taught vocalist so it's really impressive the level he is right now Jimin didn't get vocal training either before debut but maybe yes after debut he went to vocal lessons in order to improve

Suga is the only one rocking a desk job for his military service thanks to his shoulder injury. Jin worked, and Jhope is working as drill Sargents training new recruits. V applied and was accepted into the elite counter terrorism police for which he received extra special ops training. All of them have received awards for excellence in the military.

JK is BTS' main vocalist, he's always ad-libbing, riffing, and handling a lot of the choruses. He has an absolute killer voice. Jimin is their lead vocalist, he’s known for the high notes (he's a countertenor and his voice is very unique so it tends to cut through the melody quite often) Jin in my opinion, has the best belts. He can hold a sustained note like nobodies business, and his vocal range is ridiculously impressive. V is the vocal lines baritone, his tonal quality and range is also very unique. He often handles bridges cuz his voice has this ability to just pull it all together

Jimin should be a main vocalist as well...lol..in the beginning, Jimin never gets a vocal lessons, he was only watching JK and V doing their lessons and he learned from that and practiced his own....but he was always assigned to sing the falsettos on their songs all the time thats how amazing his voice....he has an angelic and a very unique tone of voice that is mesmerizing.

For me all of them are amazing vocalists but to be the main vocalists takes more than just sings beautifully. I don't know music production but I remember someone dissecting one of their songs and he chose a specific adlibs which consists of 4 vocal layers and all were done by Jungkook. The kid laroi also praises Jungkook's adlibs in too much. Charlie Puth said that Jungkook is one of the 3 people who ever sent him perfect vocals where he only need to copy and paste. Also, Jungkook has the most stable voice when performing. Suga called Jungkook vocal genius for a reason. He did most of BTS' vocal guides. Some people might not aware how difficult this is. You are the person who linked the melody and the lyrics and make it a complete song. I remember a guest in suchwita said that he stressed out listening to Jungkook's guide because it's already so good 😅. I love how they sound emotional in this song (it's an emotional song...duh😂). I low key wished after the military, they get a song with similar vibe to this song or pied piper. Not to mention army patiently waiting for them to perform louder than bombs live.

You're wrong. V has to do most unique voice because he can go hugh or low. Jk gets most lines because of everything he does. Jimin actually has a very high note, and jin is an outstanding vocalist and has worked very hard to get there. But it's ok because i really think your bias is jk, not V.

The lyric videos are always wrong. They barely ever show JK doing the harmonies and ad libs. They dont light his face up when he is singing. You can tell the difference when they show him doing the live version. Jk was also another member that had never sung before joining the group. He took a few vocal lessons but decided to quit and work on his vocals by himself. He wanted to be able to create his own colour and used to practice by himself every spare second no matter what he was doing. He is also the most stable singer when dancing, so when you put all them together thats what makes him the Main vocalist, his technique and versality are outstanding. He has been called the DNA of the group by RM and a genius by Suga because of the layers of harmonies and adlibs he adds to the songs. Jk is main vocalist Jimin is lead vocalist and V and Jin are vocalists. To start with JK did have the majority of lines but alot of the fandom didnt think it was fair and wanted more distribution for the other members. Even now when you watch line distribution videos JK still has the highest percentage most of the time but its not because he is singing the majority of the lines, its all the backing vocals he does that builds the percentage up.
